If you could take over an entertainment company or an IP and do something petty/out of spite like they have done (for example, 2016 Ghostbusters which was a middle finger to real fans or Disney throwing out the EU only to bastardize it). I would do the following:
Make the Rey "Skywalker" movie and have Rey give up on everything and become a grumpy hermit just to see the critics/shills twist themselves into knots explaining why that was brilliant for Luke but sexist for Rey.
Hire someone to actually adapt Wheel of Time and cast people who look like they are described in the book so I could sit back and laugh at the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Take over a company that makes romance novels or romance movies and have all the male love interests be balding, overweight, middle aged men who are unemployed. When there is backlash I'll just lecture the women about body positivity and unrealistic expectations.
Buy the Star Wars IP for tree-fiddy and a Subway coupon, and then release Episode VII. Beginning scene is scenes from the Disney attempt at a sequel, and then you cut to Luke waking up in a cold sweat next to an older redhead. The rest of the sequel would be the Thrawn trilogy, with Thrawn being accurate to the books. Off years would feature installations of the X-Wing series of movies and Heir to the Empire.
That would be one of those lopsided movies. The fans would love it and critics would hate it. My kind of movie.
You want to know what is the fun part? For all of them pushing this sort of stuff, my fiancé just recently discovered Thrawn through second-hand Ahsoka stuff. She like him enough to look up more stuff, and then discovered the Original Thrawn. And now that has become her autistic obsession because she likes the OG more than Disney Thrawn.

If I had absolute dictatorial powers with no one able to gainsay my will on threat of being flayed alive, and I was tasked with going full scorched earth on the clusterfuck that is the Disney Triology, I'd have two options;
One, do the Thrawn trilogy, only with the main characters being the OG Trilogy's proteges. The MC would be one of Luke Skywalker's hand-picked student, you'd have a scrappy young smuggler taking on the Han roll, and the older, more seasoned diplomat taking over Leia's typical roll. The bold, brash new generation taking the risks while all the OGs get the heavy lifting done.
Thrawn would still be Thrawn, though.
I'd also do a blatant Mara Jade expy for the Jedi MC to fight against(and pair up with), only to have an explicit scene in the final movie showing both Luke and Mara as a couple. Just to mess with the fans.
Second option, do the Legacy comic series with Cade as the main character, keeping his actual lineage as a big fucking deal and a late second movie reveal. Legacy has some low moments, but I love how they went all balls to wall with the various crazy potentials the Star Wars universe has, from the Sith to the Imperial Remnants and all that good stuff.
The hardest part about doing Legacy would be finding someone to play Cade, though. That, and all the blatant sex appeal I could squeeze in, given some of the characters. I'm not much for the Twi'leks, but I'll take a couple of Zeltron, thank you and yes please.

Not only is it one of their most beloved franchises, but it lends itself to reboots and visiting past events and 'problematic people from history' the best. If I were feeling vindictive this would be the franchise I'd go for.

It depends, I think japanese developers and japanese fanbases tend to ignore them most of the time since they're are seem mostly as a bunch of hysterical harpies who derail every kind of legitimate conversation about the series they're fans of. Western fanbases tend to be more forgiving and since most of them are girls there's some people who use the sexist card to defend their actions, all in all i think the main difference of the western fujo is that she knows how to use idpol to her advantage better since none of the "male" fans would want to look "homophobic"

Eastern devs usually don't need to pander to them, because they'll do it themselves: See all the Deku x King Explosion Murder shipping in MHA, in example. There's a reason they're called fujoshits. Ignore their delusional shipping, and move on.

In Fire Emblem 7, in the desert mission, one of the twin warrior bosses is a man called "Jasmine", who acts rather effeminate. It always felt nice to murder him, for some reason. I'm sure there are multiple other examples we could come up with.

