It's going to be awkward as hell seeing a Star Wars parody post episode 9, whether that's Spaceballs or the (presumably cancelled) Friedberg and Seltzer movie.

At this point I think the only people truly defending him seem to be the hardcore conservative values boomers, most of whom seem to have been compromised by israel too, if they aren't merely too incompetent or senile to properly do something.

While Not The Bee seems to still be positive on him, I have noticed that they haven't really criticised israel all that much. If they become confirmed pro-israel (I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt for now) I imagine people will cast them out too. I think I've even seen a few headlines of people who work for them attacking gamers or other relevant groups to us in this sub. I'd also be suspicious of Breitbart as well, though I might need to look into that more.

Yeah, it seems so. I think much of the heavy right is getting worried about the pendulum swinging back hard and fast as Trump's time in office ends, which I can agree.

There is a minor whitepill in that I have heard that the Guy replacing Orban might not be as huge a leftie as some of us on this sub might make out, but people are pretty pessimistic about the future enough that it's uncertain if we can have a major resurgence. Especially since I think some people have come to the conclusion that any party with genuine good intent will be banned and thrown in prison before they can actually do something.

So weird to think that you would easily be called antisemetic if you thought that they were secretly running the world.

Someone I know now thinks that they might have been the masterminds behind 9/11 and says there are others who think the same despite not believing it in earlier years.

Would they really go for scored? This site is basically a spiritual successor to Voat, and I don't think people from a site known for being full of liberals would want to join a site that is anything like that, let alone founded by Trump supporters.

If anything, I think the more niche subs will probably found spinoff sites of their own like cringetopia did while those who frequented more general purpose subs like funny and IAMA will find some other alternative like bluesky or even the revived Digg.

Probably another serivce will rise to take it's place.

If there isn't a democrat primary (not literally, that is - if there's metaphorically no primary he'd probably have an amazing chance) he could easily give the republicans a chance to get back to back presidents.

The only reason either the democrats (or republicans) have a chance is the two party system that FPTP pushes. I think just about any other voting system would reduce the strangehold that they have, even if only marginally.

I did hear that there were attempts to get IRV available in some states like Maine, but that barely has gotten off the ground.

I still think there's a possibility that the republicans might win the next election (which would at least keep the pressure against illegal immigrants), but if I had to give JD Vance a piece of good political adivce right now, that would be to wait until 2032 or 2036 for an attempt at a presidential run. I think he's gotten way too tied to Trump's second term to win without washing his hands of him, and I feel Ron Desantis made a similar mistake by trying to compete against him.

But that being said, I think there is a good silver lining that he'll be roundly and rightfully criticised by democrat voters easily enough if he does manage to win.

Just to ask you, I can assume that this is available to students across the globe, correct?

If it is... Gen Alpha is likely going to have a field day when they find out about this. Or we're going to see universities go even more downhill.

Not a star trek watcher, but I still remember the guilt-tripping they attempted by saying that if Starfleet Academy bombs, the franchise would die for at least a decade. I did hear that there may be a new movie in the franchise from dave cullen, but if there isn't I can imagine the crash out will be huge.

Also I went to the star trek subreddit and there's a huge freak out over this ellison guy having control over the franchise, and some people were calling him a nazi.

I guess that's true. I generally am fond of the 2000s as a time period, so it's interesting to see people talk about movies from that period.

On the topic of 2000s movies, I will note that as the 2000s slowly ended there was an influx of infamous movies by Friedberg and Seltzer that are sometimes credited with contributing to the death of the parody film genre, Disaster Movie in particular. I think it could be described as a pretty notable harbinger of the death of classic comedy movies.

In fact, I heard from a relative who's hated Trump from day one that he thinks that Charlie would have turned against Trump like kimdotcom by this point if the assassination attempt failed.

And the first thing he bought up about the assassination attempt after it happened was the idea that Israel was behind it.

This... ought to be interesting.

If Nintendo gets some sense smacked into them by this, that's good news.

I did hear about a site called trackAIPAC that keeps records of which US politicans are pro-israel. I'm not certain how reliable that site is, but if not, I would love to find another source. I've read it and apparently there's records of Gavin Newsom (The current democrat frontrunner according to one betting site) being Pro-israel. One lefty relative of mine who's in on the Israel hate has suggested Jon Ossoff, but I think he's Pro-israel too... though he did vote against giving israel more money.

