Imagine you’re running a company that is trying to put mankind on fucking Mars, and the US government says “you have to give more jobs to brown people from shithole countries”. It’s like a microcosm for the trillions of dollars we’ve flushed down the toilet trying to prop up black America.

It's literally a federal crime for them to hire non-citizens

SpaceX builds intercontinental ballistic missiles. Everyone responsible for this lawsuit should be executed for treason.

The DOJ lawsuit seeks to win “fair consideration and back pay for asylees and refugees who were deterred or denied employment at SpaceX due to the alleged discrimination,” as well as civil penalties and policy changes from the company.

Once again proving that this so called "Global American Empire" is a foreign occupation of America.

The sooner Mars is colonized, the sooner the Martian Revolutionary War can take place.

And then President Clark, who took office after narrowly avoiding being on the former president's ship that exploded, declares martial law, and begins bombing all the colonies that made a move for independence.

So yeah, you fellas will have to build a solar farm. Its totally a solar farm and not a device built to fire a gamma ray burst capable of causing a mass extinction event at earth. Trust me, solar farms GOOD.

It takes 3 months to 2 years to get an army out there. Just cut the communications with Earth, which you have a 4 to 20 minute window to do so, then all you have to deal with are the local forces.

This has to be the most corrupt AND retarded official action I've seen from the DOJ so far. It's corruptarded. My first assumption was that the story must be slanted and not presenting the government's case accurately. It's amazing that this is the best the DOJ could come up with if they wanted to "punish" Musk over Twitter. Maybe they hope supporting "muh refugees" will score political points with Dem voters?

Random thoughts...

  • How the hell would "back pay" make any sense? For what? They have no offer, no contract, were never assigned work, and did no work!

  • Why does the DOJ even represent "asylees and refugees"? Why can't those people sue SpaceX themselves? When did this become the federal government's responsibility? I don't necessarily agree with it, but there's a "civil rights" principle that the federal government can sue to protect someone's constitutional rights under the law. This was filed by the "civil rights division" but I don't think it's actually an issue of rights (how?), and THEY AREN'T AMERICANS. Why do our tax dollars go to support lawsuits by foreigners who are competing with Americans?

  • Is there actually a law that says American companies have to hire non-Americans? Is it isolated to certain industries? Why would the United States have such a law? Something like that on the books completely undermines any politician promising "America First" to American workers. I can't be bothered reading the 1972 EEO Act but if that's what allows the government to do this then the whole thing needs to be scrapped. I'd support any presidential candidate calling for it's repeal.

  • They said SpaceX “wrongly claimed” that export control laws limited its hiring to U.S. citizens. Ok, so if that is the case is SpaceX the ONLY company doing that? Are the others going to be sued? If other companies hire non-citizens, why couldn't these non-citizens apply at those companies?

  • I'd appreciate the troll if Elon created a division just for non-citizens to twiddle their thumbs far away from rocket engines - and made it very clear that despite getting paid, they are all worthless parasites and were only hired to meet legal requirements.

But I hope this is thrown out of court. In non-clown world it would be, but it also wouldn't have been filed in the first place.

Retaliations against Musk for limiting Deep State / Democrat's ability to censor people, and exposing they were doing it.

This is so nonsensical it's on par with some SJW diversity-hire at a bank shutting-down N. Farage's account for opposing mass-migration and his campaing for Brexit.

Listen you can have rockets that work and no diversity since it's a meritocracy or diversity and you need to play air raid sirens everytime they try to launch. Pick one.

I can see Space X's point here: federal law restricts them from releasing certain information and technology to certain countries. If you hire an employee from that country and grant them access to those items, it's tantamount to releasing that information to the restricted foreign country.

If the answer is that us labor law overrules the export control law, then so be it, but I don't see this as a case of illegal discrimination so much as misunderstanding how multiple laws interact with each other.

I agree.

SpaceX should be doing everything in their power to launch refugees and asylum seekers into space.

The fact that it's illegal means it's retardedly obvious that this is political. There's another question it raises though. How many, if any, of these economic opportunists and welfare cases are even remotely qualified for this kind of work? Last I checked rocket science wasn't bolstered by incest.

Here we see the government overstepping it's bounds to determine who a private company can hire. They'll concede defeat on this, they'll have to.

Otherwise SpaceX will have the legal precedent that companies can hire whomever they want, thus destroying the exact hiring practice they're mad about.

Elon needs to go big on Seasteads and ocean based launch platforms.

The current US Government is a wholly owned subsidiary of China and Xi the Pooh is telling his minions to subvert, infiltrate and destroy SpaceX.

Yeah, this is definitely a 'Fucking WHAT' moment.

Worse, there's probably people in the DoJ who think this is a perfectly sensible thing to be up in arms about.

I'd say that the DoD will have a quiet moment with the DoJ to shut this shit down quickly, but I suppose it depends on how badly the DoD has drunk the DIE kool-aid.

If Trump somehow wins, he's going to have to fire 85-95% of the government including senior military officials. The rot is so bad even the government's librarians are part of the conspiracy against him.

I dunno what sector you're working in but the realm of IT is all contracting work and unions straight up are not a thing. Your job is treating you wrong? Fuck it. Leave and get a new one and a 20-40% pay bump.

The politics in this town are fucked but unions are not a root cause here.

We have field grade officers who have taken official pictures in fetish gear, our surgeon general went to the inauguration installation dressed as Little Bo Peep, and one of the Joint Chiefs thinks CHYNA NUMBA WAHN.

The DoD chugged the FlavorAid, smiled, and asked for seconds.

The head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff openly, publicly sided with seditious communists to the point the White House had to be defended against rioters by improvised teams of Secret Service agents, US Marshals, and Bureau of Prisons guards and kept his job.
