Yeah, I keep subscription running, because I have enough ingame gold to keep a subscription running for 20 years (of course it won't last that long with ingame inflation, but you get the idea).
And it's a decent activity that I enjoy doing while watching some soccer games.
Then I clear the LFR raid (not really interested in organized raiding anymore) and do 1-2 M+ a week (KSM is my goal, which I usually get).
I get maybe 2 hours / week out of WoW, more when new content releases. And as I said - it's free.
Here in Germany a PhD gives you the right to call yourself "Dr. X" (lit. doctor X).
Finishing your normal medical degree doesn't give you any special title. But the average population expects their "doctor" to have the title, right?
So everyone in the medical field gets a PhD to get the right to call themselves "Dr.".
As you can imagine the requirements of medical PhDs are utterly shit in Germany. 6months 20pages. Congratulations you pass!
Scientific publications have a DOI assigned to it. Post the DOI and other people are able to access it.
As an example most likely this is the doi for your source: https://doi.org/10.1101/2021.12.23.21268276
Also there isn't much need to care about the distiction between offending pedos & non-offending pedos.
Their goal though is clear.
It's another attempt to police language to worm in their real agenda. Same happened with "racism" and wanting to shift to only mean "systemic racism".
It's a very deliberate act to normalize the thought of pedophilia.
Also keep in mind who this is coming from. You don't know my sexuality, I don't know your sexuality, because we both don't define ourselves via our sexuality. Thus we don't need to run around proclaiming who/what we are attracted to.
But they are different. They run around and have to tell everyone what they want to fuck and what they think they are. Or whatever one of the thousand genders they are.
Pedophilia fits in quite well there. "I'm pedo, but I don't act on it! LOOK AT ME! WORSHIP ME!" is their goal.
Woman said something like "this is crazy" (prior to filming, but she is claiming that she said it).
Police women understood it like "you are crazy" and considered it an insult to herself.
Women wants to continue walking after nothing changing. Guy stops her. "Stop touching me". Don't understood everything then, but then the older woman says to police woman "Ah, you just waited for this".
People basically only say "shame on you". "She could be your mother". "Think of the dog". Woman cries for help and "my dog!".
Policeguy in blue mostly "back off, go away from the street".
I think everyone who wants to accept "refugees" needs some video/image material shown before they are allowed to make such a decision.
Execution by ISIS, Samuel Paty's severed head, and other similar things. Maybe a statement of a girl who was gang-raped by them.
Maybe then people will realize what kind of people we accept. There values are not compatible with our European & Western values. They are part of a culture that bred people who do those things. They will bring that culture into our countries. They are not victims of those cultures.
There are way more countries which mentality & culture aligns better with our than Arabs. Various Asian cultures as well as Eastern Europe come to mind immediately. Strange that those integrate well here.
I will always recommend DeadCore as a fps platformer. Plays really fluid (good controls), is challenging (but fair) but a bit short (~4h). Playing it another time is even shorter though than the first, because you just became better.
Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is a fun adventure game. Has a female protagonist that is well written. Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight) contributed to the game.
If you like RPGs (and you must like them) Age of Decadence has multiple paths & solutions. Quite a bit of jank though and the combat is really difficult (but you can beat the game with almost no combat).
In a similar way (you must like RPGs) the Avadon Trilogy. Really good world & storytelling.
Tales of MajEyal is a great RPG roguelike. I think somewhere on the web there is a free version, don't recall it. Has a number of expansions, which offer new content (but play the base game first).
It's an AI generated profile pic.
From what I learned from https://www.thispersondoesnotexist.com/ look at eye position. Place your cursor on an eye and refresh (hit F5). Head direction, age, etc doesn't matter. You'll always be on an eye.
Edit (I'm bored): Apart from that... you can't do shit. Yes, some images have artifacts. Especially when jewelry / other people are present.
But eventually (took me like 30-40 refreshes and if I would use the code I could probably use parameters) it ends up like this. Sure if we know it's an AI generated image we can talk about her hair on the top left looking slightly strange. When we have this resolution and not a twitter avatar.
And algorithms probably exist that can detect AI generated images (the whole idea of generating images likes this is using a GAN basically two algorithms fighting (one tries to create a "real" image and one trying to detect a "fake" image).
Lesson learned: you cannot (as a human) detect AI images of people.
- Yes
- April and 2nd shot July
- Biontech
- I will receive it when my AB count drops enough.
I take another med that suppresses my immune system. That one says under side effects: "upper respiratory tract infection (1 in 10)", so I am at risk regarding covid.
It wasn't even sure if my body would build covid antibodies, but 2 months after my 2nd shot I got my titer (concentration of AB) measured and it shows fine.
As soon as that drops under a certain value I will get a booster (will test again in April).
I had the tiniest bit of hope that Blizzard might recover.
Put passionate and competent people in the appropriate roles. Let them have competent & passionate people working under them. I believe that even under Acti-Blizz they could've produced quality and fun games.
50% women or alphabet people? Nope.
That company is dead.
"The Lord of the Rings is of course a fundamentally religious and Catholic work; unconsciously so at first, but consciously in the revision. That is why I have not put in, or have cut out, practically all references to anything like 'religion', to cults or practices, in the imaginary world. For the religious element is absorbed into the story and the symbolism. However that is very clumsily put, and sounds more self-important than I feel. For as a matter of fact, I have consciously planned very little; and should chiefly be grateful for having been brought up (since I was eight) in a Faith that has nourished me and taught me all the little that I know; and that I owe to my mother, who clung to her conversion and died young, largely through the hardships of poverty resulting from it."
Why not fullquote?
Unnecessary generalizing crap is what I think about it.
I'm not the most intelligent person in the world. Thus there are many people - including women - who are more intelligent than I am. It doesn't matter to me if there are more men than more women falling into that category. I personally don't gain anything from the stat "More men are super intelligent than women".
Some of my doctors are also women and are providing adequate care for me. I don't need the best doctor in the world for my problems. The women who studied & learned medicine are good enough for me.
In general you can say: I am weak, I am stupid, I am emotionally unstable and I am dependent. And people around me (family, friends, ...) doesn't matter their gender help me and provide for me. Just like I provide for them.
By now almost everyone proboably has heard from the Twitch leak that happened yesterday.
Even a person of undefined gender over at Kotaku saw it scrolling through their mentions while wondering what to complain about next. So obviously they wrote an article about it.
Of course it wasn't about the lack of security of twitch. Or their shitty coding standards, like hardcoding server credentials (and uploading them to their git (link stolen from reddit LSF)).
Or their lack of response by not notifying their users by mail that their userdata might have been compromised.
No. It's about that only 3 women are in the top 100 of earners. And only 1 female PoC.
Which can only lead to one conclusion: "Twitch has not done enough to support women and other marginalized streamers on its platform."
"or something". Top tier fact checking.
