Troy was the first 13+ movie (wasn't R rated in Greece) I watched with my father on the theater. I was 11 at the time. Will 100% rewatch it with my father if it re-releases here in Greece as well. Somehow I doubt it will happen, despite movie theaters struggling here (92% drop in ticket sales compared to 2008).
Troy sold about ~1 million tickets back in the day, while 300 sold ~1.5 million. Oppenheimer sold about ~375K which is what I expect Nolan's new polished turd to do. If you read that "The Odyssey" sold out in Greece, know that it's a lie and they aren't taking into account that dozens of movie theaters have shut down during the past 15 years. Woke leftists and Nolan stans will flock to see it, but the average Greek won't.
I posted here the other day that Arrow is re-releasing "Troy" in 4K in August. I know that cinemas here will let you rent a theater and play Blu-rays for your private party. Maybe your family and friends can do that? I would call your local cinemas and ask if they host private screenings.
