In general you cannot generalize cutters, since it's just a symptom and coping mechanism for an underlying mental illness. Some cut, because they deal with emotional pain and the physical pain is a more welcome alternative. Others like to punish themselves, because they feel like they should be punished.
People also like to hide their wounds, that's why I think those locations are strange. (inner) thighs are a way more popular area as is the torso.
I suppose. I have obviously never considered anything like that, and it would largely be useless to me as a side effect of my autism is that I have an absurdly high pain tolerance (for example, I went 10 years without knowing I had a broken foot). However, I will tend to bite things when I get stressed or am anxious, and that can include biting my fingers until they bleed.
