Ron DeSantis actually focusing on one of the biggest threats to civilization: ESG. I pray everyday that the Republican voter base realizes we can nominate this guy and win big instead of nominating a 78 year old man vehemently hated by half the country for the third time! (mobile.twitter.com)

If you think that they won't whip their ignorant voter base into a frenzy over Ron DeSantis, well, all I can say is that you clearly haven't paid attention to US presidential politics since at least 2004.

Some meth-addicted homosexual came very close to beating him, in Florida. But then again, it was a bad year for the GOP, so we should be happy that he won at all.

But the question was whether they would get their ignorant supports into a frenzy. That's not even a question, as they have already done that.

They can try but it is impossible to generate equal hatred of DeSantis to Trump.

Trump hatred is visceral in too large of a population in the U.S.

I have seen a man actually foaming at the mouth when a friend of mine said the name Trump.

It is scary what reaction is triggered when they hear his name.

Trump will make it insanely difficult to win in 2024.

Two party consent state so I couldn't sadly.

FYI it happened at a California private college in the Bay Area.

That makes it even funnier!

I'd just do it, two party consent be damned. The odds of them successfully doing something about it is about zero.

And yet opinions on Trump were universally above average prior to 2015. The machine targeted him for destruction, and that was that. The same thing will happen to desantis. What we really need to do is push through the current paradigm and get to place where leftist media optics don’t control us.

The reason they hate Trump is also the reason he was so successful. For DeSantis to succeed, he has to be just as hateable, because their rules only exist to keep the opposition neutered.

DeSantis is cool, but he can't be the nominee in 2024. We can't have a Trump third party run, or him turning on the GOP nominee.

Your "hated by half the country" is also rather lame. They'll instantly make half the country hate DeSantis as well, possibly even more. They're already coming out with "DeSantis is worse than Blumpf".

This is beyond ignorant.

They cannot paint DeSantis as worse because DeSantis doesn't fall for media traps and he doesn't have a messed up personal life like Trump.

Trump cannot be allowed to bully us into making him the nominee in 2024.

Sore loser laws will prevent a third party run.

They cannot paint DeSantis as worse because DeSantis doesn't fall for media traps and he doesn't have a messed up personal life like Trump.

But they already are. There are more aspects than just that.

Trump cannot be allowed to bully us into making him the nominee in 2024.

If you want to lose everything because you're mad about a vaccine, OK. But admit that this is what you're doing. It's also not 'bullying'. We have seen how much Trump hates losing. You think he's just going to quietly back down if he loses to RDS? No.

Sore loser laws will prevent a third party run.

Those will differ by state, and it takes only a few states. Moreover, just Trump opposing the nominee will be sufficient to cripple him.

Dude, they painted fucking Mitt Romney as a sexist, racist and it worked. "Binders full of women". McCain and Palin as a hick racist duo.

They always do it, and it always works with a big majority of Democrat voters. Most people still have Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Frankly Trump is doing DeSantis a favor right now, in all likelihood the left is going to go full fever pitch on trump during the primaries leaving DeSantis an opening as tamer Trump. The reality is the second DeSantis becomes the de facto top dog the false rape accusations and slander will start pouring out.

I voted for Trump twice and would vote for him again if he was the option but I fear he would spend a lot of time re hashing 2020 election. Also a host on a local conservative talk show said Trump is so hated that the left will crawl naked over broken glass to vote against him. Which is very true

Somebody would have to be unbelievably charismatic and quick-witted to make it through the media onslaught unscathed. They obliterated Ron Paul. Trump is good at quips and soundbites but he's also an old man who phrases things poorly sometimes, which made it easier for them to attack him with out of context quotes. I haven't seen enough of DeSantis to know how he would hold up.

No one is trying to appease them.

Running Trump 2024 is asking for the left to supercharge their turnout while DeSantis 2024 gives us a much better shot of winning.

It is impossible to make DeSantis more hated than Trump because he doesn't fall for the media traps and his personal life is not fucked up like Trump's.

I've seen many election cycles at this point in my life and it is true that the Dems and the media will character assassinate any GOP candidate. However, Trump is different and the hysteria surrounding him surpasses the baseline level of hate that every Republican receives. I think that it's due to his polarizing personality and the way he speaks. It goes beyond the banal political rhetoric like X Republican is racist for supporting voter ID and securing the border. People love and loathe Trump for the stuff that he says and the way that he says it. It doesn't help Trump that he's a soundbite factory for the media. That's why stuff like the infamous "very fine people" comment lingers years after he says it.

Trump was the first republican candidate after the woke shift and the first outsider in general. Democrats were riding high on smug and their world collapsed when he was elected. I don’t seem them de-escalating if Trump doesn’t win the primary.

That local conservative talk host is actually aware of the real world unlike some voters in our base just unable to move on from Trump.

I praise Trump for the good economy and no war during 2017-2019 but his performance handling covid and preventing a stolen election in 2020 onwards has disqualified him from running again for the third time.

I hope people like that local talk host can help change hearts and minds of our voter base.

Trump was getting pretty damn sloppy at the end, which he really couldn't afford by then, given how thoroughly controlled the narrative had become. He needed to be clever, not dramatic. With how hard Dems were turning the accusation of election fraud into a scarlet letter, it had to be made into something you could get away with saying in public, and he was the only one who could do that. He needed to poke fun at shit like water pipes bursting and washing away observers, or how ballots aren't fake if they're in a suitcase rather than a briefcase, or counters slipping love notes to each other. Make their blatant cheating into something funny, pathetic, and plainly visible.

It doesn't matter who sits in the Oval Office, the machine will just do what it wants. And what the machine wants has fuck all with what the people might want.

I'd rather DeSantis stay put and perhaps be the President of a Free States of America separatist effort than see him get undermined 24/7 by satanist backstabbers in DC.

I guess we're going back to the pre-Trump GOP where immigration continues to be America's true Third Rail and we celebrate the "based" minority flavor of the month. Until Whites are the minority, and of course they'll never be flavor of the month. And then we're just Latin America North.

I'm not going to stop saying this so long as it's still relevant. DeSantis needs to stay at the state level. The federal government is too corrupt to be fixed by just replacing one man. Starting from the state level and working up is the only way to fix it.

See, Impy, continuing on my earlier theme, if you wanted to be actually productive in criticizing DeSantis, you'd say something that has even the slightest chance of being accepted by people other than yourself.

Retarded crap like "DeSantis is bribed and blackmailed by feminists" has an audience of precisely zero.

There are intelligent criticisms one could make. Like RDS raising teachers' salaries. Or uncertainty about whether he is anti-establishment enough. He sure seems to be backed by all the establishment crowd. I also don't know if he is able to take a punch.
