Evolutionary biology is incorrect here. It's evolutionary psychology -- which is basically splitting hairs.
One of the hardest red pills I have ever had to swallow is that the vast majority of women (even my PhD wife) are logically deficient and rely on feelings. When you rely on feelings you can justify any of your actions because it "felt right/good."
You know, Imp, I do mostly agree with you. I think a lot of us do. But only 85-95% -- and that last little bit feels like a huge gulf.
You are who you are and you don't (and shouldn't) apologize for that -- but I do wish you could temper your rhetoric a bit. You would accomplish more.
Now we need people to understand that this happens throughout academia. You aren't allowed to question certain tenets and if you do you are excommunicated.
This guy is a professor with his own reputation and titles and achievements and he was powerless. Now imagine an undergrad or a grad student just trying to get by.
You tell yourself you're just going along to get by -- but you get stuck in the feedback loop he mentions. You're just a trained seal performing tricks for cold fish.
It sucks your soul out a little, day by day. And before long, you find you aren't faking anymore... or you have no incentive to ever stop.
even literal drooling retards do this
I manage a residence for literal drooling retards ("individuals with developmental disabilities" as I say in my day to day...) -- and this is spot on. If I tried to explain to one of my people that a MAN who looks like a MAN should be called she/her, it would short-circuit their already-faulty wiring.
I mostly appreciate their candor and the bullshit-free existence that they lead.
I think you have a point about titles, but I also think it's just a perversion of perception enforced at gunpoint.
And yet... he is asking the same questions I did before alienating most of my social circle to stump for Trump and vote for him.
I just really want to see him sit down with Dennis Prager to apologize for his "male menstruation" ridicule. Prager was right.
I think the simplest answer is that every institution is suffering from worse-than-advertised brain drain.
They are lazy because they never expect someone to check their bona fides. They either don't care to cover themselves or just assume you won't check.
It is reassuring, however, that pretty much everyone with two nurons to fire against each other is on the right now. Even Bill Maher sounds like me in 2016 these days, even though he still claims to be a liberal, and no one would accuse him of being a mental heavyweight (note: he isn't dumb, but he is fairly intelligent as far as talking heads go).
Aha... must be the new Michael Kimmel -- it seems there always must be one cuck male academic out there pushing poison onto men.
I do think, fwiw, that therapy can help men, but not the typical therapy that most people think of -- going in and dumping your feelings to feel better.
Humanistic ("person-centered") therapy could help men who come from failed families and broken homes to repair some of the damage done by making them aware of the issue and empowering men to fix their own lives. Jordan Peterson's 12 Rules is a perfect example of this kind of message.
But it sure as hell doesn't require you to go sit in a room and talk to someone about your feelings. It's opening yourself up to lessons and new perspectives to break the conditioning you've gotten for decades in this hellhole society/culture.
You know, I did that last year -- my wife really wanted to go and one of her best friends and husband were going, so we went.
Yes, San Francisco is as bad as or worse than you've heard. I saw a bumfight within 5 minutes of getting in a car. BUT, for the two days we were there we stayed in a very carefully planned tourist area, and it was fine.
As much as we hate California and their suicidal policies, it is still a beautiful place, and it is worth saving as soon as we can drive all of the snakes out.
I'll also say something a little contrarian and say that I don't despise the SF Mayor... I'm sure she's a progressive and I'm sure she's no one I would ever vote for, but she can at least admit there's a huge problem in her city, and that's actual progress.
Yeah we aren't going to change human biology here... no one is ever going to give a shit about male suffering.
It feels manipulative to use women and girls as a political cudgel to get your way, but we are going to have to learn if we want people to take notice. Good leaders would need to ensure that men aren't being left behind in the process (and this is where the West just continually fucks up).
Dave Portnoy, somewhat ironically given his word-salad tendencies, described Detroit style pizza perfectly: "it's an offensive lineman - looks heavy, plays light."
Love some good Detroit style pizza.

You may be on to something. The mold-breakers I know were typically very reserved about their sexuality, generally because of their parents (as it should be, really -- why is it ever a topic of conversation?)... but I wonder if there's an aspect of "never fell into that trap" to it, as well.
