So we're never getting the trannifesto then huh. Wonder what distraction they'll try to pull when the economy starts going critical now that they've used this one

There are a few other open grand jury investigations against Trump to pull from.

It would've implicated trannies more than anyone.

Looks like they finally did it, which makes me think they put more pressure on the AG to 'DO IT NOW!' because from what I've been hearing, the professional class of lawyers, the ones that do the work and win the cases that dropped this one because they said it's a dud, they've been rebelling behind close doors because this all BS making them look bad.

So the only question is, by how much is Trump going to get a boost in support before 2024 because of this?

That and I wonder if Trump baited Bragg into moving forward with the indictment. His Truth post does come off as egging the DA on.

This is Q level chicanery. No matter what comes from the case, nothing helps Trump. He's just going to burn money in yet another legal fight against an opponent with unlimited funds.

"Oh, look, the government is corrupt!"

Dennis_Nedry_Meme.jpg

The left literally does not care about a corrupt government throwing around violence to their political opponents. Just like the indictments aren't going to turn any Trump supporters away from him.

Anyone with a brain that might figure out that if Trump really was defeated in a fair election this would be completely unnecessary, but those people haven't been voting Dem for almost 7 years now.

This is Q level chicanery.

Not really. That would be if he claimed the whole thing is 8-dimensional chess and Trump has a big Xanatos Gambit planned, or if they said the AG is wearing an ankle monitor and "This entire charade has been choreographed and mapped out for the last three years. Enjoy the show. ;)"

The fact that Trump would bait someone to act if he think it's in his interest isn't far out of reality. Though personally I think it was the opposite, and his statement was to interrupt the AG's plan and bring media attention. It worked for a few days anyway.

They previously decided against charging this as a standalone crime because they didn't think it would hold up without a stronger charge to carry it. In other words this is one of those charges that they tack on after they've already charged something that's worth their time and energy. It's obvious that Bragg reversed the decision to appease progressives who are more interested in charging Trump with anything they can than worrying about how strong the case is. They just want to see Trump get arrested. Any conviction or punishment would just be icing on the cake for them. Bragg is going to have a hell of a time making the legal and factual case that Trump was covering up another crime, and he has to do that to have any hope of not being barred by the statute of limitations.

They investigated the man for 6 years. Wiretap, spied on the campaign, and the best they could get a misdemeanor that would be a small fine at best if they actually push the case through every sleazebag prosecutor and judge in the country.

The foot they are shooting is already a bloody stump, and they're fucking reloading the shotgun. God damn.

They were just holding this back until they needed it, which turned out to be after a trans shooter killed a bunch of Christians and left a manifesto almost certainly blaming its 'transition'.

That's ok because fighting against someone who was hurt would be unfair to them so rightists wont do anything about it.

Mr. Cohen has said that Mr. Trump directed him to buy Ms. Daniels’s silence...

Con-sensually fucking some lady is not a crime.

If she needed to be paid to keep it private or else, then this should be an extortion case.

Extorting a public official out of public funds, no less. Pretty sure that is a big no-no.

Yeah, lefty friends are cheering for this and think they've won a huge thing. They don't understand exactly how evil they look because Trump is Evil in their books.

I seriously wonder what happens next.

I guess the government has completely given up on even pretending they're governing with consent and decided to go all in on governing like forum moderators.

Trump 100% wanted to get indicted and the Democrats 100% want him to be the nominee.

Trump is going to fundraise 10s of millions off of this and end up either walking since the case is shit, or with some joke "punishment".

Yes, a lot of libtard new yorkers would find him guilty of anything and rug burn their genitalia in the process fapping so hard dreaming of Le Oreange Mań going to jail, but you only need 1 non-libtard on the jury and you get a hung jury.

Well Joe Biden just won the 2024 election. The Republican base will rally around Trump, and he'll breeze to a primary victory. (This is what the Democrats want.) Then Trump will get blown out in the general because this farce of a criminal proceeding will change no minds among independents, never-Trumper Republicans, and swayable Democrats.

Where is the actual indictment?

Literally the first sentence of the article, Stevie Wonder.

The article said "according to four people with knowledge of the matter"

It looked originally like anonymous sources but I guess it is actually real after seeing other reports come in.

I admit I was wrong on this take.
