Speaking as a dirty, protestant heretic, as Christians we all ought to take Christ seriously when He said "No one comes to the Father but through Me."

A. Mr Rogers wasn't murdered.

B. Mr. Rogers died before the current year cancer metastasized so nobody had a bone to pick with him.

C. Mr. Rogers was all about getting along, which is why the left loves him so much and give him the "Sonic the Hedgehog agrees with MY ideology!" treatment, regardless of his actual stances.

How ghoulish. To be reduced to a retconable fictional character after your demise because of your message....

Rankin Bass has a load of classics beyond Rudolph. There's Santa Claus is Comin' To Town, the animated Frosty the Snowman special, and the Year without a Santa Claus, which has the Miser Brothers' banger of a theme song.

If Trump said breathing oxygen was good for you, the left would all suffocate themselves.

Considering we've been called to a lifestyle that leads to The World mocking us, thanks!

He's been regularly reviewing Peele's films too, hence why I hope to see his take on this. When he gets around to it....

Used to be that things would cycle. Either the old thing would die and some young upstart would come in and replace it, or there'd be a "rebirth," breathing new life and vitality into the elder, course correcting and being reborn.

Nowadays, old, dying things are kept on life support, so they don't even get the chance to be reborn. They just truck on like the shambling dinosaurs they are.

Anyone else ever read "Out of the Silent Planet?" Maybe the aliens have beaten us to it.

We really are trapped in an eternal era of re-releases, aren't we?

Do you look for babies to put in the bath water before you toss it out?

I'm a fan of this zinger, personally.

It's one of those sayings that's basically true, but horribly bastardized. Like "The customer is always right," where they lopped off "-in matters of taste."

Love in modern lingo means "feels good" more so than the actual meaning of "wants the absolute best for." Conversely, hate means "feels bad" vs the much darker core of "wants the absolute worst for." And the conflation of these feelings means that whenever something doesn't always feel good, there must not be love anymore. And when someone makes you feel bad, it must be equivalent to them wanting your entire existence erased.

This unholy oversimplification naturally leans towards the negative, leading to love becoming harder and harder to cultivate, and "hate" springing up everywhere from the cold, unfeeling truths of reality.

Sometimes, what's best for someone is discipline, which doesn't feel good. And wanting what's best for a sinner is for them to stop sinning and being destructive, to themselves and others.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There's something deeply ironic about the party of "empathy" being unable to wrap their heads around the complexity of actual human emotions.

Charlie Kirk was 100% on the money saying empathy, as presented by the left, is a bad term.

They say he confessed to his dad, and now isn't confessing to anyone else.

Considering all the people coming out of the woodwork to take credit for this atrocity, and how... convenient it is to have a scapegoat to draw all the righteous fury that has been generated against the left, I don't feel comfortable definitively declaring this guy the killer without conclusive evidence.

Here's the thing. I don't doubt that there are vastly more efficient ways to generate power out there. We've seen that Nuclear has been hamstrung by critical failures of archaic technology being paraded around like the norm. I'd totally buy that the powers that be are stifling superior techniques to prop up their status quo.

I just think that it's also an easy field to be a snake-oil salesman in and use the government's blanket oppression as free advertising to prop up a fake product.

The left has determined that negativity is evil. They're dirty hypocrites about it, but their ideology definitely holds that "Inflicting pain or suffering of any kind is inherently evil (Unless you're doing it to someone inherently evil, in which case it's totally justified.)"

Ironically, I could find that core stance to be somewhat respectable, except that they have no concept of nuance for either end of the spectrum. So they deny pain where it's necessary; like natural consequences, character building, or corrective discipline, and embrace it whenever it suits their bloodlust to "righteously" destroy "evil."

Just because it's fictional doesn't mean it's not true. On the contrary, the best fiction works because it resonates with the truth.

See, I was willing to write it off as a stretch of a conspiracy. Now I'm more willing to give it serious consideration.
