the whole reason for the crusades was an Islamic invasion

The whole reason for France was an Islamic invasion.

There was always garbage in the EU. Some of it is great, but you also had shit like Karen Traviss pretending the Mandalorians are the real heroes of the Star Wars universe.

Sounds like a cynical trademark tie-in. G.I. Joe and Transformers make sense - they have established characters and settings on which to hang plots - and Barbie at least has characters. Hot Wheels are just toy cars.

No, I'm fairly certain it's Macron's fault for shooting the messenger when they told him that betraying Charles Martel's legacy was going to cause disaster.

EFAP 243 is still up. If the others are down, it's presumably targeting anything with any clips from the movie or trailer.

Like so many things, they have missed the point.

I think you're the one who has missed the point. They aren't in the past, and they aren't training soldiers. You might as well complain that they are training HEMA technique instead of telling people where to buy a gun.

Donbas and the Crimean Peninsula were never part of Zelensky's regime. They are the rump of pre-revolution Ukraine, the part that won the 2010 election.

Americans United for Separation of Church and State CEO Rachel Laser

That's not an expert, that's an activist. An expert would be something like a judge with years of experience covering constitutional cases - you know, like the ones who made the decision.

As much as I'd prefer creators just avoid the jailbait edge cases and stick to 18+ characters, a 16 year old is physically mature and above plenty of civilised places' age of consent.

If you ever hear someone screaming for the extermination of half of all non-whites, that's just your average pro-abortion activist. 29,007 dead, 24,108 alive.

If adding one criminal to a city removes two normal people, either by white flight or by murder, then you've reduced the demand for housing.

And/or women end up in a cycle of blaming others for their own flaws and mistakes and bitching about it non-stop.

Men can do that too - that's a textbook definition of an incel.

Taxing wealth is stupid, when taxing income is fairer, easier and less disruptive. Taxing "unrealised gains" is utter bullshit, unless it comes with an obligation to offer to buy the asset at its appraised value.

Do you want Slaaneshi Tyranids? Because that's how you get Slaaneshi Tyranids.

What does Kathy have on Disney that she still has a job?

She's the regimental standard, the symbol of their infestation? If they're forced to get rid of their most visible representative, it's proof the industry should get rid of them all.

Not all of them, but I could imagine that is a defined subspecies of transsexual: the balding man whose midlife crisis involves reinventing himself as a faux woman.

Ah, but these are mentally ill children! Surely they are more capable of making informed decisions, and not merely parroting whatever the adult who told them they need mental health care wants them to say.

I'd agree with that. Knowing how sneaky you can be and still get picked up is a secret. Knowing that an extremely un-sneaky thing just off the Canadian coast is above that threshold is hardly any information at all.

That too - ELF is Nikola Tesla mad science brought to life, using an entire power station to energise two electrodes fifty to sixty kilometers apart, to turn the Earth into your antenna.

Anyone who knows anything about submarines knew this was defamatory bullshit. If you're not at periscope depth or using a tethered buoy, you're not using radio waves to communicate without ridiculous engineering projects like ELF transmitters.

As the nuclear field continues to reflect on its legacy of exclusion and homogeneity...

That right there says "I am selling nuclear secrets to ISIS." If you think nuclear proliferation is a good thing, I don't trust you.

You're not going to be able to manually operate an escape hatch until you're on the surface anyway - the inside of the submersible is almost certainly going to be at a lower pressure than the outside so you don't have to worry about giving everyone the bends coming back up.

Which would be fine if the budget wasn't $200 million. Between this and Turning Red, Disney has spent $400 million plus marketing on that niche topic.

This is what happens when modern writers write what they know. Elementals can be cool, but not when you stick them into a procedurally generated urban Californian story. It's like if The Incredibles was just the first part, with a superhero family living an unfulfilling suburban life.
