The Kirby cartoon from the early 2000's (yes, a show about Nintendo's Kirby for kids) is now "inappropriate by today’s standards" according to the box set warning. (archive.vn)

I've been rewatching shows from my childhood and there's a lot of stuff in old kid shows that the left would pretend to be offended about so they could shit it up. A good example is that most shows back then had at least one episode where male characters had dress like women/girls and hilarity ensued. Shit, one show I watched had an episode where one of the boys dressed up as a girl and accidently tricking his bully into being attracted to the "female" he was dressed as. It was actually funny instead being all about the character's "gender identity" and they didn't do it to earn the praise of a bunch of clapping retards who thought they were getting a gender studies lecture. It was a breath of fresh air compared to today's media.

I was rewatching some old episodes of Batman The Animated series, and it was surprising to see Poison Ivy as a sexy femme fatale along with Harley Quinn being Joker's devoted girlfriend/henchwoman as opposed to the two of them being frigid lesbians like in today's DC media.

It's fitting that everyone's target for "The most realistic depiction of lesbians ever" is an ecoterrorist feminist and a well educated girl with daddy issues that completely failed at her real job being completely toxic and violent to each other.

Is Margot Robbie’s Harley a lesbian..?

Sure, she’s not very good, but is she actually?? How does that, uhh, work with her origin story then..?

Also, isn’t Poison Ivy’s whole power her ability to control men??

Not saying you’re wrong, necessarily. I just don’t understand how this works, in context, lol…

in Birds Of Prey, Margot Robbie's Harley "emancipates" herself from the Joker and starts a gang of girl boss badasses. There is also the recent cartoon titled Harley where Harley and Poison Ivy are literally a lesbian couple, and their dialogue and humor mostly just consists of misandric snark.

Also they had to completely gut Poison Ivy's character, because in the original Animated Series she was conniving and manipulative. Her team-ups with Harley was based on a power play by Ivy to control Harley into doing what Ivy wanted (similar to how she controlled men).

But having Ivy manipulate Harley and groom her into her sidekick in the "modernized" HBO cartoon would be too much like reflecting real life lesbian relationships.

Thats a good way to look at it, I also see it as just not having any female characters that are appealing to men because of "muh male gaze". Most of the female Batman villains were very Bond Girl like, and that doesn't appeal to the legbeards writing the show because Chads like Batman irl reject them, so they would rather write their femcel revenge fantasy instead.

It was weird enough when Gotham made Ivy an “aged up” (twice!!) kid, thereby leading to the conclusion that she is a kid in an adult’s body…

Because of course they did.

Basically: “Hmm, this whole Ivy Pepper thing doesn’t really work without powers of seduction, hey?”

“Yeah, but she’s a kid, so…”

“I know, let’s age her up a bit!”

One season later…

“Nah, this is still weird…”

“Ok, let’s age her up another decade, change actresses again, AND completely change her personality!”

“Ok… Wait, what?!”

Aaand that’s what they did.

Logic.

Taps head

So yeah, I guess this was only the next “logical” step…

I also see it as just not having any female characters that are appealing to men because of "muh male gaze"

100% spot on.

It's a demoralization tactic wherein men who find certain traits of women highly attractive, they turn them alphabet and make them despise/hate/have zero interest in men. It's a way of saying "This woman, with traits you like, has no interest in you, and by proxy, women like this have no interest in you."

Similar to someone's post recently about how they've turned all tomboys into alphabets or encourage them into alphabet degeneracy as a way to deter females from liking male hobbies -- who otherwise would mingle peaceably with their male counterparts.

You see them consistently take popular femme fatales or characters (depicted as good or bad) that men really like or find attractive in some way, and re-orient them as a way to appeal to the legbeards, as you mentioned, and demoralize men in the process by outwardly making it known "You can never have someone like this."

(I mean, not that men should really want women like Poison Ivy or Harley, but for the men who find them physically attractive in some way, it depicts the notion that women with traits men like, aren't into men.)

Its also a form of cuck conditioning towards men. It tells them that women have a right to be disrespectful to them because "wahmen are oppressed" whilst at the same time men should still simp for them and accept that they can never have them because only an incel creep would think hes entitled to a woman he likes.

The whole appeal of the femme fatale types were that they exhibited traits in a woman that are very desirable to men (voluptuous, flirtatious, and feminine), and legbeards hate this because they don't relate to it, but since fat ugly females aren't appealing, they instead subvert the archetype by making it into a lesbian power fantasy to condition men into feeling guilty for their fantasies.

Even if someone like Poison Ivy or Harley isn't someone a man shouldn't really want, the appeal of the fantasy for men is having women of that caliber lusting after you, and this is a fantasy thats inherently exclusive to legbeards which is why they want to ruin it for men, sort of like the sore loser who flips the table during a board game.

I remember watching a cartoon as a kid when Bugs Bunny dresses up as a woman and Elmer Fudd 'falls in love' with him. I'm sure that would be censored in today's shitty age.

I mean those episodes usually involve Fudd getting his head blown off. That's why I'm surprised they haven't claimed it yet, given that suicide is a key part of their made-up identity.

Lol, I’ll bite: what’s the show?

Not that such storylines are overly unusual, as you say, in kid’s shows from that era, but sounds amusing enough…

The show is Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide. Cookie pretends to be a girl named Simone to find out what his crush Lisa likes. "Simone" shows up in a couple episodes and the bully Loomer ends up developing a crush on this "girl". It's a tranny's trapping fantasy brought to life, only back then they knew that men can't become women so they made it funny.

I used to watch this along with the 2003 TMNT series which would also be deemed problematic today since it showed April as a damsel, Casey Jones as a Chad, and new york's gang members as ethnically diverse.

This trigger warning stuff is mostly just a power flex to demoralize people, I seriously doubt even the most limp wristed cuck would be offended over a totally innocuous Kirby cartoon.
