Always keep in mind that one of the the primary pre-requisites to be an officer in the military is a college education. What does that have to do with the military? As college graduates became woke, so has the military officer corps. Until woke is eradicated at the university level, this rot will continue to fester.
Unfortunately, the clock is ticking. Soon there will be no institutional expertise left that existed before woke invaded the military. Even those who joined due to 9/11 attack are approaching 25 years of service, and those who were in uniform before the attack are even older. Because of the hard 30 year time in service cap, in five years there won't be anyone left in uniform that remembers what military life was like pre 9/11.
DEI in the military has been a government pet project since Johnson. It’s just been a slow snowball effect that Clinton and Obama made massive and all consuming. I don’t even blame colleges, any retard can get a criminal justice bachelors and be “eligible” to be an officer. The military is so broken internally by bureaucracy that they actively recruit those retards because of their genitals and skin color, they then mass promote those retards to get the first blah blah identity as a blah blah position. Those DEI hires are now the upper middle managers in the military and things are only going to get massively worse until bureaucracy is gutted from the military.
I feel bad for any young men that were duped into buying the bullshit, hopefully they stay safe and GTFO as fast as possible, the military went to complete shit over a decade ago and absolutely nothing has changed.
For some of the Republican types, its brainwashing. For others, it is desperation. A lot of men have no job prospects. If becoming a boot for israel is a way to avoid homelessness, some will bite.
DEI was a thing in early 2000s I was given the option of ELS after a relatively minor injury in basic and then offered a job with a military contractor. I saw women who were sent to MRP for same thing. As far as I saw MEB didn't even really give a shit they were just pushing as much help as they could to the females. Female recruits were maybe 10% of male but they had to split barracks into two to keep them separated females got massive huge facilities all the males crammed together. Despite that one of the female recruits was complaining about there not being enough sinks in the morning I guess it was a hogging the mirror type situation. You would think that while you were on basic you wouldn't give a shit what you look like but they're all still doing makeup and hair. So she brushed her teeth in one of the old urinals that hadn't been used in years thinking that it was clean ended up with a flesh eating virus in her mouth. Apparently she nearly died but she was able to complete basic after MRP.
So while that may be true regardless, what does Hegseth have to do with a fire in 2020 that went to trial and ended in 2022? Am I missing something here?
Reads to me like Brianna Lounsberry is trying to throw Edwin Kongo and Jervis Leodones under the bus after her attempts on Ryan Mays went South.
I've no problem with her finding fault in Mays' conduct in communicating his concerns whilst serving but that matter is trivial compared to what was being expressed. Kongo, on the other hand, had an Apple watch which brings a whole new set of questions into account.
Contractors were at fault here, not the servicemen or not Brianna. Not to say there aren't things to query about all of them, but external agents on a military vessel destroying it is where the scope of this should be.
The likely (actual) perpetrator was a black sailor who magically had a “suicide attempt” after multiple interviews with a female investigator, he then was “no longer under navy jurisdiction” and they stopped pursuing him as a suspect.
There would have been tens of thousands of women fired if the US military walked back on DEI, let alone fully removed it, but let's assume they are grandfathered in for now. Is there a serious attempt to increase the standards for new recruits? I highly doubt it.

Nobody clicked through to read that the fire took place in 2020 and the sailor was found not guilty in 2022? This is a complete Biden admin story arc.
Thank you, non-lazy comment section hero who actually read TFA for me ;)

No one got removed. Every single one of the people that pushed this bs case on May is still there.
