That sounds cool, I'll go check it out. Thank you!
It was Disney's (really, Kathleen Kennedy's) version of "The Future is Female" (the Feminine Supremacy slogan during the Rise of the SJWs) after appropriating a franchise that mostly appealed to men, young and middle-aged, when going beyond the films and Clone Wars media. The point of this phrase was "we're not making new content for the core fanbase anymore, we're making it for the normies, which means more wymynz". Those two versions of the slogan quite literally appeared around the same time.
If they're still going with this phrasing after mostly torching the franchise by trying to make the force female, it's kind of hilarious.
(Personal note: the franchise was dead to me the moment Disney retconned the EU into muh legends not too long after purchasing it. Yeah, the EU has weird plots and had bad writing in a number of places, but it's highly disrespectful to just throw out 30 years of literature just so one could make whatever bullshit Social Justice Wars to piss off hardcore fans and wear it like a skinsuit. Even more disrespectful to then steal concepts from that EU which was retconned)
Can't collaborate with FBI spooks to fake another plot of kidnapping herself to garner sympathy, so pandering to leftist white collar workers? Maybe if the taxes are low enough? That usually draws them in more: leftist policies on the cheap to continue virtual signaling.
Ah that stinks, I remember seeing it back then and it looked like a promising show with that first season. Was wondering where it went...
It's all on purpose but what pisses me off are the normies and even right wingers who accept this excuse
Well they accept the answer because it gets summarized down to "the local police were just incompetent, we'll do better next time". It's always the out because what never gets asked is "what did they do that qualifies incompetence? How were they incompetent?" In these situations, the police chiefs never admit to what exactly happened and media blasts that "incompetent" statement loudly. People go "oh well" and move on. What are the locals going to do if their police is thoroughly corrupt? Gut the whole rotten fish? A lot of normies just stick their head in the sand to avoid conflict.
Just from this surface-level cursory look into the "how", we find they were preventing people from escaping (this exact thing has happened before in the US on several occasions), which is criminal behavior. The police chief doesn't admit to it because he'd be dead in short order.
If it's an audio platform marketed as for children, sanitize it as much as pearl clutchers would like. It ensures no fault from any crazed parents who can't be assed to make playlists for their child to listen to.
That being said, my parents played classic rock radio since forever when I was growing up, and oh-ho I remember this song. But I never got too deep into the lyrics of the song, and when I could as I got older, I didn't take them to heart. Although, there are women with some fine asses out there. (The lyrics in question do come from that old double-standard of "older women molesting slightly underage boys is okay". Also it was penned by Brian May, so can't really blame Mercury for this)
In hindsight, I think the Internet does more to screw up children and teens than some radio songs but maybe I'm wrong. It's really hard nowadays, unless you monitor like a hawk.
There are reports that the police were actively blocking the highways during it.
There are quite a few peculiarities this time, but every incident and tragedy that happens intentionally usually has at least one smoking gun where stupidity can't be used as an excuse against critical thinking. There it is.
Ohoho shit, it makes much more sense now in hindsight.
The simulation was predictive programming without the need of fictional media, but the SARS scare failed to accomplish what they intended so they had to wait a few more times to get it to stick.
Rumor has it Gaddafi was trying to build a gold network to get off the shackles of the SWIFT banking system and petrodollar (like Hussein before him).
He stated his nation was the only barrier holding a flood of migrants back from Europe.
He called out weaponizing viruses too?
No wonder they had him killed.
"Boohoohoo, they called me out for engaging in tyranny. Oh woe is me, those cursed [insert out-group epithet here] media outlets!"

Maybe the Intel agencies are doing a "poison the well" tactic. They're putting out rumors of lockdowns in certain departments to trigger people into thinking lockdowns are coming back. However, they have something else in store instead.
They say COVID restrictions, but is this in any way related to the proposed "climate emergency" rumors? I think they're really trying to hide how paper-thin economic stability is right now. Probably still trying to push that "Dark Winter" scare (cat was out of the bag already though, way back 3 years ago)
Well of course he walked it back, because allowing foreigners to buy land is a rule as part of being in the World Trade Organization. It functions at the level of US Federal law currently. Japan found this out a few years ago when they discovered Chinese outposts on land right near all of their military bases.
Leave the WTO, or change federal laws and make the subversives at the WTO pound sand.
Which is why the Euros should try it, would be good to see the US military rip the mask off.
and had your messiah killed
God responded in a century's-time by letting Emperor Hadrian squash their final revolt and scatter them to the world. Almost two Millennia later and they never learned, just repeatedly dug their heels deeper.
Well, the Whigs had their time. So too will the GOPers.
It's interesting how conservative parties die will off to be reinvigorated as new ones, yet the current Statist one continues to morph its tenets into a more insidious dogma.
(lol, my spellcheck claiming "Statist" is not a word, and search engines burying the term. Statism comes up fine though)
I haven't been watching much recent anime, so I can't speak to my own knowledge on that specifically.
Definitely seen the male trope in anime-esque JRPGs (e.g. Ricardo Banderas from Xenogears, although he's more green than brown, and Dedue from FE Three Houses).
Usually you won't get Asian "anime" artists to draw darker skin unless it's a generic male insert for hentai. If not, it's just alien skin colors.
(That's not to say I haven't seen brown/black female characters drawn, but it's niche unless the character is popular. Ganguro doesn't count)
I do understand that getting the AI to work for oneself can take some finagling. You can have an art AI put out freaky junk (like by injecting a set with rare Pepes), or have it create masterpieces in one's own style. Error probability in a set does reduce and smooth out the larger the set becomes, but yeah, accuracy comes from healthier data. Lobotomizing it (like the woke-types) with biases only cripples the quality output.
And I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords. They should be held to the same standard as humans.
I'm fine with that so long as the overlords leave me alone.
With the amount of people noticing the illegal immigrant issue, I'm not sure. Rationing while sharing with squatter trash the central government allowed in? Yeah, that'll devolve pretty fast.
Really this smells like Civil War 2.0 fodder. Far-Lefties and perhaps their milder folk don't care though, they already view the position of President as dictator.
Yeah, fraud is the biggest concern to me, given how much "deepfakes" have evolved over recent years.
Still my own personal concern with AI in general is if creative people who work with their hands start dropping their chisels and pens. I believe the future landscape will be the unskilled using AI to make "new content" based off what exists, creators using it to fill in for they don't have resources for, and the skilled using it to speed up their processes. I'm unsure if any digital creatives will create things fully by hand anymore for money, but hey, hobbyists still make oil paintings to this day.
Overreactions from these assholes voice actors have gotten funnier to watch blow up.
But there is a serious rabbithole with regards to voice AI. "There will be consequences", but I dont see much discussion surrounding those consequences. One popular thing I see currently on YouTube seems to be having specific VAs or live/dead singers sing songs they never sung. Seems harmless, but since these use potential copyrighted recordings, I have no clue if its fair use or not, maybe they qualify as "mashups". So far it seems pretty much everyone using voice AI admits it upfront.
However with future concerns, if the AI gets good enough, how does this play into falsifying evidence, fake phonecall transcripts, etc? I know these AI leave some sort of fingerprint one could identify their use, though I can't cheer on this sort of AI improving.
Disgusts me to this day how they got away with that and how many ran with it. Just to boost Obama before stealing a second term.
(Government collaborating with businesses)
Cool beans Fedboys, I didn't know Fascism was in vogue now
(Joking aside, the back-and-forth information sharing has been going on since probably the Bush Admin and certainly with the PRISM program under Obama, it's just entirely mask-off now)
I wish the honking would stop... But Clown World continues to honk away, unabated
