A. Mr Rogers wasn't murdered.
B. Mr. Rogers died before the current year cancer metastasized so nobody had a bone to pick with him.

He also was an idealist, who likely could make his ideals reality in his own bubble through sheer charisma and patience, but would be completely helpless at the deluge of rage and toxicity in our current climate.
If he came out and said a single nice word about any right wing figure today, they'd have him strung up within the weekend. Even if that word was "let's calm down and not throw things."
