I've been working on trying to make the description as full yet lean as possible to really nail how absurd it is, lemme try.
At 2am in Chicago, Illinois, during a polar vortex in the middle of winter, two White supremacist Trump supporters recognized a black man from his television show about gays and non-Whites at a distance, and just so happened to be carrying bleach and a length of rope which was pre-tied into a noose. They called out to him by both name and television show title. They attacked Juicy Smelly, shouted "this is MAGA Country!" (in Chicago Illinois), then left him to walk home with his Subway sandwich.
I think the temperature itself is notable, beyond just "polar vortex", since the crux of the story is pouring bleach upon him, in an outside-exposed parking garage, because the air temperature at the time was below that at which bleach freezes solid.
Unless they indicate that they vote in a way that doesn't align them with the left. All of a sudden, they are "Uncle Toms", "The black face of white racism", and are (presumably) capable of lying again.
Y'know, there are lies, and then there's this sort of thing. Where you are proved wrong, and you still lie.
But fuck all that. I want a headline to say "The Sky is falling" when it's proven to be a lie. That's all I want out of this, a chicken little comparrison using the team's name.
Or at least a basketball pun like get dunked on, or something.
The lies are part of the overriding media strategy. As long as she maintains “her truth”, the complicit media can report the story through the lens of her belief. They can breathlessly claim “x accuses y of racism”, and it’s technically true. The moment the accuser recants, the headlines have to change. So as long as she keeps lying, they can keep lying by omission.
I hadn't considered that angle. Information warfare.
It makes a lot of sense. They can feign that they didn't know, because the lie continues, and perpetuates as more people see it.
Then if it's not true, they can just do the newspaper equivalent of writing the 'oops, we didn't know' on page 16 a few months later where no one will see it. And the lie can continue. But by then it will have sat as true in the minds of many, so the lie becomes the truth.
It's the same reason we allow blacks into hockey or whites into the nba: it's always fun to watch them fail but if 1 in every 10000 succeeds it still sells a ton of merch to that demographic.
