But... adults can buy Happy Meals. I distinctly remember an ex-bf of mine buying one, because we wanted a pokémon figurine. I still have it somewhere.

They should have honestly just marketed happy meals kids who wanted quarter pounders and big macs.

Yes, it can be used as a life lesson. Give them the options at an early age, the ones who go through with it and weigh 600lbs by age 15 are clearly the stupid ones and should be casted aside.

And they get to die quickly, while their parents are covering their resource draining health issues.

I mean it's a win-win. Much like a lot of lefty stuff it can be fine in a controlled scenario where it doesn't infringe on others. LGB's are fine (let them do butt-stuff and die of HIV/suicides at a rampant rate), it's when they start to groom kids or force others to enjoy their crap that it becomes a problem. Same thing goes with foods, same thing goes with "vapering" (I think that's what it's called, where they do that different coloured smoke stuff that is full of chemicals).

What we should do is ban extramarital relations to destroy gay hookup culture.

Monkeypox already proved that an outbreak will not stop them from spreading disease just to get laid, so what we need to do is politically cleanse them.

lets twist this logic a bit to show how it could be used against folks, lets legalize all the drugs and lower the required age for all of them to 18 the ones that use them will serve as an anti example and be cast out from civalised socitiy.

That’s what they’re doing. McDonald’s would get heat for feeding kids bigger portions because it’s poison. This way they can pretend the happy meals are actually for bearded millennials

Both McD and BK used to have the "Mighty Kids" option for older kids that came with both toys and somewhat bigger portions for this exact purpose.

They all did away with them some time ago for reasons I don't know.

The problem with Happy Meals is that it comes with milk and slimly apple slices in liue of soda and fries and if you do get fries it's half the size of a small fry unless you go thru the hassle of asking for soda and a small fry.

What they should've done is let people order a kids happy meal with fries and soda and just call it a "classic happy meal" and everyone will be happy and no one will order the shitty big mike friendly bullshit happy meal.

Haven't been to McD in around 5 years so maybe thing changed.

We weren't poor but growing up McDonald's was like a once a month thing and road trip food and it was always a treat. Just give the little tykes a small fry and soda once in a while, it aint gonna kill them.

They do it to trick parents into thinking it's healthy(er) and it's okay to feed your kids it more often. The problem was never the tallow fried french fries or the 16oz "small" soda. The problem is parents who take their kids to McD every other day instead of cooking them homecooked meals.

I don't have data or statistics to back it up but I bet the parents who regularly feed their kids the new happy meal twice a week feeds their kids all sorts of other garbage as well. And the kids who eat happy meals twice a week most likely leaves the apple slices untouched like the touchpads of the steam deck.

Kids are resilient, my post was in reply to adults ordering them and an adult complaining about milk and apples vs a turbo jumbo fatass fry package and a soda.

they really should take a page from old snl and just make a fatass sized meal option and be done with it... heck if its cheap enough it may be able to be ate for a few days if you like that kinda thing

I think you can also just ask for the toy and buy it separately. I also didn't learn until I was an adult that you could ask what you they put in the meal and choose if they had more than one. That would have been a game-changer when I was a kid because I had so many duplicates when we went there.

You can buy happy meals you know? "But it's not the same! I want a happy meal that is meant for me! I don't want that one or just get the toy with a normal meal, I want MY happy meal!"

The left in a nutshell, they needed to be spanked more when they were younger.

Yea, McDonalds understands their target audience. The Twitter Starbucks generation will salivate over that, while they check in at McD on their $1000 smartphones and complain that it's so hard to save money as they shove their overpriced plastic toys up their noses.

I still have a whole collection of happy meals toys from when I was a kid, that I gave to my kids, because they used to be well made toys.

We never went to McDonalds either. I think I went once for each of the toys I got, specifically to get that toy because it looked (and was) fun.

Oh yeah, I remember they used to have a picture of all the toys for the current cycle. They were usually shit-tier toys related to the current hit movie. I'm sure they had to be kinda crappy to not compete with the real action figures at the toy store.

But every so often, I just had to have whatever it was that month. I still have the cheesy fake transformers that looked like menu items.

this... doesn't seem like a big deal to me? today's adults are already being targeted with content that was previously considered childish. and they are actively seeking out this kind of entertainment. why would you not try and market to them with something they enjoy?

if you visit this place you probably have manchild hobbies, me included. and I'm not saying "there's nothing wrong with being a manchild" (hell no) but should you really be judging other people about this matter?
