It’s too bad he wasn’t a white dude wanted for online racism or trespassing while conservative. Leftist police would have immediately breached, the leftist judge would have denied bail, and the leftist jury would have thrown him in prison for life.

next time someone breaks into your house, don't bother calling the police. it would be much more effective to fedpost on twitter.

The family of a New York woman who was followed into her apartment and stabbed more than 40 times has filed a lawsuit accusing police officers of idly standing by her door as she was fatally attacked. Christina Yuna Lee, 35, died Feb. 13, 2022, in her Chinatown, Manhattan, apartment. Police have that said Assamad Nash followed Lee into her apartment around 4:20 a.m., stealthily trailing her up six flights of stairs and forcing entry into her unit. Once inside, he repeatedly stabbed her, authorities previously said. Nash has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges.

Wholesome American name there

Neighbors called 911 after hearing Lee's screams, and one of those calls came in at 4:22 a.m., the suit states. Three minutes later, two unnamed members of the NYPD from the 5th precinct, located about three blocks from Lee’s apartment, arrived to Lee’s unit and heard her shouting for help “until she abruptly stopped screaming,” the complaint said.

Seven other members of the NYPD arrived at 5:30 a.m. — more than an hour after a neighbor called 911 and the first officers heard the woman screaming, the complaint said. At 5:40 a.m. — one hour and 20 minutes after Lee was attacked — members of the NYPD Emergency Services Unit forced entry into Lee’s apartment, the lawsuit said. She was found fatally stabbed and pronounced dead at 5:55 a.m., according to the suit.

You get what you elect

Prosecutors said that Nash had an extensive record in New Jersey and that at the time of Lee’s killing, he was out on supervised release in three open cases. If he is convicted, he faces a sentence as long as life without parole.

Best gem hidden at the bottom. “Supervised release” clearly working wonders…

All supervised release means is that they're dealing with a parole officer. Other than meeting regularly with the convict, the amount of "supervision" it provides is solely dependent on how serious the parole officer is about his job and how busy he is. I doubt the NYPD is very aggressive with its "supervision". Probation/parole only really good for keeping offenders who are trying to stay out of trouble on the straight and narrow. It's not going to keep a violent goat fucker like this from reoffending. That's what incarceration is for.

I prefer the felon getting plugged by his would-be victim with a bullet or seventeen. It also saves taxpayers money feeding and sheltering human-shaped garbage.

They don't have to intervene. They have no specific duty to protect. Also, while looking for an article on Uvalde, I found that the timing of this story basically matches what happened back then: small contingent arrives quickly, waits over an hour, and finally take action one hour and 20 minutes after the initial call.

I remember one case of a guy being murdered in the subway infront of the police and they didn't do shit. They don't give a fuck of they don't want to, I seem to recall that being in NYC also but I could be wrong.

It was Joe Lozito. He didn't die, but the only reason he's still alive was because a stranger staunched his wounds with fucking napkins. Cops were content watching Lozito get stabbed in the next car over and only came in after the stabber overexerted himself.

Getting away from the inadequacies of the NYPD and the dystopia of blue cities, this is an important reminder to ALWAYS have a clear perception of your environment.

I see this a lot thanks to phones and earpods, people are in their own world oblivious to the environment around them and it's even more dangerous dropping your guard because you're almost home and can't wait to get something to eat and put your feet up.

Make it like a unconscious activity of once in a while looking around you when you're walking or learning to sense a presence near you and looking behind you. These simple actions make you seem alert and most people with bad intentions back off from that because they prefer an easy mark to someone who looks ready. For the few that decide to go for it anyway, you bought yourself extra time to respond that could save your life.

Leftists have been programmed to do literally the opposite of this. Locking your car door because someone is walking towards you? Racist. Crossing the street or hastening your pace to avoid someone? Racist. Using any sort of pattern recognition, or basing any of your behavior on a stereotype, is problematic. The only enlightened, progressive thing to do is to make yourself an ideal target.

Police are bureaucrats with guns. Most of the time they just write reports and maybe shoo away the rats eating the corpse.

This happens in every European country.

The police stand by and are too afraid to act if the perpetrator is <RELIGION OF PEACE>

The police used to boast that justice is blind. Now it is motivated to protect ONLY those who protest and whine.

Increasingly, the police exist primarily to protect criminals. If we did not have the illusion of a functional police force, then people would dispense with restraint and begin simply killing criminals.

Supreme Court has ruled multiple times that the police have no duty to help, and you have no right to assistance.

More likely the reverse, and Uvalde was on the Globohomo model of policing.

If only she had a gun nearby or even on her person. Funny how in an urban city it took an hour. Its not like out in the middle of no where.

Read the report. The cops arrived in three minutes. They just ignored her cries for help and then didn’t actually do anything for over an hour.

'You don't need guns for self defense! Just let the state protect you!'
