As helpful as she might've been on some issues, remember that she is an anti-2A, WEF globalist.

  1. She is also horrible on immigration. She may have left the "Democrat" party but she is still in the Uni-party as far as I am concerned.

In other words: far better than any alternative coming out of Hawaii. You don't have to like her in the abstract. You only have to understand how much better she is than other Democrats.

The Right wins when we pull the country to the Right, just as the Left has successfully pulled the country to the Left these past 10 years.

We accomplish this by promoting moderate Democrats, convincing them to switch sides, and dilute Democrat power by shifting the middle of the country to the Right, while also ensuring that in our own bases of power of solid safe red districts, we make damn sure to keep the RINOs out and keep solid conservatives so that the Right still controls a solid majority of the Rs.

the Left has successfully pulled the country to the Left these past 10 years

Fake news, the marxists have not "successfully pulled the country". Instead by controlling the institutions they created a situation where opposing them became a collective action problem and just letting them d do whatever they want was easier for most normal people.

The issue is a vegan kid, sympathetic mom, and weak dad problem. The kid refuses to eat. The mom gives in and make vegan food for the whole family because its easier. The dad is too much of a pussy to be the "bad guy" an impose sanity. He needs to use his authority to tell the mom and say "No, let her go hungry until she is willing to eat human food again." (except that doesn't work because men have systematically been stripped of any parental authority through the legal system)

Their strategy of taking institutional control through deception, infiltration, and subversion worked. Their use of kakistocracy promotion to ensure absolute loyalty is what was successful.

Maybe 6 big cities might be full of believers, enclaves in metropolitan and university-dependent municipalities, and a hoard of deluded white women who don't have a individual personality, they are just sensory organs attached to a social media brain.

They aren't the real America but they are the ones who write the news, hand out degrees, control licenses and certifications, and have government jobs.

There is no gradually moving the regime to the right. It's good that dissident ideas are getting picked up, but that is because they are so undeniable that the managers need to get out in-front to safely redirect them. True change will happen all at once or not at all, and it certainly won't be done by conservatives, who exist purely to conserve leftist victories.

The two-party system we have causes people in the center to alternate between parties. That's why in the midterms (sans cheating) the opposing party gains seats, because only far extremists want full control by their party. The more share of the vote a party gets the more people want to reign them in. So it hovers around 1/2 and 1/2.

Adding moderate candidates doesn't shift anything toward your side it just dilutes your party. You don't start with 50% of the vote as Republican, add 10% moderates and get 60% of the vote. Instead you get 50% of the vote with 5/6ths Republican and 1/6th moderate.

If you want to win in the near term you make a big tent, but if you want to move the country ideologically you need to double down. Instead of celebrating Tulsi Gabbard demand that she get on board the train with 2A, merit, and all the other right ideas.

The system is fake and gay, regardless of the number of parties. Politicians are not chosen by the people to implement policy on behalf of the voters. Politicians are selected for their ability to get themselves elected, then use their office to manufacture the consent of the electorate for policies dictated to the elected officials by the party and their interest groups.

And in the meantime while you are making these theoretical moves, laws are being passed and massive changes are being put into motion. Things that take considerable more force to get rid of compared to being put in. Even more so, it sets precedent and foundation for far worse things to be passed without any chance of interference.

A fleet of moderate Dems is still going to help the extreme Dems pass basic Dem bills.

the goal of politics is to get your own policies passed and deny those of the Left.

replacing solid left wingers with moderate Ds assists this goal.

replacing moderate Ds with moderate Rs assists this goal.

replacing moderate Rs with solid right wingers assists this goal.

I don't know why this is so difficult for the people in this sub to understand or accept. I know you all want to just magically end up with a supermajority that reflects your precise policy preferences, but that's not how politics works in a democracy.

Its the same magic where these "moderates" appear and don't end up completely compromised by their time in politics and don't end up doing irreparable damage while you wait for that "replacement" to kick in. A single gun control law passing that most "sensible and moderate" Dems approve of would still set us back possibly indefinitely, same with plenty of other non-extremist only positions of the Left.

Your point isn't hard to understand. Its just based on a lot of hopes and dreams of the best possible outcomes to function.

I find mentioning her is very useful for manipulating the normies I unfortunately I have to deal with on a nearly daily basis.

I'm happy to accept her splintering the left, but I'll never personally vote for her.

Despite disagreeing with her on a lot of issues, she was one of the last reasonable Democrats left. She didn't call her opponents evil, didn't claim the state owned your kids, didn't claim they should stuff the supreme Court.

That she's gone shows if you're not voting R down the ticket in November, you're voting for your own destruction. There's no one left as a voice of reason on the Democrat side.

I already know of her positions, doesn't change the fact she was still the most reasonable Democrat. She didn't call for her opponents to die in a ditch. Do I want her policies used, no. If she moved next door, would I have to worry about her trying to maim my kids or burn my house down, no.

The difference between Gabbard and the average Democrat is that I could actually see myself sitting down with Tulsi and discussing our disagreements without her accusing me of every moral defect in the book, and get her to compromise in meaningful ways if we needed to get something done.

But she's still got some pretty dumb positions.

Good. She should be mocked by both sides. At best, she is a lesser of two evils candidate. At worst, she is an intentional plant to get the right-wing populists to vote for the more moderate candidate with the mistaken belief that it will make them more socially acceptable.
