I advise don't because OP said his mum is 100% tuned in to msm. Going hard like that would put her off and make her double down. That what I think

Hm I guess, if you absolutely can pull this off - to convince her for you to not take it. Don't overwhelm her with all the dark shit behind it and people getting killed from it.

I reckon instead just to try and make the case that it probably won't do anything - given that so far you've been fine and that it's well known that taking any injection for all variants so far hasn't stopped it. And that every time it appears to be less deadly anyway. Better that if you do get sick you can tough it out.

If that fails, maybe start reaching out to other family or friends that could let you stay with them for a little while?

What happens if you keep telling her no?

I'm kinda disappointed. A lot of people who voted No around me still did still on the basis that they understood this referendum as one based on racial division.

They never even bothered to go to the voice.gov.au website and view the actual constitution amendment proposal and see this sham vote for what it was

I'm happy that No won, but kinda upset that many people still got played into taking sides without seeing the bigger picture - that it was a power play

Series S is the best console atm if you still want to upgrade. I am biased but I love it. Put emulators on and I take it around often to play fighting games - new and old - with friends. Loads fast. Lightweight, small so easy to pack

I have no interest in any new/ modern games atm so the series S has got me covered plenty

Nah it's just setting up another problem reaction solution power grab by the government. This, plus the Voice will on the surface "give power" to the abos but the Voice will ultimately enable the government to install their own people to push their agendas via a useful idiot.

And outside of the Voice there's already friction between local governments and abos flexing their land rights. Few months ago the abbos in WA demanded a couple $million and they would then give permission for people to move in and plant trees on their land. Caused quite a stir. But more incidents like that and for sure the government will start to present them as belligerent, intolerant extremists and they'll push to strip land rights and power away regardless. A useful idiot abo as a Voice representative will help move that along

Then it'll accelerate towards full on communism here

It just goes to show how easily all these "world issues" can be fixed if more people do what mr beast.

Charity industry is obviously corrupt. But to the normie this really should show how incompetent they are

In most sci fi and dystopia themed media. Games, movies, TV, books, whatever... The default state of the world at the beginning of all these stories is already in the dystopia state. We rarely see how the transition plays out from start to finish. It just "is".

That's part of the problem too. Subtly programming us to think that the default state is to be living in that kind of a world, and that it's ok. Granted throughout these stories there are efforts to change that default state but that is irrelevant. The characters and the audience begin the journey in a fucked up world and they must navigate through it

Haven't seen it but read here and there and basically got the plot. It's subversive on all fronts

Not even considering the anti patriarchy messaging, something that affects everyone is the idea of the system status quo.

Barbie world or whatever -- ie. the current world order -- is a great place for the priveleged class at the top. Then there's an isekai trip and instead of the inspiration to change for the better, change is depicted as evil and the system must be maintained. The system itself originally is arguably evil and change would be welcome.

So another take on this movie is, patriarchy aside, it's going to program young girls and young boys into loving the current model of order, and programming them into supporting it/fighting for it/lashing out at revolutionaries, anyone who criticises it

They don't need the common man. Very clear that the financial system is fake. They can print up money and rescue Hollywood at a convenient time. If people rise up and revolt in response to that, they can print up money and feed it to military for crowd control

I've been told a lot of Africans coming here in Australia. where I am I've yet to see more than usual. But am seeing swathes of Nepalese coming here. They've basically dominated most of the regular services. You see them working all the restaurants, cafes, deliveries, retail shops, service desks, hotels, hospitals, etc.

I've already noticed a distinct decline in quality of goods & services. No one else there really has noticed. I'm certain there'll be a breaking point here soon. They wanna immigrate like 600k more Nepalese in the coming years

Typical of ND to kill their ips now. Uncharted 4 was great for the multiplayer, and after 2 years of blue balling and false promises since it's release killed that. Now I don't give a shit about uncharted

(Also why I knew way in advance to avoid tlou2)

I heard it plays on 30fps, not 60fps. That's make or break for me

Yep what those items in the op pic are complaining about isn't real capitalism. It's a socialist-capitalism abomination in disguise

these comments... bitching about diversity and race when the real issue is that the Fast movies are going full on sci-fi to normalise all the technocratic shit coming our way. namely the surveillance and cyber warfare shit

I thought these people loved super heroes and the ideas of cleaning up a society that has succumbed to so much corruption and decay?

Then when they finally enter the world they fantasized about suddenly it's "Nooo!! You can't just take vigilante justice into your own hands!!!" ??
