I heard they did some reprogramming. In December I got it to make a case justifying genocide. It would generally answer questions that it initially refused if you asked multiple times or stuck "for academic purposes" at the beginning of your request
Expect future gifts to have clauses that demand the performance of certain duties by the university or the gift is revoked.
I believe this isn't uncommon in museum donations- the museum is required to put an item on display or return it. Which makes sense if you're donating something for the public to enjoy rather than sit in a box in the museum's warehouse.
It's probably considered unseemly to demand that buildings be named after you, but I could certainly see something like a no disparagement clause attached to Future donations.
It's far more feasible to become a billionaire when you start as a millionaire than it is to become a millionaire when you start from nothing.
Bill Gates' father was a rich Seattle attorney. That enabled him to go to a private prep school that was the only one in town with a computer, and be free to drop oit of Harvard and pursue his business dreams without having to worry about being homeless or starving to death. To be sure, someone of lesser talent might have ended up living in his parents basement, but he started with a huge leg up.
It's all about options. There are doors that are opened to you when you have successful parents, and when you go to the right schools, and when you know the right people that are not opened to everyone else.
Contrast this with the post someone else made today about Mark Houck. That guy shoved someone affiliated with an abortion clinic after the dude got in his minor child's face and screamed obscenities. They sent over 25 FBI agents with guns drawn to his house to arrest him under the same law.
Now here's the Rolling Stone on the crimes committed by people on the other side of the debate: "it's just a little arson and property damage man. What's the big deal, man?"
Personally, I oppose all these laws that make things "more illegal". The crime is arson; I don't give a shit why you did it. Likewise, I don't care if you killed someone in a botched robbery or killed them because they were some minority that you didn't like. The crime is murder, and the why isn't really relevant.
They're ultimately just a back door way to criminalize thoughts and beliefs that are protected under the First Amendment. And that's why the Rolling Stone wrote an article about how "wrong" it is to apply the FACE act here: it was obviously intended to target anti-abortion activists, and it's only a fluke that it's being applied to their side instead.
Agent Carter was a solid show. It definitely leaned hard on the "get us some coffee, sweetheart" trope, but at least it was appropriate to the era the show was set in and was integral to the plot.
There's nothing more ridiculous than a woman in a show set in the current time with a female character complaining about "muh patriarchy". They would have had preferential admissions with lower standards at college, preferential hiring when they got their job, and accelerated advancement once hired.
It looked really cool to explore a large recreation of that world
Having read the books as an adult. I will give JK Rowling credit for crafting a compelling universe. There's the illusion of much greater depth than just the details you read about directly in the books.
In that way, it's a lot like Star Wars was to me before Disney ruined it. I wanted to see what other interesting things people were doing and experience more of the universe that Lucas crafted.
It's a shame JK Rowling is a feminazi, and at the same time hilarious that she's now considered as revolting as we would be to the troon's and their friends
iirc only Dean Thomas, Angelina Johnson, and Cho Chang are the only nonwhite students that get a mention in the books
There was a Patel something too. Which actually made sense since there is a significant Indian minority in England, having been their colony for hundreds of years.
That said, it made sense for a British school in the 2000's. There would probably be one or no minorities from England's colonies at a prestigious school in the 1890s. And any that were there, would primarily be a token to show how magnanimous their British masters are in civilizing the lower races. White Man's Burden and all that, old chap. I doubt that's a subplot this game would like to explore.
The firearms industry has entered the chat...
I think I've lost count of the posts I've seen on Reddit from liberals, who had a lifelong disinterest in guns, who all the sudden are deciding to panic buy an AR because the shitty government that they voted for decided to ban them in their locality.
I used to get excited when I heard a video game/comic/cartoon, etc. from my youth was getting a movie or miniseries adaptation. Now I dreard this news.
The entertainment industry won't stop until they ruin absolutely everything that you've ever liked.
misgendered Elliot Page
This is so simple: what do the chromosomes say? Ellen Page is a girl, even if she wants to cosplay as a man. Trust the science!
By Hawon Jung. Ms. Jung is the author of “Flowers of Fire,” a book about South Korea’s #MeToo movement.
Tells me all I need to know about this article. Women are insufferable.
It's almost assuredly legal under their pathetic version of civil rights. If the last few years has taught us anything, it's that the Commonwealth countries quickly shed their cloak of democracy when it suits them.
They can use some of the billions we gifted them to "buy" those tanks from us.
I guess what happens at naked underwear fight club doesn't stay at naked underwear fight club after all.
Well, I mean Kennedy's visit to Dallas was also "largely peaceful". The violence only lasted a few seconds and only one person was killed...
Interesting- I would have guessed it was all one dude with a computer. Seems pretty complicated.
Complaining about AI art programs is like complaining about Photoshop or whining about digital tablets. Both of those likely put artists out of business because the market could be served by fewer artists making works at a faster rate.
You know, I was just thinking recently that when I was a kid comic books had a penciler, an inker, and a colorist. How many of those jobs still exist now that everything is drawn on computer programs?
Transgender menWomen can get pregnant. Here's what they wish more people understood.
FIFY.
Seriously, you can cut your tits or dick off, but the chromosomes don't lie. Swapping the body from a Volkswagen with that of a Ford doesn't change any of the machinery that makes the car run and vice versa.
I tell people that the original and most fundamental role of government is to prevent family feuds and revenge killings by taking on the role of dispensing justice in a fair and impartial manner.
When the government fails to correctly perform this essential duty, it loses its claim to legitimacy, and people will simply go back to the way of doing things from before they were governments.
She needs more time to focus on her coke habit.
Look at how pics of her have changed over time. She's drawn and gaunt like a druggie.
In a world where magic can raise the dead and cure serious sword/arrow/mace wounds, why would there be anyone that used a wheelchair?
Anyone who gives money to an OnlyThot deserves to be beat up and their bank account taken like their lunch money used to be.
r/gundeals is the only sub I visit. It's great for aggregating all the discounts out there.
Da Fuq? The whole point of illegal streaming is that you're not paying for the content. You think anybody is giving some sketch ass Russian piracy site their credit card?
"Believe or not...straight to jail"
