Because people are easily manipulated and will be highly motivated to win any competitions even if they're fake and nonsensical. Back in 2014 one of my university buddies worked at a chain restaurant, and they had a competition there where the franchise in the province that sold the most of one type of beer would win a prize but if you finished in the bottom-3 of the competition you'd get corporate audited. Fun fact: the place he worked at was the only one in the entire province.
I've just never been a fan of "social media" in general. I don't have a facebook, don't have a twitter, don't have an instagram, and barely use emails. For me if you aren't in my direct circle of contacts then you probably aren't important enough to me.

Oh, I'd argue islamic terrorists are better than them. In islam the entire point is that you're serving a higher deity now to make your afterlife better, like a multi-world barter system. Kiiinda. I know in certain areas it's a bit hard to, namely parts of ontario quebec and southern BC (hence why they don't bother controlling much of the crime there). Yeah, that's kinda become a theme especially around where I live. People will set up some sort of trauma for themselves, whether it be intentionally getting into car accidents or leading their mentally unstable kid towards bad thoughts, then use go fund me to make a quick buck.
A few months ago we had a woman in her mid 40s get arrested because of it, after police got footage of her going 70KPH in a school zone then claiming on go fund me she couldn't drive her kid to important doctor's appointments. Not only did they find out that she never had a kid at all, but the van she "borrowed" for this incident had its brakes intentionally disabled.

Look at the most popular gay-catered media, and 99% of them have the main love interest as a guy who either isn't gay and doesn't want to be bothered with them and/or is anti-gay and while burning down one of their houses comes to the realization that he could send a "better message" by having sex with one of them. 50 shades of grey wasn't revolutionary, they just stole gay fanfiction and made it more marketable with straight characters.
To be fair she was referring to her world ending, like how teenagers used to say they "wish they were dead" after making stupid mistakes. Isn't this the case with most of society right now? I remember seeing an article in the local newspaper that suggested in the next 5 years more than 40% of all women over 18 will use onlyfans or an "affiliate" to supplement their incomes.
Actual physical "whoring" is a dying profession right now, as human trafficking has made it so the average woman can't compete. Much like everything else prostitution has gone digital. Why risk an STD and go out of your way to travel when you can post nudes online and make 2-3x as much per month?
