You know, I found this just horrifying since even under actual communist rule the children's books were apolitical over here (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

Wrong. There was a video here of a child who was so young she could barely speak properly reciting the leftist talking points answers to questions her mother was asking her.

Even if you watch some Soviet children's cartoons they're surprisingly wholesome.

That is because the Stalin murdered the Trotskyists.

He knew, very clearly, along with Lennin and many others, that a state of perpetual, unending, international revolution would destroy basically everything. The Soviet Union had to be a bastion of Communism to then push outward. They had to build something.

The West is now infested with Trotskyists, Alinskists, and Bolshevists who demand that perpetual, unending, permanent revolution that destroys everything.

They are less like the Soviet Union, and more like the Khmer Rouge.

That Tom and Jerry Soviet clone "Well, Just You Wait!", is interesting.

The villain character is a chain-smoking wolf.

Also, as another example of why the Soviets lost the Cold War, that cartoon was named Russia's #1 cartoon of all time and ran from 1969 to the fall of the Berlin Wall, but somehow only managed to produce 16 short episodes.

No, only 2 episodes were made after 1986 (and during capitalism).

I'm not sure did they go with it, but the plans for it were to have the world's son as the good guy (a peaceful musician) and the rabbit's son as a villain (a hooligan).

Well keep in mind, you're comparing what we have today to actual communism after the purges

The very first thing that every communist regime does is kill all the "useful idiots." All the intellectuals who supported communism? Off to the gulag. The early organizers who created and passed out communist propaganda? Off to the gulag. The "true believers" in the ideal of communism? For-fucking sure they go straight to the gulag.

Why? Because these people are willing and able to question the actual policies of the """communist""" government. And a communist government is really just a totalitarian government with a better origin story. Anyone who questions or may question them gets purged, and purged hard.

The people who survive in positions of political power aren't actually communists - they're sociopaths willing to crack skulls to support the totalitarian government. They're basically gangsters.

And then afterwards, when the dust settles, you might get a few children's books. Sure. That's fine. Whatever. That's like selling lemonade on a block controlled by the mafia. They don't give a shit.

You're comparing that with what we have today. What we have today is much closer to the Salem Witch Trials. These people are literally brainwashed, and the people in power support them.

More like the earlier witch frenzy after the Hammer of Witches was published. The Church itself went through a total 180 on the issue of things like witches and werewolves being literally real (rather than just metaphorically so) because of the pressure it caused.

This is precisely the problem that Harris/Biden are running into now. The progressives are getting annoyed that they didn't get everything, and Biden voters are posting their L's. If they could, they'd absolutely purge the Left, but they simply aren't strong enough yet.

...

Which is why I think we might go to war with Russia.

I've had a kids story kicking around in my head about a falcon, penguin, and peacock. They're best friends and are the best at flying, swimming, and being pretty respectively. Then a Huffy Puffin comes to their island and convinces each of them they're making their friends feel bad by being exceptional. So they stop doing what they love to "help" their friends, and the puffin steps in as the new best bird, even though she's just average in each category.

For a children's story, you need a simpler narrative. You've got an upward and a downward story flow, when it should only be a downward flow for stories for youth under 4. You should begin with the four birds together, and the Puffin challenging the others to contests they aren't good at, but it is average, because it wouldn't be "fair" to compete in something they're obviously the best at. Then it lords it over them and laughs at them. They talk it out and realize the Puffin is purposefully keeping them from showing off their real talents, and compete in their dominant trait. Puffin flees the scene as all the birds in the flock praise the trio for being good at one thing.

Finish with pithy statement about how everyone is good at something, and shouldn't feel bad about what they worked hard to be good at.

An alternative ending would be that somehow a disaster happens to Huffy Puffin, and the trio need to use their strengths to solve the problem, and Puffin realizes its errors in trying to stop people from excelling.

Sure, but in those situations the kid may regularly have thoughts that the parent does understand.

Also, I've never found tutors that are truly smart except kids that haven't realized their worth yet. They might last a few years then off to college.

the innate goodness of the child

Hmm, no that's not what I meant at all. Children are little monsters who would avoid studying anything if we let them. (obviously #notallchildren)

I meant parents and experienced teachers would judge each child's individual aptitude from birth and push him as far as they think he could go.

Summerhill is a successful school, especially given that they often work with problematic children who do not fit in usual schools.

People have a natural need for knowledge. Eventually, children would start learning that which interested them. In your words, children would do what their individual aptitude leads them to do.

It would be great in theory, but in practice a lot of kids, adults even, aren't ready to learn even really basic life facts.

The sheer number of people who don't know how to file their taxes is astounding, even if with the internet it is a simple task to learn how the moment you're ready to learn.

One of the globalist goals is to destroy education and individual reasoning to the point that people are taught all the things that are most harmful to them. It makes them helpless and completely dependent on a despotic government. This fulfills the dual purpose of also dividing people against each other instead of their actual oppressor, the despotic state.
