There's no way this isn't on purpose.

It's so deliberate that there's already a term for it. It's called anarcho-tyranny. They don't have the means to control everyone directly, but anyone willing to defend themselves is a potential threat and they will act accordingly.

This is basically the worst timing for them and the best timing for us to have a Gamergate 2.0. They over hired during covid thinking they could cash in on the increase of gamers thanks to being trapped inside but now that it's all over, they no longer have unlimited ESG to fund them and the talent to make games is gone from their studios, they're fucked.

All of their real talent either retired or went to get better jobs, away from the DEI infection. Now they're stuck with diversity hires, NPC "activists" and the losers that were only just competent enough to not get fired.

This would be a lot more entertaining, if it was exclusive to entertainment. Unfortunately, the rot is substantially more widespread and much more dangerous as a result.

I'd like to see a list of government agencies that should exist. I can guarantee that it will be substantially shorter than doing it the other way around.

There's no good, perfect answer for this, but I'm beginning to approach the notion that state-sponsored euthanasia is a big fucking warning bell that society should be paying attention to.

Any power the government can abuse, will eventually be abused. Give them an excuse to kill someone without charging them with a crime and you're handing them an excuse to kill dissidents.

Eradication of more humans by the elite caste?

Obviously yes. Giving the government an excuse to kill undesirables is going to be heinously easy to abuse.

"What's that? Your friend wasn't depressed? You're clearly just depressed at having lost a friend."

The real issue is in what else this bill will do. I can guarantee it doesn't merely "ban tiktok", but will also include a lot of BS about "fighting misinformation" and other wise punishing dissent and enforcing the narrative. Especially since it's an election year.

It's going to have to be some kind of new competitor,

How about an old competitor and not just an old one, but possibly the oldest competitor? I am of course referring to piracy. This is the real reason these companies are so hellbent on turning every release into live service slop. So they can prevent people from easily bypassing their faggotry.

Epic made it clear what it was really about, when they pulled the exact same shit with google on android. Android allows the downloading of apps without using google's services. Sure they refer to it as "sideloading" instead of downloading and put in vaguely scary warnings for CYA, but it's still entirely possible to have apps on android without giving google a cut.

Tim Sweeney is just butthurt that he can't profit off of their services, without giving them a cut.

Kinda why I still pray for the quake to take Sony management out.

I can't tell if you want a quake to hit Japan or an Escape From LA style scenario to shake California into the Pacific. I've been hoping for the latter for awhile now.

The problem wasn't EA getting the rights, but rather EA getting the rights exclusively. They wound up missing out on potential money from other companies and EA actually brought a lot of negative attention, when they pulled that micro-transaction BS with Battlefront 2.

I'm also pretty sure this was a big part of how Star Wars got to be as big as it did. Anyone being able to license a book or game, meant there was plenty of content and natural selection meant only the best stuff succeeded. Disney giving EA an exclusivity deal was one of the early signs that they had no idea what the fuck they were doing.

They need to hype up AI voice impersonations, to try to distract from all the stupid shit Biden actually says. His dementia means it's very hard to keep his potato of a brain on script.

I wish Valve made a desktop version of their SteamOS

I seriously annoyed that they haven't already done this. Microsoft really needs a real competitor, because Apple is just overpriced trash for hipsters and faggots.

You seemed to care a lot

Why should anyone outside of Ukraine give a fuck what happens there? I do care that money I'm forced to pay is being used for this shit, but that's as far as my concerns go.

I actually have a better question for you. How is this any different from the war in Iraq? Same bullshit money laundering, different fucking day.

Until the industry is more willing to openly discuss development processes, the lack of transparency will continue to be used as a straw man for bad-faith arguments that characterize DEI as an imposition by nefarious, unseen forces rather than an effort to cultivate a more accurate reflection of the world around us.

Groups like the World Economic Forum, Blackrock and Vanguard are all out in the open. They're also very honest about what they're doing and their goals too. No "unseen forces" necessary, when they so proudly operate out in the open.

This is a dumb question from a non Brit but how does the BBC justify itself?

They're just a propaganda outlet for the British government. They don't need to justify anything, when they're paid by the government.

They could do it, but they'll have to be careful not to get sued for plagiarizing Slaanesh. Games workshop are notorious for how litigious they can be.

Obviously I'm just kidding, but that's going to be a tough act to follow for anyone trying to make an LGBWTFBBQ themed faction.

They're always happy to do the party's bidding, but they hate being called out for it.

It's the same with Sweet Baby inc spazzing out about that Steam group. They're outraged, but not because of what they've done and will continue to do. They're outraged because they're finally getting called out and they don't want any chance of the normies getting wise to how deliberate this all is.

Almost nothing is open past 9 post-pandemic.

Post lockdowns. It wasn't the "pandemic" that changed all of this, but the government polices that never should've been followed in the first place.

IfThatIsWhatYouThunk 8 points ago +8 / -0

The government takes a cut of the payments. They don't care who's being forced to pay or why, but they will make damned sure they get their cut.

IfThatIsWhatYouThunk 8 points ago +8 / -0

We will probably be hearing about them again when they decide to drive through the middle east.

Safe bet that it will also be the last time anyone hears anything about them.

Made even more retarded by the fact SB shows these games on their own website, to brag. I'm pretty sure most of the list this curator set up was made just by checking SB's own website.

rap music

Quick correction here, but rap is not music. Semi-rhythmic grunting is a more apt description.

He's the first candidate I remember since Bill Clinton who actually seems like he likes Americans

Clinton signing off on NAFTA and the "assault weapon" ban proved that was just an act. The way the media and government keep attacking Trump is a good indicator that Trump is actually legit.
