He tried AA once or twice but, like the Redditor-in-spirit he is, refuses to accept that there just might be a higher power he needs to submit to. He's convinced he's smarter than everyone else and it's not his fault he's an alcoholic, that it's just a disease that he can only manage and not cure with the help of God alone. It's sad. I pray for him but I fear he'll just drink himself to death and refuse every chance he's offered to get better.
