220 million dollar budget, female led cast, black wahman director, the most massive marketing campaign of a female led movie, it had all the signs of being the perfect female movie, so why didn’t women, who control 80% of disposable income in the US go? Oh wait, woman bitch about things they’ll never buy and you spurned the only people who cared about the IP years ago chasing after people who will never buy your product?
“If you want something done ask a woman”- Nikki Haley “just not the draft, any mechanical or electrical work, any hard labor, or really anything that doesn’t require being a whore” - what she meant
Meh our entire society is currently being held up by ~20% of the population, women and feminized men account for the rest. There’s a reason the competency crisis keeps growing, the reproducibility crisis keeps growing, the birth rate keeps shrinking, and the educational levels keep shrinking, and it all magically started around the time we had a “sexual revolution” and forced women into positions of authority without accountability.
Something definitely happened in the 60s. Sometimes people on my side say the country was lost before. But so many things happened: open Jewish dominance of academia, mass immigration, and putting women into the work force all at once.
The only marvel movie I saw marketed more recently was Wakanda fureva. I didn’t even know GOG 3 happened, not that I would care anyways, but nearly every college football game had a marvel commercial, ufc had it, anything even slightly Disney/espn/ Hulu had it pushed every 30 minutes
Comparing Iron Man 1 to anything else cracks me up. Marvel wasn't even owned by Disney at the time and you can tell. Even Iron Man 2 and on started getting really corporate-like with injecting glorified advertisements of OTHER movies all into the plot rather than just leaving it as a post-credits teaser.
They knew it was a turd, which makes me wonder why they went all out marketing it, if they had done a quiet release they could at least have blamed lack of marketing and tried to recoup the numbers streaming/ rental sales.
Corporate Sunk Cost Fallacy, they already budgeted for the movie and bought all advertising space before they realized it was a dud. Even when they realized it, there was no way to really stop it with such a large bureaucracy doing all sorts of things for it that it would have cost more to stop it.
Also, the people making the decisions were probably one of a) full-on ideologues that believe in the "black girl magic" cringe (they'd be saying "burgers?"), or b) corporate toadies who don't care as long as they get paid.
There's also a c) category for people who saw the turd for what it was but were too cowardly to say anything, but I'd assume most of those people left for other jobs or were fired long ago.
I think C was more like they were paid for their work, knew it was a turd, but also knew pointing it out was pointless. Disney works in very incestuous industries
And have the black female divershitty-hire director scream for the cameras the movie bombed because racist sexist Disney didn't even bother promoting her kickass awesome epic movie.
"people stopped caring about our movies because we stopped caring about producing a quality entertainment product and instead allowed activists to take over and to use our institution as a vehicle for virtue signaling and cultural subversion?"
It's really impressive how bad they keep getting. Though in terms of story and plot coherence I think they hit the bottom with loki, I quit watching after...end game? And even that was because I wanted to finish it in theaters. I wasn't impressed by much after the fact.
Two teasers. One where Kamala approaches Kate Bishop about forming a team (an Iron Man callback memberberry). The other about Monica ending up in the Fox Marvel universe where her mother is alive and is greeted by Kelsey Grammar's Beast.
The only interesting Young Avenger was Wiccan, and the only reason he was interesting (to me) was the spells gimmick.
Cause yeah. Some ancient tome with a grand spell will sound like "Glo-ee macka DOO MAH FAH" and yeah it's the great vanishing spell. But if you wrote it in English it probably WAS just "make the bad guys disappear, make the bad guys disappear."
I’ve seen on Facebook there are a lot of normies and shills. I know I shouldn’t have to bagged but I incurred the wrath of some by saying they were stupid for focusing on characters whose comics were cancelled multiple times for low sales, as well as not realizing who the core audience is for comics.
I’m sure fatigue is another reason but this is another example of making movies nobody asked for. Feige said he wanted more female heroes than males and he has his wish. Still, more guys watch because comic books are read by more men.
People swallowed cape shit for 10+ years before the gravy train crashed into feminism. Spider-Man NWH made almost two billion dollars less than two years ago. How? By deliberately catering to the fans. Interest in the genre didn’t crater to nothing in that short span. People are just tired of nonstop subversion and girl bosses.
If this was old school Disney, they would have seen this coming. Carl Manvers’ and Ms. Ham-Hand’s comic runs never sold well. Hell, they rebooted Manvers like 7 times in a year to get any popularity up and all it did was put the comic book stores further in debt!
Captain Marvel 1 was the first movie that convinced me they buy out their own showings to prop up box office numbers. No one I know saw that movie in the theater, and these are people who saw black panther 2.
More accurately, nobody wants to say they did imo. A lot of people did because it was in between infinity war and endgame, and so they thought it'd be decent.
They were wrong.
Seeing black panther means you support blacks, which is still something lefties need to virtue signal about.
Yeah most of the "Phase 1" shows ended up being non-canon because it seemed like the movie writers just didn't want to bother even looking if their script would invalidate the TV show's lore.
So they were all canon, until they weren't. Which is a great example of how even from the start the MCU didn't give a shit about its fans.
I mean, they took their most controversial and unliked actress and character and then added an annoying teenager and a sheboon to her, two other character types people absolutely hate.
It is by far the biggest "we will make you like the slop!" gamble possible, and they lost.

