Because they ARE doing things with our money and if they're going to disappear they're certainly taking their damn time about it.
And they aren't only doing it to themselves or their own kids. They are making every effort to do it to your kids and then criminalize you when you try to stop them.
Most of them are even foregoing having kids of their own, just so they have more time and money to spend trying to take yours from you.
Why not argue the money argument though? Instead of trying to restrict what they can and can't do make it about not doing it with your money...

I have a big libertarian streak so I agree with live and let live. However the issue with the trans stuff is making people participate in their delusions, and the protection of minor children.

A few reasons:
We live in a society. It is beneficial to me, my family and my friends when that society is a healthy one.
I don’t believe children should be punished for the retardation of their parents, especially when that punishment entails permanent mutilation.
Most of these people don’t even really know what they’re doing. The average normie’s morality comes directly from popular culture, they’re little more than pieces on a chessboard. I would much rather they be brainwashed into having families and a sense of community rather than being brainwashed into mutilating their children and giving everything they have over to foreign invaders at the behest of a government that wants them dead.
If they'll do it to thier kids, they'll do it to mine. (Or, worse, they don't have any kids and they still do it to mine.)
There is nothing worse than a righteous activist trying thier hardest to ruin other people, and we are not to the point where I can explicitly fedpost without running foul of all the power systems they've built up over time.
Assisted suicide is another issue. I'm a big beleiver of personal responsibility, and feel that if you want to check out, well... have fun.
Giving this sort of authority and power to government and doctors is the worst outcome possible, and opens up a horde of unintended consequences, and that's exactly how lefties will go about to allow for such things.
The last thing I want it to have an actual fucking doctor view the phrase 'kill yourself' as a valid medical procedure.

No because my cousin COULD have become a screaming leftist because she was on that alternate style with a few mental issues. Luckily she liked me and I kept her grounded.
Just recently she became a mom and mellowed the hell out to the point she's one of the dependable parts of the family. The leftists attack male role models a lot because they keep kids grounded enough growing up that when they hit parenthood they can become responsible adults.

I found out about a year ago that a very close friend who I've known for 20+ years now deludes himself into thinking he's a woman.
I don't assign "blame" to my friend for doing this, nor do I "hate" or "fear" him. The people I blame and hate (and wish unspeakable things upon) are the medical "professionals" who when my friend came to them for help enabled his delusions instead of actually helping him at his time of need deal with whatever was going on in his life.
That is the cost of "normalization": that people not just my enemies but also my friends who need help aren't helped but instead encouraged to mutilate themselves.
You could possibly say that in the grand scheme of things it is better that my friend did what he has done: he hates and blasphemes God, so there is a part of me who thinks on that basis he has received that which he wishes and deserves. But I cannot bring myself to fully commit to thinking that; because he is (was? when I think about it I don't really even know anymore since he kinda acts as though his past self "died" when he started thinking he was a woman) my friend, and I wish him to have come to a better place than he has ended up.
Because I don't want to wake up one day in 10-30 years and be the "weirdo outcast" for simply thinking it unacceptable and abnormal for people (not just children) to want to cut off their genitals or kill themselves.
Maybe it's only people I don't like doing this (which it isn't, but let's say for the sake of argument it is), it's still contributing to the normalization of those behaviors and actions. And I don't simply don't want them normalized.
Beyond that, remember in 2021 when over half of Dems didn't want the "weirdo outcast" unvaccinated to have jobs or be able to buy food? I'd like to be able to buy food in the future, and the fewer things for which I'm labeled the "weirdo outcast", the better my chances of being able to do so.
