Well Joe Biden just won the 2024 election. The Republican base will rally around Trump, and he'll breeze to a primary victory. (This is what the Democrats want.) Then Trump will get blown out in the general because this farce of a criminal proceeding will change no minds among independents, never-Trumper Republicans, and swayable Democrats.
