Absolutely no chance at all those are real cutting scars. Ambercrombie would hire a semi-attractive clean person and then use make up to add them on.
All the scars are nice and clear and uniform, rather than completely jagged and off angled from each other. Since we all know that people cutting themselves are entirely in a mental state to have full control over their motor functions.
Scars are in "attention" zones, aka high visible places that people could see but not at all in a location on the body that could cause any type of real damage, because clearly people who are at the point of self-destructive actions are thinking, "Well I got to make sure I don't hurt myself".
And as we all know 'suicidal' people are always so active to want to be plastered everywhere for fucking pep brands and these types are also always going on and wanting everyone to know they are suicidal. Bet her parents are super stoked to have had someone they know show them the add for their daughter with her 'suicide scars' for everyone to see. Bet that's something we'll totally see.
Fake as shit advertising. Probably a dozen more reasons it's fake to beyond this.
I will admit to knowing nothing about cutting, but from what little I do know, aren’t they too high up the arm? Almost every time I have ever heard of people cutting, it is their wrist, since there is a high chance of hitting a vein.
Not all self-cutting is a suicide attempt.
"Confidence cuts" to get used to the pain before going for the big drain.
The ones on the upper arm look really stranged positioned.
The ones on the lower arm are "okay".
In general you cannot generalize cutters, since it's just a symptom and coping mechanism for an underlying mental illness. Some cut, because they deal with emotional pain and the physical pain is a more welcome alternative. Others like to punish themselves, because they feel like they should be punished.
People also like to hide their wounds, that's why I think those locations are strange. (inner) thighs are a way more popular area as is the torso.
I suppose. I have obviously never considered anything like that, and it would largely be useless to me as a side effect of my autism is that I have an absurdly high pain tolerance (for example, I went 10 years without knowing I had a broken foot). However, I will tend to bite things when I get stressed or am anxious, and that can include biting my fingers until they bleed.
Cuts up there aren't abnormal, but they are rarely where they start. Like if someone started cutting that far up, its because they've already turned the lower arm and many other places to shreds already.
So they'd be completely believable if the lower arm had except for the two shown that look completely different than the others.
A lot of cutting is on the forearms but not near the radial artery.
This is where most cutters do it. Cutting is about the pain. The pain helps them with stress and the adrenaline boost is kind of addicting. I don't do it intentionally, but when I bust a knuckle while working, the rest of the job seems to go more smoothly. Pain is a strange motivator like that.
There are better methods to cope, and usually cutters do it because of stupid first world style problems. That is, they aren't busting their knuckles doing anything useful so they kind of crave some real pain to drown out the petty bullshit that fills their lives.
they are.
source: I've dated crazy bitches who cut themselves.
Cutting scars are almost always straight like this. Cutters don't have parkinsons.
Nah. Generally women cut their inner thighs and upper arms because these places are easier to cover up and hide. Look it up.
Anyway your assumptions and speculation about cutting at all wrong and you don't know anything about the subject. Take it from me, a person who has researched it and dealt with women who did it.
Cutting is generally done to cope with self-hatred, not for suicide or attention. Girls with BPD engage in terrible behavior towards other people, and their "conscience" doesn't function properly, so they can be a sociopath 1 day, and then the next day suddenly be overcome with intense self-hatred and loathing for all the terrible things they've done. Cutting (or other self harm) is how they cope with those feelings and get over them.
As some other people said, it doesn't have to be a suicide attempt or anything. This could very well still be fake - it does look a bit uniform - but I do know some people cut their arms like this, or other locations. This looks like something that could potentially be real, but could also be fake.
One way to find out if they're real or not is to look up the model and see if the scars in in other shots.
Here's where you're wrong:
Niggers get what's called "keloid scars" and you can absolutely have these nice, straight scars from cutting.
Plus, why waste the money on a vfx artist when one of the danger hairs on the set definitely knows someone who will jump at the chance at permanent memorialization as an "ally".
If those are keloid scars then OP is a fag for claiming they are self-cutting which makes me right for pointing out those are not scars from self-cutting. Which makes you a fag for saying I'm wrong.
And again, those aren't from self-cutting.
I spent ten years working in mental health in a non-medical role.