Fire Emblem has a recurring theme of two highly questionable gay incest brothers being throwaway villains. Like Anna, they seem to transcend space and time, and exist in multiple realities at once. They're reliably two berserkers or warriors, make creepy comments about each-other throughout their stage, and often have some kind of weird pick-up line for the protagonist if the MC is the one to kill them.
For our younger gamer crowd, they might be most memorable (in that they weren't like a stage 3 random minor boss) in FE: Awakening, as the DLC bosses invading the swimsuit competition level that was distributed for free for a while.

It's kind of hard to say, gay characters in FE are nothing new, some old games (like SNES-era old) had characters that are gay but they're never the annoyingly flamboyant, in-your-face kind of gay.
The problem is the fanbase itself, since the game allows you to play "matchmaker" with characters other than the MC it becomes a nesting ground for the worst kind of internet dwellers, like fujos, furries, tumblrites and other kinds of bottom-feeders, who fight over whose "ship" is the best and which character is a "gay icon" or any other crap.
If I had to recommend a "safe" FE I think Sacred Stones for the GBA would be a good start, it's neither too old nor too new but enough fo you to feel the hang of it, and of course, no "surprise" characters.
Awakening, ironically, is also technically "safe", the only character who raises an eyebrow is the goth mage girl who simps for your character regardless of gender, but she can onle be romanced by the male MC anyway so there's that.
I've never played the GC ones but I would stay away from it, the discourse of these games is tainted by fujos who are convinced that the MC is gay just because he never hooks up with anyone.
There's also the older ones, these tend to be a little bit harder but you can try them if you want.

Anything pre-Awakening is safe, though suffers from various forms of "fuck you" difficulties. The GBA games are generally considered the best jump in points.
Fates is the only one that is outright advised to be avoided, not just because the translation is bad and censored but its also just a straight up bad game that shows how little IS understands their own series. All the other controversial titles have redeeming elements enough to still be worth playing, except Fates.
Seconding the Game Boy Advance Fire Emblems, especially FE7/Blazing Blade (or just "Fire Emblem" in the States).
You also get to experience some pretty crunchy critical-hit animations, whose visceralness has never been replicated in the 3D games. Seriously, a crappy cut-in and cringe quip doesn't even touch a Swordsmaster splitting into five speed-clones and slicing the enemy into bits.

I'd probably do more of the second point you mentioned just for my own entertainment, like I'd want to take over Bethesda and get some good writers back in, have the next elder scolls enable me to ketbstomp high elves and take over if I want to (1 complaint I had of Skyrim) and the next Fallout I'd refine the settlement system, bring back fractions from NV along with weapon degradation and have the protagonist instead of being related to the vaults, an offspring of an East Coast Enclave Remnant so you'll gain access to one of their bunkers as a main base.
Yea that civil war quest had a huge loose end. With all the remasters I’m surprised they didn’t add a DLC to handle the Thalmor and have a moot. If I’m being charitable then I’ll say that in ES6 the Thalmor come into play somehow. There is a mod that restores the civil war to what it was supposed to be. Very tough. I lost but had a blast

I would want to 'cannonise' a lot of the mods for Fallout 4 into offical updates like fixing the Castle, using the Minutemen to take out Nuka world, the gunner HQ and Quincy along with making the ending where you can have 3 fractions alive offical.
I'd just settle for them not disabling trophies when you use mods as it's essentially saying you're not playing the correctly using them.

I just started the audio books of the series and I think it could make a great RPG (or several.) It already has several hints about alternate ways things could have turned out, so you could even have several paths/endings.

You monster. Platinum games combat with yoko taro story and soundtrack is peak gaming. Platinum without story direction gets you things like vanquish, great game but nonsense D tier 80s film excuse for a plot. They're the perfect combo.
Automata was so boring to play that I had to force myself to finish it for the story. Its barely better than Drakengard, a game whose greatest meme is the combat is meant to drive you insane with how "bad" it is.
The only reason it gets half the praise it does is because of the 2Butt and because its baby's first Taro game for most of its fans, so they rate it higher than anything out of ignorance. Despite it being one of his weakest outings by far, likely entirely because he lost all his limits that gave him his creativity in the first place.