I'm really shocked. I thought Black Girl Magic would save them in the end.
Still can't believe that was an actual line and not a 4chan prank edit.
Maby she can steal stuff and include those in the BO numbers.
The real black girl magic was the diversity hire director that got paid a shit load of money no matter how badly this movie did.
Bet she lives next to the BLM leaders in majority white neighborhoods.
You mean women don't actually mean what they say?
“If you want something done ask a woman”- Nikki Haley “just not the draft, any mechanical or electrical work, any hard labor, or really anything that doesn’t require being a whore” - what she meant
Should apply that to at least politicians in general if not people in general. Look at what they do.

That chickenhawk annoys me so much
Besides the activists in showbusiness, no one wants movies like this.
They say what they think their social group and the group their screen insists exists wants, and then they do whatever they actually want, lol.
And Iron Man 1 was a make-or-break gamble at the time. Also for Downey, who was attempting to revive himself.
Incels, you are not the target demographic for this movie. STFU already!
Also, give us your money or you are Nazi adjacent rape apologist misogynists.
84% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes, LOL!
Username on point.
Totally organic and not review boosted at all!
Trust me bro!
We need one of those "how it started... how it's going" meme templates with the changing estimates $70m... $60m... $45m.
They knew it was a turd, which makes me wonder why they went all out marketing it, if they had done a quiet release they could at least have blamed lack of marketing and tried to recoup the numbers streaming/ rental sales.

Doesn’t help that movie making is naturally 50% money laundering by itself.
I've often wondered what the heck they were Laundering with budgets and numbers that big. Its laundering, but at a scale that sort of scares me.
Escobar was pulling $22B per year at peak. Drug money is way bigger than you might expect.
Get Shorty!

"movies?"
Everything I've heard about this movie is absolutely cringe worthy.
It's going to tank, because it's a bunch of shit characters nobody likes doing shit nobody cares about.
The sooner this all dies, the better.
Whatever you've heard, it's worse.
It's really impressive how bad they keep getting. Though in terms of story and plot coherence I think they hit the bottom with loki, I quit watching after...end game? And even that was because I wanted to finish it in theaters. I wasn't impressed by much after the fact.
Disney not in a financial position to buy out all the tickets in an empty showing?
They didn’t have enough blackness to have colleges and politicians buy out all the movie theaters like black panther
Remember when the post-credit scenes teased actual interesting upcoming movies?
Now, the teaser is for Young Avengers. lol. They are so fucked.
Young Avengers assemble!
Temu Ironman girl!
Dollar store Hawkeye girl!
Brown girl from Jersey!
Nepotism Ant Man girl!
How are you not excited for these amazing characters?
I heard it was xmen related. But I didn't watch it, because it's ass cancer.
Two teasers. One where Kamala approaches Kate Bishop about forming a team (an Iron Man callback memberberry). The other about Monica ending up in the Fox Marvel universe where her mother is alive and is greeted by Kelsey Grammar's Beast.

The animated Next Avengers movie was actually pretty decent.
But this, I have no confidence.
I’ve seen on Facebook there are a lot of normies and shills. I know I shouldn’t have to bagged but I incurred the wrath of some by saying they were stupid for focusing on characters whose comics were cancelled multiple times for low sales, as well as not realizing who the core audience is for comics.

they blame fatigue, not woke.
People swallowed cape shit for 10+ years before the gravy train crashed into feminism. Spider-Man NWH made almost two billion dollars less than two years ago. How? Nigger fatigue then.

Well I'm relieved.
Captain Marvel 1 was the first movie that convinced me they buy out their own showings to prop up box office numbers. No one I know saw that movie in the theater, and these are people who saw black panther 2.
A lot of film is tax evasion. Fake revenue works as well for laundering money/tax evasion.
More accurately, nobody wants to say they did imo. A lot of people did because it was in between infinity war and endgame, and so they thought it'd be decent.
They were wrong.
Seeing black panther means you support blacks, which is still something lefties need to virtue signal about.
There's really 33 of those damn things? 33?
$46 million is how much the Paul Feig Ghostbuster flop took in for its first weekend, too.
Yeah but that was before the recent inflation spike so the 46 mil is worth way less now
For sure, this is a worse release than even the total bomb Ghostbusters on several levels. Rock bottom!
33rd installment? Does each season of the TV shows count as a separate installment?
Aren't some of those earlier shows not part of the MCU? Still, it's a crazy amount of stuff, and most of it sucks.
Well goddamn...
And yet people would still watch a good superhero movie, if it was bereft of the typical woke tropes and girlbosses.
I mean, they took their most controversial and unliked actress and character and then added an annoying teenager and a sheboon to her, two other character types people absolutely hate.
It is by far the biggest "we will make you like the slop!" gamble possible, and they lost.
