I’m really happy with my Governor and hope he doesn’t back down. This is insane that a president is going after someone for doing what the constitution demands. I do feel there are interests (be it some cabal like Bildebergs, CFR, WEF, etc) that wants to keep sending wave after wave of “migrants” to the western world.
I honestly feel one side will give in and I hope it’s Biden. If they had in guts in DC they would charge him with treason. In the Air Force if I had flat out refused to carry out my duties I would’ve been arrested pretty quickly
I hope for the best, but I just have zero faith in the spines of Republican politicians. I expect either capitulation or some sort of "compromise" that, as always, results in the left getting what they want only marginally slower.
the fact that they got as far as they did already exceeded my expectations.
The fact that we aren't actively shooting invaders at the border should tell us everything we need to know about our government. This is all just a show.
Abdullah from Sudan buys himself a plane ticket to Mexico, takes an Uber to the border, throws his passport and ID into a ditch, and suddenly becomes Jose the poor helpless refugee from Columbador who is fleeing imminent murder and will die in moments if you don't let him in and give him a free phone and a gift card with thousands of dollars. 🙄
NGOs are probably buying the tickets and arranging the transport.
Also all the invaders are being paid to come here by NGOs, using taxpayer money. So its not only an open border but they are actively subverting it.
The FBI/DoJ are going to entrap some mouth breathing dumb asses into giving them the incident they need to come down on Texas with a huge display of force.
Whitmer was on her way to losing until the FBI organized and carried out that insipid kidnapping plot. The same FBI agent that organized that is now in charge of the D.C. field office.
The legal case for what Texas is doing is clear, and totally justified. Any attempt by Biden to stop it is, by definition, un-Constitutional, and any Federal government personnel carrying out such orders are operating completely outside the very legal framework that allows them to exist in the first place.
I think that the U.S. government is in the position that domestically and abroad, they can't keep the lids on all the pots, and that if they try and fail, the results will be worse than if they just let some of the pots boil over. What happens if they let Texas, Florida and Oklahoma do what they want to with their borders and illegals? Maybe the flood turns into a running river?
Now, here's the real question. What happens if they try to force the states in question to obey and can't?
biden nationalizes the texas national guard, abbot does the sad face and says "ok"
but what this did was plant the seed of the idea that red states can coordinate to resist the federal government, and that will have to happen in the future as demographics shift to less White and the democrat voter fraud machine in national elections becomes more subtle and harder to challenge
Hopefully things get... Explosive.
I don't think for once the pro Texas having a border side is going to fold. It's EXTREMELY risky to try to use force, whether physical or legal, to try and seize control from the state of Texas right now.
They only won that supreme Court case because of Barrett, getting them involved again is TOO risky as Barrett and Roberts are as more cowards than they are corporate/establishment cucks and they don't want to have a target on their back by putting their name to something that seems like a nuclear bomb.
I feel like everyone is blowing the supreme court thing out of proportion.
SCOTUS didn't rule anything, they just vacated an injunction, which happens all the time.
Additionally their interpretation is constitutionally correct: "yes, the constitution does say the feds can fuck around at the border".
They never said they agreed with what that fucking around entails. They never said Texans can't do what it's doing.
Both sides are actually legally correct, and Texas laying barbed wire for DHS to cut apart and then laying more wire behind them is basically fine, it's just stupid and gay.
Yea. My dad said the same thing. Texas was never told it can’t replace the barbed wire.
I'm betting that the Biden regime makes some sort of comprise that the media paints as the Fed's winning and we all forget about it by mid February.
I expect it to continue, because its an election competition, not a real one. They keep threatening and getting closer, but never actually go to war. That way both sides can show they faced down the other side.
I hope I'm wrong but the only thing more dependable than the sun rising in the morning is Republican spines collapsing when things get difficult.
I expect that once everything cools down to get another show about how Republicans are a threat to democracy.
Is one of those situations of heads we lose, tails they win.
I fear that too. The media will hyperventilate for sure.
