As they should, this is no different than when doctors were prescribing a treatment to pregnant women that later turned out to cause birth defects.

The clot shots cemented the idea that a lot of doctors are willing to completely ignore the Hippocratic Oath. Ignoring everything we learned about the shots, they encouraged the shots to pregnant women on day one! They knew these shots could kill the baby day 1 as they were upfront that their side effect was a fever!

I mean, Thalidomide pre-empted the jabs by thirty years...

That's the one I was referring to..

Nothing over the centuries has given a reason to trust doctors unquestionably.

It absolutely boggles me that this stuff just keeps happening.

The fact that we have to say "which time that the medical establishment recommended treatment that caused birth defects?" is insane to me.

To the point of the post, it's because of the huge academic/medical establishment where we allow blame to be collectivized (only looking at the systemic flaws) and we don't hold individuals personally responsible for their professional actions. It's nice that doctors are being sued here but even if the women succeed, I doubt we'll see anything remotely the same for COVID. The pharmacist at Walgreens was just doing their job. Your family doctor was just "following the science".

It's more that thalidomide predated the internet so it could be memory-holed. The internet has changed the information game.

Maybe for some sure, but even throughout the covid hysteria there were some of us specifically bringing up Thalidomide when addressing things:

https://kotakuinaction2.win/p/11SK2bYe2T/vaccines-can-have-side-effects-b/c/

It wasn't even the first example I used, albeit very likely to be far more known about, that went to Theralizumab which has catastrophic trials that stopped immediately because it was going to kill people within the first hour of the trial!

What's funny is there's evidence that thalidomide can be used for certain kinds of cancers. Of course, those prescribed it are rigorously screened, informed of the side effects, and women are required to be on multiple birth control methods.

blame laundering is a hell of a drug. When your job is to do what's right for your patient, but "what's right" is determined be a superior organization beyond question, doing exactly what they say becomes the moral thing to do in your mind.

Couple that with the fact that deviating from the superior organization almost guarantees an expensive and crippling lawsuit, and you have a complete lack of actual medical practice.

Anyone blaming a doctor for his addiction is a lying sack of shit. I don't care if he tells you taking 4 20 mg oxycodones a day for a month will grow your dick two inches.

Idk if it was ever addicts not wanting to take responsibility. I mean any more than that behavior that addicts usually display. It was govern.ents not wanting to be responsible for their citizen's (s' fuck you autocorrect) poor decisions. Which is understandable. But they're going about it wrong.

They sued the doctors? There has to be some negligence. Or there used to have to be when juries still had a functional IQ.

Both the "trans" people I've known were very clearly pressured into it by malevolent women, I would really love to see this kill off the trans-industrial-complex.

We shouldn't be hacking healthy body parts off for profit.

Someone will say "what about plastic surgery?".

Well plastic surgery isn't meant to cause what's operated on to become dysfunctional.

I would argue that plastic surgery to remove a mole, or a breast reduction to fix lifelong physical issue has a use.

Whereas plastic surgery that results in something like this should perhaps be banned one way or another as well:

War! What is it good for?

Huh, actually quite a lot of medical and military technology, and not just ones for killing someone else!

[Although that's probably where a lot of it originates]

Anyone who categorizes a procedure as "100% always bad, never do it, or 100% always good, no matter the circumstances, nothing between" is lying to themselves.

Barbers cut pieces off you all the time, your hair. By their logic, that must mean they must be fine with barbers cutting other chunks off you too.

Doctors giving known poisons to patients? What we call "Rat poison" is one of the most common things doctors will give patients as a blood thinner if that is called for.

A drug that'll turn your brain off? Anesthetic, I mean, pretty important to turn people's brains off during some of those surgeries.

Everything has context. Even chemical castration, the procedure that many "trans" people undergo nowadays, was at one point a known punishment for pedophelia and/or sexual assault to at least mitigate some of those potential damages in future, a (questionably, depending on your hard-on-crime levels) valid medical use of the tech.

