In their defense, Persona 3 and 4 were PS2 games where DLC wasn’t really an option. I was naive (stupid) enough to buy Persona 4, figuring the inevitable additions would be a DLC. But nope, they pulled that bullshit move of “there’s so much new material it was impossible to integrate it with DLC.”
Fucking pricks.
Oh. It’s not going to include content from FES, either. That just seems lazy. Especially now that we run the risk of them EVENTUALLY adding all that as DLC, as if they were surprised to find out there was additional content to remake.
I always hear the the Critical Drinker and others of that ilk mindlessly parroting the "Captain Marvel only did well because it came out between Infinity Wars and Endgame" theory. They conveniently forget, or intentionally ignore, that Antman & the Wasp was also positioned between Infinity Wars and Endgame, but only made about half what Captain Marvel did.
Clearly there was some other factor at play.
He wrote that gay tranny series Sense8 on Netflix, which the Wachowskis directed. Take a guess how that was. He was also behind the post-apocalyptic TV series Jeremiah which was okay, but unresolved. He was a lead writer on the Real Ghostbusters TV series in the 80’s, which was better than a 30 minute commercial should be. Babylon 5 is probably his best work, though.
Why is showing cops as anything but cartoonishly evil “copaganda”? Should vilifying them be “copaphobia” the way that showing a Muslim as a terrorist is “Islamphobia”? Why is it acceptable to paint one group with a wide brush and not another?
I’m baffled by this. Remember when that show 13 Reasons Why came out on Netflix? Everyone was in a panic because teens are so impressionable that they’ll be compelled to kill themselves if they see it depicted in a show. But being trans or whatever? Nope, not impressionable then. How do liberals square that?
That’s kind of been Final Fantasy since 7. I remember there was a cutscene so long that the game asked me if I wanted to save in the middle of it. Gave up on FF after that. Made the mistake of trying again with 13. Not bothering after that.
Got to love that double standard. “90% of the riots were peaceful so you can’t even criticize the ones that weren’t.” Meanwhile, if you point out that only 5% of whites owned slaves you’ll still get “THE WHOLE RACE IS GUILTY!”
This is something that needs to be addressed with legislation. Not just to protect people from a company’s bullshit decision but also to guard against them going out of business or phasing out existing tech (in favor of pushing someone to a newer product). If turning off service risks bricking someone’s home then there should be something compelling them to switch it to some kind of local “dumb” mode. A lot of the bells and whistles might be turned off, but there would be a basic level of usability.
