I take a less charitable view.

This is a predator, donning camouflage, waiting for the right moment to strike.

So that one guy has read 1984 also and doesn't want to live that? What does it think it's protesting in favor of?

He doesn't want to live life as Winston.

He thinks the way this is going to turn out, he gets to be O'Brien, and he's all in favour of that.

Even more egregious is that Farenheit 451 is on that list.

Its author explicitly condemns everything that these "protestors" stand for in that book.

hunger games

Oh my fucking god, this shit book. I read it because I was naive and interested a couple years ago. I could not get past the middle point, probably the only book I dropped and I read fucking Eragon(although that was 20 years ago).

Hunger games is so overrated and they don't even see that they and their dear leaders are turning into that shit, just look at how they dress and you will see similarities.

I enjoyed Hunger Games. It's not like it's the Lord of the Rings or anything, but it's a story about the evils of Big Governments and the power of the individual. There are worse things for kids to be reading!

At its core, the book series is practically AnCap in its criticism of government generally and centralized government in particular. At multiple points in the series, the dreamed of goal was to live off the grid far away from any sort of government.

I am still upset that the ending did not leave the protagonist as a broken shell of a person. The whole thing needed to simply end a few pages sooner and it would have been so much more..."meaningful" and "impactful" aren't quite the right words for it, but I can't think of the right wording.

The political insights about media-run-states in Hunger Games is pretty interesting, although I've only seen political analyses of it and never saw the movies or read the books. I doubt this guy is capable of understanding anything in any of those books he claims to have read.

Polticial analyses might be a bit more interesting, I'll give you that. I just found the book to be very dry overall. I've read a lot better books since and it doesn't even matter the age demographic of the book. IMHO a good book is a good book no matter the age demographic(see LOTR).

I've read YA novels before and since, stuff doesn't need to be deep, it just has to be written competently and interesting. I've read stuff targeted at women before, most of the ones sucked, the ones that were interesting usually did not come from western writers.

Want to cry about The Handmaid's Tale? Go to a Muslim country, and tell them all about it.

That book was a product of the Reagan-Bush era, and should have stayed there.

What I don't want is your 1984. I'd much rather the Uplift series, thank you very much.

Margaret Atwood has no idea how the American Government works, lol. Go read the summary of the book sometime. It's basically a young-adult novel for retarded barista's and poetry-slam wannabe's.

You'd think they would have figured out by now that women, even feminists, don't actually find this kind of thing attractive, no matter what they say. After decades of this lunacy, male feminists still don't understand that the more they humiliate themselves, the less likely they are to get laid.

More like they assume that, like men, women actually literally mean what they say when they tell you what they want.

The thing is that with AGPs, they let their kink consume their lives. First they fantasize about being female, then they're dressing as female, then they're "transitioning", and finally they're chopping their dicks off. At no point do they take a step back and take a good look at what they're doing to themselves.

The trans subreddits periodically had posts about a (checks website in adress bar ) disgusting degenerates telling stories about how they had ''gender euphoria'' when going-through an unsuspecting female friend's clothes while she did the mistake of letting the degenerate alone in her place a few minutes.

Yeah dude, you got aroused putting on yourself the underwear and dress of someone who misplaced their trust onto you. You're not a woman, you're an autogynephile.

The thing is, women dont even want this type of "man".

THe best these degenerates will get is one night stands that, if they result in any children, will be summarily aborted because the only "women" willing to mate with them is an equally desperate feminist landwhale.

Well even in their worldview, its government interference. Just that instead of each state deciding what it wants to do, the federal government forces all of the states to do its bidding.