I have a total legit medical procedure where I need to stick my dick inside women while they're unconscious for...some reason.

Totally legit guys.

Also, children. Ponies. Goats. Animals. If you say this is bad, no matter the circumstances, you are lying to yourself. (rolls eyes)

Anesthesia with in-vitro fertilization procedures on a naturapath kick not wanting to metallically insert a baster instead, could have validity. 99.999% isn't 100%.

Funny how every big detransitioner story and lawsuit seems to comes from women. Almost like the attention ran out, so now they are making a big stink to get more attention again.

Because years of boys getting groomed and mutilated was perfectly fine, we had to support it or laugh until they killed themselves as the two options from the Left and Right respectively. But girls being regretful for their actions? Well that's lawsuit central and needs to be covered everytime it happens!

Guess the TERFs will in fact win this schism.

Could also be that FTM with a thigh hot dog duct taped to their vag is more repairable than the MTF that hacked their dick off.

The latter group have to fully embrace their shitty choices.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 10 ▼
– Adamrises 10 points 2 years ago +10 / -0

None of that matters for a lawsuit. In fact, that would make MTFs have a stronger case as the damage was far more substantial and irreversible.

So its still back to "women special and can't be held responsible for their actions, men disposable and must accept them all."

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 7 ▼
– voidposter 7 points 2 years ago +7 / -0

Right, doesn't matter for a lawsuit, but I'm saying psychologically they may not want to bring one because that would be admitting they did something dumb and/or groomed.

I'm sure there's a fair but of "wahmen can't be held accountable" as well

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– Adamrises 4 points 2 years ago +4 / -0

That might hold water, excepting there are detransitioner MTFs too. They just don't get fawning newspieces and lawyers lining up, so they get no attention and just slink back into irrelevancy. Because these girls can't afford lawsuits on their own, they need these Lawyers working for them looking for their big name-establishing break.

Especially as, FTMs hack off their tits quicker more often and quicker than any of the other major surgeries. Which is often what these lawsuits hinge on specifically, the major irreparable surgery done on them that is totally ruining their life and future.

Not to say you are wrong entirely. I just think the "its the wahmenz" factor is far bigger than the "men deal with their consequences" one.

The 'women are wonderful' effect in action even when they claim not to be women. Heh.

FtM trannies are probably going to get the biggest helping of regret pie, as they were sold a lie from the start. They had in thier head that the male experience was the 1% apex, being the only sort of men they actually pay attention to.

Then reality came calling, and they got a heavy dose of what men typically experience in thier day to day lives. Which was completely at-odds with what they imagined it was going to be like, because those types of men were completely invisible to them(and likely still are). Hence the screeching. Because no matter what they may claim otherwise, they're still women.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Adamrises 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

I'll give them this benefit of the doubt. I don't think most considered the apex male as what they would achieve. They just hated being a woman so much they wanted out. Because they were so used to the privileges of it they just assumed everyone got those, while they focused entirely on the negative and wanted those gone.

Its no coincidence how fast they rush into getting their tits lopped off. Most probably developed early and got the uncomfortable stares and comments well before they were ready to deal with them (and nobody stepped up to help them because their moms were enablers and dad wasn't there). Heck, some probably got molested even and think ceasing to be a woman will escape that.

MTFs are porn obsessed losers who think they can be a slutty bimbo, but Pooners and even all the Enbies and Aces and every other tumblr creation all seem to just share the single minded hatred of being a woman. So they run to escape it by any means necessary.

This is going to be interesting.

Since they were around 14 when the Doctors and hospitals mutilated them it was their parents that signed off on it. They should be taking everything they owned as well. House, 401K, savings all the way down to their socks.

When we start getting to the cases where the state intervened and overrode the parents to have the children mutilated over their parent's objections things are going to get very interesting. The taxpayers are going to be on the hook.
