What’s even more pathetic is the shilling that there are only “12 million” illegal immigrants in the US. They’ve been pushing the same lie ever since Obama took the question off the census. Every independent study put it at over 20 million before Biden took office. That didn’t even include the 14 million “anchor babies” that were present at the time. Right now we’re realistically looking at an illegal population at around ~10% (or higher) of total US population. Think about that for a second, 1 out of every 10 people in the US is here illegally, sponging benefits that you aren’t even allowed to apply for.

I don't think anybody knows the actual number on that one, it wasn't in anybody's interest to document it accurately.
If they just looked at school rosters, there are probably 12 million illegals in the public school system alone.

It's caused a real weirdness in how we perceived things. Florida is the first place I have been to where Hispanic celebrations were more than just Poor Mexicans. It insults the rich Mexicans and the Argentines alike, but the vast majority in the US are the poor Mexicans.
The south west and Texas get even weirder because many are Mexican but have been in the USA since it took over the area.

A fully assimilated half-German (specifically Vandal) second-gen immigrant almost saved Rome, if not for an out-of-nowhere pain train capped off by the Senate engineering a coup running him & his entire family over between 406 and 408 - Flavius Stilicho. Another half-German (in that case probably Gothic) saved the Roman world from Attila the Hun himself on the Catalaunian Plains - Flavius Aetius. (His father was described as a general from the province of Scythia, today's Dobruja split between Romania & Bulgaria, but by the late 4th century when that father would've been around the province had already been lost to the Goths in all but name.)
I would love to meet whatever son of a modern Somali migrant and the clueless AWFL who shrieked for his every crime to be excused can even remotely measure up to those men's quality. I suspect, though, that I will be waiting a very, VERY long time for such a surprise. To say the least.

Tbf, not only was Arminius from a wholly different period 300 years before the great barbarian migrations, but he wasn't quite an immigrant or an immigrant's descendant like Stilicho & Aetius. Just the prince of a pro-Roman tribe who took Roman money & fought with them long enough to learn all their tricks. His victory at Teutoburg overshadows him later getting his ass beat into the ground by Germanicus (which is why the Romans had provinces called 'Germania' into the 5th century, some emperors even made Trier their capital from time to time - most famously Constantine the Great), and most of his own family fought against him. His tribe, the Cherusci, became tame under his nephew, a dude so pro-Roman that he was literally named Italicus.
I would liken Arminius to basically a Germanic Osama bin Laden, really. Petty royalty who was on the payroll of a more civilized great power to fight other savages; came to despise said great power that he turned against it in dramatic fashion; was opposed by his own kindred; eventually got rekt by the aforementioned great power; and yet that great power can at best only maintain an indirect hold over his homeland through puppet regimes rather than directly conquering it.
Germans just did a walkabout and took over more territories after Rome moved to Germany.
What can the citizens do that won’t make matters worse and get them thoroughly fucked over, too? We’ve already seen the government values the “undocumented” citizens more than actual ones.
Frankly the government needs to be put down as much as the invaders do since both are enemies of the nation.
They get arrested if they try to do anything about it. Literally. A week or so ago in Staten Island people were protesting migrants getting bussed into their neighborhood by Mayor Adams. The cops showed up, and arrested 10 of the protesters.
That sounds highly illegal, but I’m not surprised. Liberals easily sidestep protest of illegal immigration by declaring it hate speech.

Yes. It just requires the will to do so.
Yes, and it will get very ugly and violent...but congress will never have the courage to do it.
Anything is possible. It's a matter of feasibility and morality. How much money are you willing to spend to deport them and how upset do you want to make people?
The only way to do it is to deputize every citizen as enforcers of the law.
No jobs for illegals, no housing for illegals, no groceries for illegals. Give them a choice: go home, or starve on the streets here.
Most will return home with the money they've saved living outside the system (except for the benefits).
Whenever leftists try to cover this kind of stuff up it makes me think of this scene.
The only solution is the founding of America 2.0. All the illegal migrants must go there to get the true American experience. Legacy Amercians will have to suffer through the unenriched, unupdated American 1.0, the poor dears.
America 2.0 is Isreal, and the illegals need to start getting deported there yesterday.
