That's a pretty naive take. The US is energy independent, but financially intertwined. GCC countries hold some of the largest investment capitals in the world, and they have highly invested in the AI bubble and the US stock market in general. As the Witcher 3 only cost $80M to develop, every additional copy sold even for a heavy discount, was a bonus. That wouldn't be the case if it cost 10x as much, despite being a good game.
