Have you wondered how much better the world would be if Hollywood execs had the capacity to admit they can make a stinker?
Not good enough, I want them to take full responsibility and commit sepuku to restore their honor. Preferably retroactively for past stinkers too.
The problem is what happens to their stock price every time they do admit it, even tacitly. The market tends to overreact when execs come out and openly say, "We released a product that is going to lose money." Investors treat that shit like it portends the apocalypse.

I should say, that's the first time I remember in my lifetime watching a movie and thinking wow, there was nothing redeemable about that. It was horrid.
