I personally thought it was a really strong game. I thought it was just BioWare being more BioWare.
BioWare is a “two movies, one screen” situation. A lot of their fans are tumblr degenerates who only care about gay ships and turning every character queer. For them, Veilguard was the best game yet. Based on sales, however, the majority of original BioWare fans were there for the gameplay and storytelling, both of which went massively downhill after Origins and Mass Effect 2. The company made their choice to cater to the activist crowd instead of the old school rpg fans, and rest is history.
If some empty headed VA claiming to be a longtime fan is somehow confused about why transgender Dragon Age flopped, then she never liked the series for the right reasons in the first place.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is painfully woke, especially when you get beyond act one, but it gets the gameplay and storytelling elements right enough for a lot of people. If the game dialed up the woke while everything else declined in quality, you’d see a lot of feminists “confused” as to why it failed - because they’re only looking for woke elements and then conflating them with success.

Japanese fujo girls are able to keep an entire fucking industry afloat on just their desire to see boys fuck. So much so that they have multiple sub industries based on preference.
These weak American homos can barely support the handful of single games trying to give them the same.

To this day I still remember sitting in a class at uni and the topic of Mass Effect 3 coming out spiraled off into what relationship options people would be getting and how Kaiden could be gay this time 🙄 to say the ones focusing on that were stereotypical for the context would be underselling things.

ME3 was still a good game right up until the ending where all of your prior decisions collapsed into a single end with different colors.
