Did they even fucking train? I'm sure there are a lot of out of shape cops & dudes who might not perform well on this course but I think most of them would at least try to train weeks if not months before the event.
Even a child would know that you need a running start before these ziplines. Most would figure it out quickly after the first drop in the water.
This is what really strikes me with my martial arts knowledge, you see this all over the place these days with the police. I remember RL in one of the roughest areas in Bradford seeing a lone fat police woman struggling to get out of her vehicle as I drove past and holy shit it was a sorry sight. One time I was at a hospital there was a prisoner being escorted in cuffs by two tired police officers on their shift, one was a middle aged looking guy, the other was this tiny blonde millennial.
You also see police officers in protestor footage using this one 'technique' with a billy club involving whacking peoples shins very lightly and then backing off when it inevitably doesn't work and then they all run away when they get overwhelmed by numbers. It's embarrassing to watch, mind you we shouldn't be nitpicking their training like this because then they might fix it and become competent at stalking people over social media posts.
Police work has increasingly become a bureaucratic job. Laptop class types have no idea how the real world works, but then they have been hidden from reality their whole lives.
Beat cops used to walk their beat and check in once in a while with the station through a dedicated telephone box. Now they patrol in their government-issued car and avoid interacting with anyone except other cops.

Maybe they should just recruit police from martial arts schools.
Whoa there, don't you know the alt-right huwyte supremes hang out in gyms?
I think even in fairly normie martial arts circles they'd be laughed out the dojo.
