Says People Wanted to See BioWare Fail

Chad yes.

It didn't have to be this way. You did this, not me.

I hope the tourists and locusts stay absolutely devastated. Or fuck off completely, that's still and option.

Chad yes.

As someone who got on board the Bioware train with the original launch of Baldur's Gate...yeah, this is my stance as well.

After we told them we aren’t making games for straight white males anymore, even though they are the reason we are in business, they got mad at us. Wasn’t there a dev posting how the fantasy stories are changing for the better and everyone else is stuck in the past? I stopped pay attention after inquisition and I shouldn’t have even gotten that.

BioWare died the day EA bought it. This current iteration has only now finally finished robbing its grave.

Yeah, this isn't wanting to see it fail as much as it is wanting to see a desecrated corpse finally laid to rest.

Dragon Age Origins was the last game Bioware made. It's been a catastrophic downhill slide ever since then.

Mass Effect 2 was their last best product, everything went to shit with mass effect 3

Companies are like Buffalo Bill in a skin suit when the original founders sell.

Not quite yet, there's still mass effect and KOTOR to desecrate

Mass Effect: Andromeda?

And Disney has already done Star Wars thoroughly

It's too easy to place the blame on EA. They have been incredible lenient with Bioware with the exception of DA2.
ME:A, Anthem and DA:VG all had years of development time with minimal EA involvement. They were all shit games even ignoring woke mentality rot. Bioware never had anything good to show after 2-3 years of dev time. That EA then says "We want a product for our money, finish something" is understandable.

I personally thought it was a really strong game. I thought it was just BioWare being more BioWare.

BioWare is a “two movies, one screen” situation. A lot of their fans are tumblr degenerates who only care about gay ships and turning every character queer. For them, Veilguard was the best game yet. Based on sales, however, the majority of original BioWare fans were there for the gameplay and storytelling, both of which went massively downhill after Origins and Mass Effect 2. The company made their choice to cater to the activist crowd instead of the old school rpg fans, and rest is history.

If some empty headed VA claiming to be a longtime fan is somehow confused about why transgender Dragon Age flopped, then she never liked the series for the right reasons in the first place.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is painfully woke, especially when you get beyond act one, but it gets the gameplay and storytelling elements right enough for a lot of people. If the game dialed up the woke while everything else declined in quality, you’d see a lot of feminists “confused” as to why it failed - because they’re only looking for woke elements and then conflating them with success.

A lot of their fans are tumblr degenerates who only care about gay ships and turning every character queer.

Japanese fujo girls are able to keep an entire fucking industry afloat on just their desire to see boys fuck. So much so that they have multiple sub industries based on preference.

These weak American homos can barely support the handful of single games trying to give them the same.

To this day I still remember sitting in a class at uni and the topic of Mass Effect 3 coming out spiraled off into what relationship options people would be getting and how Kaiden could be gay this time 🙄 to say the ones focusing on that were stereotypical for the context would be underselling things.

ME3 was still a good game right up until the ending where all of your prior decisions collapsed into a single end with different colors.

I don't want to see BioWare fail. I enjoyed Neverwinter Nights (the 2002 one), I enjoyed Mass Effect 1-3, I enjoyed DA:O, I enjoyed KOTOR. They make good games.

I do want to see social justice fail, and it seems that BioWare is hellbent on being collateral damage.

How many people who worked on any of those games are even still at Bioware at this point? This isn't a ship of Theseus paradox, it's absolutely not the same company anymore. Just a brand name and IP owners.

That's a good, if sad, point. Incidentally, do you know where any of them ended up? I'd gladly support their new efforts as the husk of BioWare crumbles.

What's a matter, the modern audience wasn't there for you?

You said it was huge, that you didn't need us, didn't want us. So we stayed away.

Didn't they pick up the slack and buy a gorillion copies?

No? Huh, it's almost like they only exist on social media and the second they're needed they're scatter like cockroaches when the lights go on.

But it's okay, I'm sure bemoaning all the reasons it's your fault and you deserve it, but try and pin it on us anyway will totally get us to give up and buy whatever you push...

Also they turned Jill valentine to a foul mouth ugly strong female character.

Good, perish. I'm not enough of a slop eater to even pretend bioware was making good games 16 years ago. Mass effect was mediocre. Dragon age was dull. If you simped for that shit you may as well have thought assassin's creed was good too.

Hot damn i hate assasons creed. I only finished the first one and brotherhood.

Basically only tried the ones my sister bought, and even then the last one i touched was 3.

Thr multi-player is a different story. But outside of that is have no idea where all the hyper came from.

Mass Effect was carried by its romances and bromances. If you removed Tali and Garrus from the game, it would be a meh shooter with a few good antagonists and meandering plot that fails to stick most of its landings. Same with DA:O and Morrigan.

People will claim otherwise and can legitimately name a lot of things they like about the game, but it was those little factors that turned them from decent games into this "high standard" that Bioware fell from.

And I say that actually enjoying the ME trilogy, and Dragon Age 2 against all reasonability.

Well, I can't say she's wrong. Seeing what a foul pile of horse excrement it was, I sure wanted Veilguard to fail and for Bioware to crash and burn. Hell, I've been wanting Bioware to crash and burn ever since I played the demo for the abomination that was Dragon Age 2. There's a reason that this was the last product of theirs I played (though I guess the fact that ME3 was exclusive to EA's digital distribution service was the other).

But it doesn't matter what I wanted to see. Because the game's failure was all on Bioware. They made a shitty game for an audience that didn't exist and which defecated on all its predecessors (even the ones that sucked). And spent nearly ten. Fucking. Years producing the damn thing, scrapping versions in the process. It was dead on arrival.

lol - “the game was well received by critics” “the game was review bombed early on by online critics”

In other words “when we cut out the reviews we didn’t like, the game was well received.”

... no shit shirlock, of course people want to see bioware fall.

its like watching hatty hattington get paraded about by the hat. you can tell they arnt in control of themselves anymore and they are being paraded about in the hats own intrest.

they cant even self terminate, as time goes on you realise thats the only way to end the nightmare as much like hatty they arnt going back to normal.
