"teen takeover" probably doesn't get as many panties in a bunch as "chimpout".

Love the shot with the speaker in a cage and a security cam right next to it. Society is going down the shitter.

Meanwhile, non-humans tend to love classical music. Even crocodile brains light right up when they hear beautiful music.

Beautiful music chasing off demons, just like in some old myth.

I was a convenience store clerk in the late 90s, and I can tell you from experience that Frank Sinatra works, too.

The week he died, the local "public" radio station played only his music nonstop, and the only people that felt comfortable hanging around my store were oldies and the cultured.

Could make use during riots too. Blast some Bach or Buxtehude organ pieces, or Beethoven and Brahms symphonies to freak them out. Or maybe some Handel and Haydn choral oratorios.

Would be funny watching the "youffs" scatter hearing a Brandenburg concerto, pieces of Messiah and The Creation, or even Water Music 🎻📯

I prefer they use classical but I think they hate death metal also. I will sacrifice my ears to watch them flee from polka.

Could combine the two, play them some neoclassical metal or speedier power metal \m/

Some Yngwie, or Micheal Romeo guitar solos could work wonders.

Don't let your memes stay dreams, man. Blast Wagner while telling the riot cops today is Casual Violence Friday.

That kind of music might make rioting feel more exciting.

No Wagner or Tchaikovsky?

I was going for alliteration when picking composers, but I think pretty much any classical music with brooding sounds or dense melodies would work. Wagner definitely could scare the shit out of them.

Looking forward to the next news story.

"Stores that feature classical music are racist and sexist by elevating the works of white men. HR bill 42069 will address this by making the public broadcast of music illegal with a noted exception for bass-centric rap songs featuring lyrics about killing cops and raping bitches."

I’m convinced the reason lefties are so freaked over AI is that it reveals how their own statements and rhetoric are basically just variations following from meme-spread patterns they recognize.

But not everyone is impressed with the scheme. One resident told the Huffington Post: 'What a daft idea - all that will do is send them elsewhere. 'These people need practical help.'

"Okay, so what's your solution?" "I want to do nothing but ignore the problem and complain about people who draw attention to it"

Several decades of welfare and preferential treatment hasn't helped them, if anything it's only made it worse as they have no worthwhile standards to live up to. Not only are they failing to elevate themselves, they're dragging everyone else down with them. The practical solution at this point is to indeed send them elsewhere.

My mom tried to get me into classical at a young age but unfortunately I didn’t develop a love for it until my early 20s. Once I started listening to it I was surprised at how much Looney Tunes exposed me to classical as a kid

You can find classical music in the most random places at times. The first Battle Arena Toshinden had a lot of up beat tracks for the various levels fights would take place on which is understandable for a beat em up game.

An interesting idea, especially if it works. I'm sure that store isn't going to like the retaliation of being told they can't just stand around outside anymore.

Also what's with the door in the video? It closes, stops, and then opens back up again. I thought it was an edit, but it does that exact same thing again later in the video.

The sensor that prevents the door from squishing people needs adjustment or replacement. The people that know this were let go for a bunch of diversity hires.

I believe they've been doing this at a bus station that I would pass by when going to a ballgame. It used to have homeless/addicts loiter or sleep just outside the front side. Not so much now.

Kind of an aside, but for an Apple Music users, there is an "Apple Music Classical" app now. Inside the app there are a series of kind of podcast format selections called "The Story of Classical."

It includes episodes on the Baroque Era, the Romantic Era, etc. The narrator gives some history, hits on some of the major composers, pieces, and themes, and adds some flavor.

I've been working my way through them, and I've really enjoyed all of them. Highly recommend. Probably about 9-10 hours of content.

I don't know a ton about classical, and I've found them really fun to listen to. I haven't finished all of them yet, but I would highly recommend.

After the podcast recommend it AND the movies post here recommended it, I now have the movie "Amadeus" on my watch list too.
