Well yes, that's what the pm of Godot is successfully doing isn't it? We can make a non-woke fork, but the original Godot is forever tainted because the owners do whatever they want to do and silence all dissent.

Although it's arguable whether whoever let this goblin manage the project in the first place failed to gatekeep or knew exactly what he was doing. That's not a specifically open source problem.

These two things are unrelated.

Guaranteed investment from international financiers, positive media coverage from games journalists, and priority access at all the gay clubs in San Francisco? You had me at shalom.

Normies crave being seen as normal and reasonable, and always slide back to the "middle" position that makes them look chill and not too extreme to their friends. It's why Critical Drinker and Asmongold are so popular despite having no convictions whatsoever.

I wonder why he's an "Ex" exec.

Peculiar timing. We've actually needed the opposite: a militia protection act that encourages militias and protects them from three letter agency harassment. Hell, states should be giving militias supplies thru the national guard.

The TDS logic loop:

Trump encourages dangerous far-right qanon conspiracy theories by claiming there's a Deep State and he is the only one who can stop it.

Trump also has the Deep State working for him to stage assassinations and cover it up to help him win the election.

Also that's not what a "filler" episode is. A filler episode is a term that comes from anime.

This is incorrect and a real bugbear of mine because what you're calling erroneous is the original definition of filler for American TV, before anime was ever heard of here. As you point out it it's confusing because the anime term "filler" is entirely different from the other commonly used term, but the non-anime version came first. It just meant an episode that doesn't move the overall main plot forward.

Actual percent voting matters less than the influence networks they control. You can't win the presidency without them.

These attacks have been going on a few years now. Iirc last time they tried to hit a Japanese kid and accidentally killed a Chinese woman who stepped in the way to save him.

Case law already allows game systems to be patented unfortunately. See the Nemesis system. Where Nintendo should lose here is that Palworld isn't the first copycat. If they didn't go after everyone they can't go after anyone.

I understand the sentiment but this leans way too much into the Japanese mentality of work-life balance. My sick days are a negotiated part of my contract. I feel no more hesitation in using them than I do in taking all of my paycheck home each week.

a known criminal who Italian police tried to deport

Who stopped them? Why does this happen in every country? When did a switch get flipped that made it easier to enter a country than to be removed?

Laissez-faire freedom of the media was a mistake. It's a nice idea. Maybe it could work in small populations. Most nations understand you need speech rules and censorship to direct the proper upbringing of future generations. I'm not sure what the best system for America would have been. At least something that gives local communities control over cultural propaganda. A lot of local channels would preempt network TV more often before consolidation.

It's Democrats and Republicans cheating Donald Trump.

That was the situation in 2016. It might be the optimist in me speaking, but I think Trump has locked in the establishment Right this time. They know he has this one in the bag and have largely bent the knee. Either they think they can use him as controlled opposition, or they plan to let the economy crash and put the blame on him. Can't speak to "Republican" state election officials though. They may act on their own.

Declared mentally unfit to stand trial is quite frankly the worst hell in the first world. It doesn't end. Ever.

Nice. A small silver lining to this story then. Still not punishment enough though.

I don't know how much of this theory is true but I want it to be. It sounds like the scary backstory to one of my Japanese animes.
