They would have had the cushy retirement anyway, probably even more so considering the content of most retirement home workers characters. It was just to not be called racist and feel good about themselves.
There is a Kevin Bacon movie, "Where The Truth Lies" about a comedy duo in the 1950s and a murder. Anyways there is a dinner scene on a plane. They turn a row of seats and pull up a table and serve dinner like at a restaurant. Flying used to be luxury and not an air taxi.
It greatly annoyed airlines and plane manufacturers that a lot of people would rather pay substantially more for a plane that drank more fuel and couldn't carry anywhere near as many passengers to get to a country twice as fast as any jumbo, so they tried to kill it for decades. But they never crashed. Never had any major reliability issues. So they had to keep flying them.
Then in 2000, the hostile takeover was launched. On July 10th, Aerospatiale would be acquired by Airbus, then 15 days later Flight 4590 happened, where a Concorde crashed on take off because of a piece that had fallen off another aircraft. Suddenly, it's an "unsafe" plane and it has its final flight 3 years later.
Afterwards, Airbus made sure they could never be flown again, by ending support for all parts relating to the plane and forbidding any airline from purchasing and flying those which were still airworthy, gutting what remained for museum purposes. 20+ years later, supersonic air travel is as much of a pipe dream as it was in the 1950s.
Concorde was uncomfortable to sit in, the seat pitch was about that of a 737. The only upside was the flights weren't super long.
Concorde was dangerous from the start. By 1980 enough catastrophic tire failures had been racked up that the FAA sent a "What The Fuck Are You Retards Doing?" letter.
Not really. It's a real world case of people deliberately burying superior technology. Once you believe that those running the world will bury inconvenient technologies, it's easy to wonder about other such things.
Heartbreaking really. The future we were promised 30ish years ago really could have come to pass - if not for a bunch of demented egomaniac pedophiles who would rather rule undisputed over a global third-world favela.
No. The whole problem is that it couldn't come to pass, but people tried anyways. Even with the early computers we have now the very first new generation is almost entirely ignorant of the tech that they require to maintain their lives. Trying to do too much at once is overburdening people and they're losing knowledge/skills that previous generations took for granted.
With the price of flying, I don't think a lot of people can afford to pay more. Its a real problem with the current economy that lower-middle class whites are being crushed from all sides, and trying to "price out the niggers" just also prices them out too.
As far as literacy is concerned, don't worry. Western education departments across the world are hard at work in making sure that illiteracy is an integral component of modern urban schooling.
No landwhales encroaching your personal space, no children kicking your seat because they drank their weight in soda, no adults kicking your seat because they can't get comfortable. Heck when my dad traveled for work he sometimes brought back stuff the airline freely gave him like a deck of Delta playing cards.
One of the reasons I really like Finland, and well I used to like Sweden which has gotten a lot worst. The Finns resist it a bit especially out of Helsinki. I mean you really can just walk around there with no concern for safety. The liberals think all of this is a symptom of their social systems, but their social systems only worked because of the homogeneity and shared cultural standards. So, you look recently and as they become more invaded and more Europe-ized, everything falls apart.
I need to make it to Hungary sometime and check that out as well as a bit more of the Baltics. Where I've been isn't super exotic, albeit fun, but last time I was there they weren't very muzz-ified yet.
A better world.
We could have had it but they sold our future off to their (((masters))) for a cushy retirement for themselves.
We are the children burned on Moloch's altar.

One word: Concorde.

The Eurotards dragged their feet on addressing the vulnerabilities until the great aerial French barbecue in 2000.
Fuck Concorde and fuck the yurotards who worship it.
Me who has absolutely no idea what anyone is talking about: "Let them fight"
It's horribly sad...and infuriating. This is how you end up with "did aliens build the pyramids"

It was also incredibly loud inside.
reminds me of the whole hindenburg thing i read on here once
Yes, and it was also vastly more expensive.
I think a lot of people would be willing to pay more if it meant not sharing a plane with niggers and other low-IQ chumps that ruin everything.
With the price of flying, I don't think a lot of people can afford to pay more. Its a real problem with the current economy that lower-middle class whites are being crushed from all sides, and trying to "price out the niggers" just also prices them out too.
Anything that is made available to the lowest common denominator, is inherently ruined before, or as a part of, handing it over to them.
Take the internet for example. Or video games. Or even literacy.
As far as literacy is concerned, don't worry. Western education departments across the world are hard at work in making sure that illiteracy is an integral component of modern urban schooling.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
Compared to coach. Compared to first class not so much.
They also used to have appearance standards for the flight attendants. I think they still do on some international airlines.
White and/or act like gentlemen and ladies = nice, stable quiet.
Having rachet ghetto people = trashy, loud and violent.
All the nice places that was out of reach for animals are now shittier.

I remember the plastic wings.
Trillions of dollars and our future sacrificed. And nothing about them got better. Frankly everything got measurably worse.
Average flight in America today :

This is why you always get the braided USB cables so you can garrote one of these things in a pinch.
Modern problems require modern solutions.
We are told that chimping out is a racist term. Yet it so accurately describe the conduct of these savages.
It's a mock up for an ad but okay. It's not even a real plane.
“Would you care for some meat with your meat?”

That's not how you cut a ham. WTF.
that is how they cut the really fancy spanish ham
I live in Spain and I've never seen that. Slices parallel to bone, always.
then i don't know
blame the swedes
Which kind? I thought Jamon Iberico and Serrano were both sliced kind of like prosciutto? Flat, thin slices parallel with the bone?
Not a regular ham. I assume cured ham gets served/sliced differently
Even top celebrities don't get that kind of spread in first class nowadays. Why does everything suck ?
Mustache man was right
Tom Selleck?
Nice.
A Norwegian, Dane and Swensk in the same picture. The Dane is being treated nicely? For Scandinavia that is very nice.
they ate like kings back then
today airplanes feel like prison busses