Nothing ever happens
c'mon do something
I'm used to conservatives in general and Republicans in particular folding when facing the Feds, but this time looks a bit different. So far we are half an hour past the deadline and nothing is happening. Best case scenario is the feds feeling foolish and backing off so the Biden administration completely loses face. The states get back to doing their own thing. However, if things get hot I would hope the Texans would live up to their boasts and we see a bunch of hogtied Feds under arrest. Don't be mean though and brand all of them. Just the officers as a reminder that there is a price to pay for being a leader of men.
Maybe Obama slept in today so nobody gave Biden orders.
I expected them to fold weeks ago.
Don't back down now. Round up and deport the invaders.
I didn’t have : Biden’s handlers retaliate against red states by imposing a fake climate emergency on my score card :

The Dukes Of Hazard racing in to save the day by removing the razor wire in the name of justice and equality for all (but mostly the election prospects of Biden), using an elaborately dumb plan involving Daisy Duke and a string bra.
I’ve been meaning to binge that show. Haven’t seen an episode since I was a kid in the 80s
They'll still look the same as you remember them. ;)
Search your heart. You know it's true.
At the end of the day, both parties arguing are American and will work it out reasonably. It’s not like they are all schizos with red sunglasses and no trigger discipline.

Red sunglasses a reference to the new movie about civil war?
Correct.
I think that given Trump's comments on the situation and him actively encouraging states to activate the national guard they are almost certainly going to use this as a way of justifying putting him in jail for real which was a dumb move on Trump's part. I would've kept my mouth shut all the way until November and kept suspiciously quiet then I would have unleashed all kinds of hell afterwards.
When you look at their bizarre rhetoric and realise what they're trying to charge him with all of a sudden their insurrection nonsense makes sense. I mean, I know it's obvious now in hindsight and everything, but it was a case of even when you know those kinds of people they were wtf were they even trying to pin him with? Then you realise that it was never about evidence it was not only slander they really were trying to keep up the larp in order to get him jailed.
Should've kept his mouth shut on this one honestly. Hell, even I know when to keep my posting to myself in certain situations. For example when the inauguration happened in the UK there were police sniffing around looking for excuses to arrest people over social media posts which is why I didn't even comment on it for the most part other than I know they're looking for an excuse so I won't give them one.
I mean I don't even need to look at reddit to know what those retards will think on the situation, they're going to claim he's inciting governor's against the federal government by getting the national guard involved and it's the precursor to a civil war.
Biden's immigration policies are so unpopular that Trump could very well win the election from prison, especially if he is jailed for opposing that instead of something else. He also would have a trial that would be about the best campaign ad he could ask for.
Hopefully you're right, but I wouldn't discount the idea that the psychopaths up top won't try to jail him and then have him Epsteined for good measure then try to gaslight the whole world about it.
Martyring him sounds like an even worse idea (from their perspective) than him winning the election. It would only further radicalize his base.
I think people are full of shit, would be very surprised if there were that many people who would go gloves off if Trump died. Which is I think something that the elites have calculated and is why they're so eager to put him in jail. They don't need him to be charged with anything, just put in a jail cell long enough to turn the cameras off.
Yeah, I don't understand why people think this will be the tipping point. They've already crossed what should have been red lines dozens of times. There's no reason to think this will be any different.
I don't think they're afraid of a civil war. That's unlikely to happen. They are afraid of people exiting kosher politics en masse.
they already don't like trump.
they are not ready for who comes next.
If he sets foot in a prison he's not making it out alive.
On the flip side it would be extremely funny if he ended up being really popular in prison and all the guys know what's up so they just agree to make sure he doesn't die LOL, total backfire on the elites.
They would just put him in solitary confinement away from the other inmates and then he suddenly Epsteins himself.
The worst thing about the aftermath of the US Civil War was the fact that secession is now synonymous with war. It wasn't like that in the original founding.
It was always deeply naive to think otherwise.
depends how entrenched the federal government of a country is. when the United States was founded, it was definitely intended to be a partnership of multiple States. in being a partnership, any states that voted to back out could do so.
the US civil war changed that. now, instead of a partnership of states, we are One Nation divided by extremely soft borders, and that one nation is entirely at the whims of the federal government.
secession in the former can easily be done without blood. secession in the latter basically guarantees a war.
And then you have the mainstream media
The latter but unironically.