If the trend holds, we are bound for one party rule. And the Republican party will deserve everything that comes from it.

I'm kind of worried that another party won't rise to take the place of the Republicans in the event that they collapse like the Whigs did back in the earlier days of America. At least not one that Israel won't do everything to stop becoming a major party.

But I do think that if a Pro-Israel Democrat gets in, the Republicans may be in with a chance, if only because the Democrats are fucking up too. But even then we can agree both parties are so thoroughly in need of a purge.

If there is one suggestion (as tiny as it is), making sure that people are aware of the fact that Israel is running the Democrats as much as the Republicans. I think that just spreading awareness of the fact that Gavin Newsom (The forerunner for the 2028 Democratic Nomination) has donated to Israel in the past means that he'll likely be subject to the same heat. I can still remember that in 2023 Biden was getting a lot of flak from the muslim crowd for his handling of the Gaza situation, so I at least know they aren't immue to being criticised by the left in that regard.

As far as other suggestions go, you may just want to amp up privacy measures in any way you can. I suspect it will get a lot worse after Trump leaves.

And even more unfortunate is that, now that I think about it, all the Democrats have to do is put on the image of opposing Israel (even if I can think they actually are pro israel unless proven otherwise) and they've pretty much got the white house in the bag next election. I did see a tweet about Gavin Newsom opposing Israel, but even if he really does hate and would try to take action against them that's probably small comfort, given the system of checks and balances that stops a fair amount of real change and his own failings as a governor.

It makes me wonder if the Republicans will have a collapse like the conservative party in the UK are going through - and even then I'm worried that we'd get a true one party state instead of a real America first party rising in their place. I could believe that Israel will try to prop up a Republican candidate that they think will keep their war grift going, and they might have the means to do so - which, if nothing else, would have a silver lining that lefties will probably try to go after them.

Quick edit: I did a quick check, and it does seem that he is pro-israel, despite the headline I saw.

Yeah, this seems to be a persistent problem in media as a whole. I think the fact that companies are trying to push the limits of graphics beyond all reason is a part of that, considering the hardware crisis.

MrHeretic 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not to mention that it did come in around the time the previous king of the genre Overwatch was coming in, which is doubly surprising given that almost everyone agrees hero shooters are past their prime as a genre. Especially considering that early last year Paladins has gone into maintenance mode after nine years of content updates.

I do worry at times that they're trying to go tunnel vision on him to avoid anyone else mentioned getting any hits for what happened.

Though I should still remember the ruling in 2024 that prevents presidents from getting prosecuted (if I remember it correctly).

You know, i think I saw some people try to make a progressive version of amelia in light of her popularity, perhaps since they realised that they fucked up with pathways and can't put the genie back in the bottle now. I do think she's still got a fairly big presence, even if she's probably not going to be talked about after the end of the year.

MrHeretic 12 points ago +12 / -0

Honestly, it's so interesting to see him both called the doom of the country by the left and an incompetent boomer by the right.

I have heard from someone that they think the left is too demoralized by him to the point they think that even another democrat president won't undo the effects of his second term. But it's clear to us that he's doing jack to fix things, because every potential presidential candidate is indirectly vetted by israel to stop them from actually enacting something meaningful.

I think that many of these games were made back when the hero shooter and battle royale trends were at their respective heights, but an obsession with high budget meant that the development lasted far longer than either did.

Danganronpa 2x2, RogueDiceR (which is out today)... and basically nothing else. Like a lot of other people in this thread, there are enough free/released games to satisfy any gaming needs we have. I definitely need to reinstall flashpoint while I have the chance to do so.

While I could also say FE Fortune's Weave, I feel that being stuck to a console I don't know if I have realistic reasons to buy means it may be a temptation I have to put off.

Skill crisis will be another problem as everyone is dependent on AI already, especially the Indians that are replacing us. If any crisis happens that AI can't solve we're going to be f**d.

I think that there's lots of things that probably/definitely won't be solved with AI, enough said. There's going to be tons of kids who won't be able to function without tech or innovate once the people who made the systems in the first plce are dead.

I think at this point ICE would have been a lot more effective if the intent was to actually do it's stated cause.

They've been putting on a good front but I think some people here have seen through the facade well before me. I feel like a piece of shit thinking about it now, especially since we're expecting not one but two blue waves in the future unless something changes.
