I legit have no idea how they can even finish up the course. The part where you have to lift up a truck tire over 50m? Or when you need to go back to start with an injured teammate on your shoulders? I'm fairly sure they either have an easier course, or they cheated even more.

This Chilean team was just bad
They didn't "crush it", they came in well past the average time. They weren't a joke like this team, but they were still bad. Doesn't matter in a made up competition, does matter when they're the ones being sent to rescue you from a burning building.

It took them 13 minutes to complete, the crowd giving a pity cheer like it was a children's tee ball game and the announcer giving chiding lectures to the "armchair commentators" for making fun of them as though they were a group of random housewives and not trained law enforcement. Hell, there's even another women team from Abu Dhabi at the three and a half hour mark and they, while slower than the men, only finished a minute behind the average.
Women's sports are the same as the Special Olympics.
Did they even fucking train? I'm sure there are a lot of out of shape cops & dudes who might not perform well on this course but I think most of them would at least try to train weeks if not months before the event.
Even a child would know that you need a running start before these ziplines. Most would figure it out quickly after the first drop in the water.
Police work has increasingly become a bureaucratic job. Laptop class types have no idea how the real world works, but then they have been hidden from reality their whole lives.
Beat cops used to walk their beat and check in once in a while with the station through a dedicated telephone box. Now they patrol in their government-issued car and avoid interacting with anyone except other cops.
Maybe they should just recruit police from martial arts schools.

I am likely retarded, but does anyone in real life use ziplines for emergency situations (barring otherwise impassable terrain)? I know this video demonstrates incompetence in several other ways, but like most of the women there, I'm stuck on that part.

Although this is more of a technique problem rather than strength. Also some of the women on this team are on their absolute tippy toes just to reach the zipline. They'd have to practice more of a run and jump on technique.
In the full run I noticed two of them hit 0 out of 5 plates in the pistol shooting section. Some of them also exhibited that feminine tool use behavior where they act like they're holding a snake. Compared to the Abu Dhabi women's team where they operated their weapons correctly and cleared all plates.

I watched the Thailand female team. They did better, but still much slower than most male team ( I saw a few other teams, generally it was between 3:00 and 3:30, but the female team was 5 minutes, basically 50% slower ). That's without the penalties I believe, not sure about them and how/when they are counted.
You can see in the video how the second woman got stalled and because of her the whole team behind couldn´t make it, this doesn´t mean all of them were unprepared, just one of them, the first team member clearly makes it.
It wasn't just one person fucking up. They had NFI how to recover from that situation after becoming stuck. No ability to think on their feet. No team work. No one taking leadership to solve the problem. No urgency in a competitive situation.They literally just hang there waiting for what? A man to come and save them, probably. The video exactly fits stereotype of women and for good reason.
A group of competent men, even if they had fucked up the first time, would have quickly figured out how to fix the situation, because men's brains are very good at that kind of thinking. Women are terrible at those things I mentioned. Anyone who has ever interacted with a woman knows it.
