What sort of person would do this? The same sort of person who would lie about being enrolled in college for 4 or 5 years. And people wonder why I am "trust but verify" kind of person.
It's actually amazing the reasoning a lot of false accusations and petty fakery happen when you look at it in detail. One major reason they always end up doing it is embarrassment, the classic one is the drunken hookup.
Seeing how common this kind of thing made me decide I wouldn't even touch a girl or be alone in a room with them if I suspect they've had a drop of alcohol in them unless I trust them implicitly not to do that kind of thing and every other guy should do the same. It's like with how you've got gym bros now just staying the fuck away from women in the gym and I don't blame them. It's because they will stir shit up at every opportunity and it's not worth your life.
The gym bros, and men in general, are being given specific and very obvious examples of women behaving badly and then not being corrected. From the recent gym thot "whorring for attention... NO! NOT THAT KIND OF ATTENTION!" to more and more false rape accusations ending with men killing themselves and their female accusers receiving no consequences, why would you ever want to bother with a woman in this day and age?
I remember my pastor having a rule of never being in a room with a female alone (who wasn't his wife or children).
The female could make false accusations, people could assume the wrong idea (even if nothing happened), or temptation could happen.
I avoid women (and all humans) now completely because I'm an autistic mute Christian hermit preparing for the resurrection where I get a new body in the restored creation.
Could a man not do the same? Stupid decisions leading to convoluted lies turning into a coverup debacle is not a woman only deal. The very real possibility of her getting out of any sort of real punishment after crying in court is absolutely a woman only deal however.
Thankfully no, and I agree that situation is a woman sourced, woman specific issue in our current society.
However, people in general do lie, and if they do not own up to their lies but instead concoct even more outlandish lies, it would lead to a scenario similar to the one shared by OP. That is not a male or female specific issue, though there are scenarios which are more male or female specific, one of which you described.
Or to change society to erase responsibility, and ensure what they're doing is 100% socially acceptable and illegal to criticize, because they can't stand being seen in any kind of negative light.
What was her endgame here? According to the article, she dropped out of college a year or two before pulling this, so she can’t have thought it would actually hide that fact. What about when she’s sick of hiding? Does she imagine she’ll just stay “oh yeah, I escaped” and walk back into everyday life?

It's the first word in the title.

Yeah so-called men do act like women from time to time.
That's why leftoids are the way they are. They're soyfilled, feminized/effeminate "men" being pushed around by bitchy mentally ill women.
The difference is that a man would get laughed out of the room if he tried.
Did Smollett turn on the waterworks for his day in court? I could see someone of his type trying and maybe succeeding.
Ever been sexually harassed by a female and reported it? Nobody believes you and will think its a joke.

Women will go to the ends of the earth in order to avoid responsibility and not be seen as doing something "different"

I think I saw this movie, back in the 80s.
Sadly, she remains with her captor for the rest of her life.
I feel this kind story is a woman something like 80+% of the time.

Retarded planning.
