All RT and most media reviews are fake, even the negative ones. Either you toe the line or stop being invited to premieres. If you stop being invited to premieres, your articles will get way less traffic and you will become less relevant as a reviewer simply due to momentum. Even the economist publishing an honest review is probably some form of contrarian payback. Maybe they didn't feel treated well enough considering the prestige of the publication or didn't get a private audience with Nolan. It's always been a shitshow, we just didn't know about it 20 years ago.
I've seen several reviews and reviewers ripping this movie to pieces, and yet... 96% critic and 97% audience ratings on RT.
Is there any way to prove that RT falsifies ratings on movies like this? Can we prove some reviews are fake, or negative reviews are scrubbed, etc.?
