I think the ones who hate attractive women have issues. If I see a man who is in shape or a guy that a lot of women throw themselves at I don’t curl up in a fetal position and whine about it. Some people are very beautiful and some are not. Such is life.

Females just aren't interested in the games that they are purposely making woke. Every single game that's supposed to appeal to ugly feminists, like Deathloop, Redfall, Forspoken, or the Saints Row Reboot, have all flopped... hard.
It's been this way for the last decade.
There isn't one corporatist interested in actually making money who would see this decade-long trend and still think, "We can make more money on this female demographic who isn't spending money on our products than the built-in male demographic!"
All of this is ideologically driven. There's been nothing but flop after woke flop and they keep doing it. It's all about the ESG scores and has nothing to do with trying to actually make money from consumer interest.

It's true that lots of women play "games" though. I'm talking like Words with Friends, puzzle-shooters, and browser games. I think women play at work. Women are more likely to have a job where they sit at a desk with a significant amount of downtime with access to a computer.

This is true. The mobile sector is where they make a lot of their money, in addition to the digital goods sales.
They use low-effort mobile titles to get people hooked on the aforementioned gambling tactics through genres and game-types that actually appeal to their respective demographics (i.e., social/casual games + gambling mechanics for women, and waifu gacha games for men).
When it comes to product sales, midcore games, and hardcore games, you'll note that they take a decidedly different approach. With the rare exception of a few companies, most of the games in the mainstream gaming sector are designed to be woke propaganda.
In some ways they get their cake and eat it too, because they make billions on mobile games actually aimed at player retention, but then they lose millions as they attempt to brainwash people with the hardcore console/PC games.
People ask if making money is so much easier with thinly veiled skinner box games then why does anyone make AAA PC at all. The answer is there's space there, but it's hard. It's kind of like saying why do people make porno productions when the easy money is in iPhone porn. You can make money doing it, but you might have to grind it out. And it's uneven.

You know, at first I was thinking it’s Fable. All the characters look like they were born from dung pie piles. Then as I see this picture more and more floating around social media, I start to get an understanding that there’s a lot more off about this than I originally thought. This is suppose to be a woman, but there’s no tits, she has a really dirty face, a crooked-ass smile, too much unkempt hair, and the eyebrows are too much. You could’ve given her a deeper voice and everyone would think she’s a man.

Fable games used to have more of a cartoony art style. Not just in texture quality but in the way the characters and environments were proportioned. I think if this new game attempts to replicate the humor of precious games with a 'realistic' art style it'll be more off putting than a million ugly females.
It's not just that they are trying to destroy beauty (even to the point of thinking that conventional beauty doesn't exist).
It's also that they, themselves, and everyone they know, has terrible physiognomy.
Remember that they think that the bitch from Feminist Frequency was smokin' hot. She wasn't. She's a gussied up 5. They're just wildly unattractive people.

Honestly wouldn't have been controversial if they just made her look realistically average. They chose a 1/10 look and it does feel like there is some purpose behind it.
I think they just legitimately hate straight male gamers (at the cost of tossing lesbians under the bus with them) to the point that they don't want to mistakenly please them at all.
I couldn't make an attractive female character in Diablo IV, the faces for all the models seem to look masculine or just unattractive in some way.
I find the white male Rogue face to be too feminine, no matter what I do to the thing.
Managed to make a female sorc that reminded me of Joan Jett, or, more precisely, her satirical doppleganger from Bloom County, Tess Turbo, so that was OK.

It takes a lot of work to model main characters and literally the only people left in the aaa space are activists or weak men that aren’t willing to risk their just-a-job job over something as trivial as making sure the game they’re making is actually cool.
I remember life drawing class featuring whoever off the street didn't mind standing nekkid in front of students for $50/hr (late 1980s). Holy fuck, but it sure disabuses one of the notion that humans are somehow the "most perfect art subject" (which I never believed in the first place, but man, that sure as fuck confirmed it for me.)