They look exactly like the self cutting scars I have seen. Upper arms and upper thighs were the most common. Usually on the left arm, so they can use the right (dominant) hand to cut.
Scars like that are from cutting through the skin layers to the fat layer underneath, then healing without stitches. That is why they are wider in the middle than at the ends.
corporations are godless and disgusting
Always were
Can someone explain why this ridiculous social contagion exists?
cutting is a giant marker of extreme mental illness, usually borderline personality disorder.
the Left in recent years has worked hard to cultivate the mentally ill into a new identity group & intersectional tribe they can leverage to destroy straight white males. You have seen this manifest in a fetishization and worship of mental illness under the guise of "acceptance" which looks more like celebration.
since cutting is an open and outward sign of extreme mental illness, it's practically a "I'm fucking crazy" tattoo, it isn't surprising that the Left would seek to celebrate it and promote it.
Then 'borderline personality disorder' either does not occur outside the West, or it is not inevitably accompanied by this. I have never heard of such a thing in the Middle East.
Like the Joker.
A tattoo is an "I'm fucking crazy" tattoo. It's just that this one is free.
There's a wide range of oddly imprecise and questionable "disorders" that have been suggested over the last hundred years or so, mainly derived from Western cultures. BPD is a semi-older one if I remember right.
BPD is part of the human condition and exists everywhere. It might not manifest cutting specifically as often in other cultures, but it would manifest self-harm very often in some fashion.
The middle east is a black box in many ways. I wouldn't expect women with cutting scars to be visible in middle eastern cultures when even showing a woman's ankle is haram.
You'd have never "heard of this" a few decades ago in the US, either, because it wasn't talked about. Mental illness is disturbing and makes people uncomfortable, so the natural reaction is to cover it up and keep it hidden. While there is a legitimate argument to be made that excessive suppression leads to people not getting help, the Left has gone to the opposite extreme to the point of celebrating it and causing people to LARP it.
Which woman is more likely to be open to a one night stand - a tattoo or a cutter?
Cutter.
Impulsive and risky behavior, such as [...] unsafe sex, is a symptom of borderline.
sex with BPDs is russian roulette. you're just as likely to get a false rape allegation as you are to get pussy.
That's not really your lane, is it, Mr. "Omar"?
I don't know, nor would I recommend investigating.
It's the sort of thing you don't hear much about unless you've worked a job in teaching or childcare. Basically it's teenagers, usually girls, who cut themselves to feel alive after some sort of trauma, or because they see their other friends do it and join it. The progenitor in most cutting groups was most likely molested or came from another group of cutters when they moved schools. The standard places for cutting are between the fingers and toes so it's easier to hide from teachers and parents. Sometimes high up on the thighs for the same reason. I encountered a cutting group at a job about a decade ago. The normally method for dealing with it is to hand the cutters off to a more experienced/trained adult and break the friend group up. Isolate the first cutter and get her some help. This is not the first time I've seen it almost being encouraged in media, but this is the most mainstream example I can think of. If you ever encounter a teenager who casually mentions "self-harm" to you, get away from them and let someone in authority over said teenager know immediately to protect yourself. You do not want to tangle with that Tar Baby by yourself.
Girls aren't able to regulate their overwhelming emotions well, so they get bogged down and are told things like "pressure valve release" and such are an escape. So they cut, get that pain euphoria (helped by their unacknowledged masochism) and then are conditioned into a vicious cycle.
Its the same with all their other "conditions" like anoxeria/bulimia or bleaching their hair to baldness. A bunch of girls told them it "makes them feel better" and then they turned to it in a bad moment once, only to then get addicted.
Females
Why do anorexia and bulimia exist? Or 19th century hysteria?
Unstable women copying each other's disturbing attention-seeking behavior.
How is this meant to sell clothes?
Clothes?

This is disgusting. Not at face value, I don't give a shit if she's got self inflicted scars. But this is actively promoting self harm to impressionable youths. And they know it is, because they're the ones who always complain about how thin models set impossible beauty standards for youths to emulate.
This isn't representation. This is glorification. There is a 100% chance that this will lead to teenagers cutting themselves.
Remember the outrage when Abercrombie and Fitch was revealed to have a "no unattractive people" rule for hiring for their stores?
I can fix her.
She should have tried harder.
