They'll exploit any system for that, and capitalism at least ostensibly provides you with an opportunity to better your situation (when they're not doing everything they can to prevent that).
But having to 'grow up' and focus on responsibilities is just an inevitable part of life, and wage slavery aside, if anything the current regime encourages us to play around aimlessly rather than better ourselves, because playing distracts us and eternal children are eternal consumers.

Not consciously, and slaves aren't the goal. The goal is to be asspatted and affirmed and never inconvenienced and to get everything they want without ever taking a shred of responsibility and never be made to feel slightly bad or emotionally uncomfortable and to act whatever stupid way they want and to be cheered at for it because they're the main character. It's not a conscious grab for power (usually), it's pure childish id surrounded by an impenetrable fortress of irrationality. They will abuse you and genuinely believe themselves to be the victim every step of the way.

Important distinction. There's a big difference between ignorance-based aversion and understanding-based aversion. They've effectively convinced western society that everything they call hate is ignorance, that hate borne from understanding doesn't exist - unless it's one of the targets they deem acceptable. It is one of the most destructive falsehoods in history.

I should have been more clear. I'm not calling James Fields anything. I'm saying that it doesn't really matter if the Nazis were good or bad, anything Nazi-related is absolute poison that does nothing for us. The damage is done, the propaganda was too effective, that is now scorched and irradiated earth. Hitler was the biggest, most evil and irredeemable villain in the history of earth and anyone who speaks his name with anything but disgust deserves a slow and painful death. That is how almost everybody on the planet feels about it, on a deeply visceral level that is immune to logic, and I don't see it ever changing.