If there were to be data to back that up, it'd certainly be ironic that keeping your kids in the closet as long as possible will stop them from developing degenerate tendencies.
it's been a long time since I read the study -- and you'll have to forgive me but I don't want to go chase my source for a random internet comment I made -- but if I recall correctly the answer is actually no.
Generally, once gay males decide to commit and be married, it's a solid, monogamous relationship.
I actually misspoke earlier -- there are a couple gay men I know who aren't sexual degenerates. They're so utterly normal I didn't even think about them. One couple has been married about 5 years, the other about 20.
I do believe that homosexuality tends to manifest from some sort of abuse as a child (which is sadly vastly underreported)... but it is an interesting question as to why there exists a minority who don't go on to full-blown sexual deviance.
This remains to be seen until the next batch of decisions (months from now) -- but I get a sense Roberts is getting fed up.
I see what he has been doing -- trying to find a middle ground and not rock the boat too much. But this recent talk of packing the court and questioning his colleagues is definitely getting under his skin.
Also Kagan, Sotomayor, and now Brown are so fucking retarded that it gets harder and harder to side with them.
I really pray I am right. The time is long past to stop stradding the middle ground because the left just keeps pulling that middle further and further left.
Averaged over 60 is low.
One of my buddies in my early 20s was gay. Over drinks one night I said "come on, I gotta know -- how many guys have you been with?" He looked me in the eyes and said "I stopped counting at 100 when I was 16."
My other buddy when I lived in asia was a very shy, quiet, fat and nerdy dude. He used to go to a bathhouse in the Jong-no district of Seoul every weekend and get spitroasted by 6-10 different guys. During the week he would pick up 5-10 more through Grindr.
Just last week I met one of my wife's childhood friends... they come from a conservative country and upbringing (Philippines) -- these are very highly educated professionals at this point in their lives. He dipped on us several times in just a couple days to go suck a dick for 20 mins. Grindr again.
While I am sure there are many gay men who want a long term solid thing (and the data bears this out, believe it or not. Once gay men settle down into a LTR it tends to be the most rock-solid of any pairing, at least in terms of divorce) -- every gay dude I know well is a huge sexual deviant.
While living abroad, I finally caved and got on Tinder.
I deleted the app three days later, but I still met my wife on there. To be fair, this was the ONLY way to meet other foreigners in that country at the time. Neither of us were looking for hookups. She comes from a very traditional country and is a PhD.
It is just one of those weird baseball stats about me. I met my wife on Tinder but I used the app for less than one week.
Or how Rowling totally had the story arc of Potter sketched out
That hate boner didn't spring forth from the ether, though. Most mainstream churches in the West have lost their own way and fall for everything/stand for nothing.
If these midwits understood Islam to the same level most of us do, they would have just as much of a hate boner.
It is the same with the Chinese. Most people have no idea that China is our enemy and acts like it in overt ways (even down to their indoctrination chambers/schools). Once this bumps up against their personal world, they will give a shit... but of course it will be far too late.
If I recall correctly, I think Dawkins himself came to this conclusion or something similar... religious faith is important to us on a biological level, and without 'God' people will find something to place faith in.
Quite literally the devil you know vs the one you don't. And he said this before the coof came around and proved him right.
Deputy Mayor 2001-2014
Mayor 2014-present
Jesus Fucking Christ, Europe... just reinstate the monarchy at this rate.
I generally agree with you here, too.
It's a complex issue I haven't had much time to think about with all the other more important shit going on for the past decade or so.
I am still working through the nuances of my opinion, but I tend to agree we need more executions, not fewer.
The world is cruel and brutal... and I think we have lost our way a little bit in this modern world. Heinous crimes are no less common since we decided as a society to show mercy, and I generally don't think it turns out well when the state respects the life of those who don't respect others'.
But there are the obvious caveats that our justice system as it stands is broken and corrupt.
It's honestly about 85%, possibly even higher, that can act somewhat normal.
I really think we are underetimating how thoroughly destroyed the black family has been destroyed by the Dems. LBJ wasn't lying when he said he would "have them niggers voting democrat for 100 years."
As soon as blacks fully gave up on being a part of society (sometime after 1990, but it was probably around then), it has all slid downhill incredibly quickly.
We would notice immense gains if we started calling out the cancerous culture they have, instead of coddling it and ignoring it.
She's a time bomb because she uses feelings before logic?
That is quite literally nearly every woman, mate.
