Study finds that the average IQ of college students declined. Unrelated, during the same timeframe, diversity quotas pushed out qualified white and asian students in favor of brown and black students. (archive.md)

Anyone paying attention could’ve seen this one coming from a mile away. I hope all affirmative action consideration is struck down. Stop punishing those who are gifted and stop lowering standards for those who are not

That's the entire idea behind "equity" so I doubt that will stop any time soon.

Equity is communist bullshit. The entire concept hinges on identifying who "needs" something more and taking away from others to give it to them.

Once people realize that they're going to get the same outcome without having to put in the same amount of effort, they just turn into grifters working the system.

I hope all affirmative action consideration is struck down.

LOL. Like that would matter.

Even here in California, Affirmative Action was voted on, made illegal, then voted on again (to repeal the previous law banning it), and was still kept illegal. That doesn't stop the left from doing it, though.

Search on Google for how they substitute other factors to just do what they wanted to do (affirmative action) in the first place. (TLDR: university officials officially substitute other factors like income and parental education levels as proxies for race and ethnicity, and unofficially, they still go ahead and just take race/gender into consideration.)

Laws/rules don't mean anything to the left. What people really need to start understanding is that these people have been thoroughly indoctrinated to view themselves as being The Anointed (to use the term from Thomas Sowell's book), and that they are righteous crusaders here to save you (the Benighted) from your own ignorance, evil, whatever.

They do whatever the fuck they want, and then they rely upon their control of the media (traditional, and internet) to cover for them, to make sure any public anger is kept in check.

That’s true. It would just be step one. Then you have to fire every activist but like you said they’ll use other factors. The Anointed and Quest for Cosmic justice are the next two books by Sowell I need to read

That's what's so insidious about the left. They can justify anything they do because in their minds it's for the greater good and they're supporting the march of progress to a better world.

So, when they break the law, or apply double standards between themselves and their opponents, it's all OK and morally correct in their minds.

100%.

On top of that, when they do x - and it doesn't show any of the results they promised - they just write it off as, "Well, If we didn't do x, it would have been a lot worse", or, "It just didn't work because we didn't do x hard enough".

That, combined with the point you brought up, is what makes the goddamned media (traditional and now tech) so freaking dangerous. The public being informed about what is actually going on (and getting mad about it) is the only moderator on stopping the stupid stuff the left engages in, and we now exist in a system where the media doesn't even pretend to be unbiased/professional in the slightest. Instead, they are running propaganda for the left, so - instead of being a moderator - they are being an accelerant.

The left's stranglehold on the narrative needs to be broken before anything else can happen.

I've also seen them justify it as "Well they had good intentions."

Can't do it in California, but this is why DeSantis is purifying state college boards. You can make laws all day, but the rubber meeting the road there is the governing of these colleges, which has traditionally been done by unabashed Bolsheviks.

But since the stat is paying for the schools and lending their name, they should really be able to dictate what goes on in there. You'd like it to be apolitical, I guess, but it never has been.

Not related to affirmative action, but it's insanely funny that the main villain for the next three years of Marvel movies is the Council of Kangs.

You can't just strike it down because the people implementing it will find another path to the same goal. You have to strike it down and get rid of all the people involved in making it happen.

Exposure to education, including through obtaining a four-year degree, generally lessened the blow to IQ points. The study suggests, however, that this is less so for younger participants. “[E]xposure to education may only be protective for certain age groups,” according to the authors.

Yes, and dry streets are protective against rain.

These authors are retarded. (Success in) education was historically indicative of higher IQ, because admittance and ability to pass was tied to intelligence. Once this misunderstanding was cemented, universities stopped failing students for sub-standard performance and started admitting anyone with a pulse for those sweet, sweet gov bucks, a university diploma stopped being a useful proxy for above-average IQ.

It’s also why millions of “graduates” are clamoring for their degrees to be paid for by taxpayers, as they couldn’t succeed with the useless piece of paper alone.

You would think that at some point they would stop pushing the idea that everyone belongs in college. There are plenty of trades out there. I joined the Air Force after high school and went to college on base

There are plenty of trades out there.

Yes but you don't understand that trades are for the uneducated countryside right winger boys? I'm so glad I picked up my trade in highschool already and was already making money off of it while my peers were either working shit deadend jobs or wasting time in college.

My good friend has a high school diploma and is a carpenter. Makes 6 figures. It’s absurd that that is the attitude towards trades but I’m happy to see people excel. Congrats to you.

That is true, and for all that people build it up on the internet sometimes, a lot of tradesmen tell me they want a different job. Esp. after a couple of knee replacements or whatever.

this is the usual reverse cause and effect game they play, like saying low income causes low iq and criminal behaviors when it's the other way around

rationalwiki types will talk about the Flynn effect and point out that countries' IQs have improved dramatically -- such as Korea -- as their financial prospects have improved. But ignore the fact that none of those sorts of massive social changes are happening in America.

to me east asia already had higher iq because of the cultural encouragement of education, they showed lower iq when initially contacted by the west because of the ignorance of the western studies, once they were educated in the subjects, they tested well. the early versions of iq test were heavily influenced by language and culture whereas the current ones are based on abstract concepts with no reference to cultures

when they also grow inches taller on average you realize there was a physical deficiency before. Which no doubt can affect the brain.

It's also worth keeping in mind that whatever dire straits Africa is in, IQ-wise, that is with Western food aid. Prior to that, on average of course always, they probably had even lower IQ.

yeah better nutritions helped everyone to reach true potentials, but there's obviously a limit to the increase and proportionally blacks are still at least one standard deviation lower than everyone else, even with the so called Flynn effect

Higher education itself went downhill when it went from being a sacrifice for more knowledge in an elite field (like spending years learning how to be a surgeon) to be seen as a requirement to pass through in life (which is why we have so many useless courses)

If you want smarter, look to trade schools, the fact that they actually have to work and can't sit back using their diversity status weeds out the eventual dropouts in higher education.

You don't understand, the jewish funded IQ studies I've read recently indicate IQ is entirely nutritional and based on healthy upbringings. That means white supremacy is the reason for declining IQs. We must push more equity to raise IQs! Trust the science.

''Isn't the average IQ of askenazi jews 120?'', is what you should reply since they always boast about it, use their tricks against them.

That's false, it's much lower (not sure if you were being serious, though). There's a really good break down of the Jewish IQ studies by a Youtuber called Leather Apron Club. Here's the link:

Of course I'm not being serious, I'm just pointing out their hypocrisy because it's racist when you point out average IQ in a lot of African countries and how there's no white primitive societies/tribes, while the only ones that still exist in Africa and some shit islands in the middle of nowhere are all blacks, but the jews can openly celebrate their 120 or 130 I can't remember average iq because that's super duper cool, jewish pride hell yea!!!!!!

I am still honest enough though, no matter how much I rule16 them, I can't deny that there are juden intellectuals, the problem is that nothing good ever comes out of their intelligence, in fact quite the opposite, they poison every society they have a presence in, because as people they are rule16 (not this time Dom).

I've already watched several videos from that channel, though I'm not sure how wise it is of him to reveal his face.

Affirmative action quotas are just a cherry on top of the controlled destruction of institutions of higher learning.

When i was in college, i became right leaning after seeing protests at school which was like 60% asian.. demanding more brown people to be admitted. I shook my head because i knew what that meant. I knew these assholes were screwing over future asians because # of slots for admissions will always be limited.

Also.. it was around the time ron paul was around. He came to my school back then.
