Watching TG: Maverick in the theater, right before the movie started there was a video message from Tom Cruise both apologizing to the audience for the movie taking so long to release and thanking them for seeing the movie in the theater. For all his faults he seems to be a guy who legitimately cares about the 'magic' of the movies. He has always impressed me with his insistence on having real stunts in his movies and not going the lazy route by doing it all in CG.

tl;dr: Youtuber Karl Jobst and 'pro gamer' Billy Mitchell have been having a back and forth spat for years. Billy is quite the cheater when it comes to records both old and new, and Karl garnered millions of views calling him out. So Billy sued Karl in an AU court (where Karl lives) for defamation. Karl told everyone it was for the cheating allegations, turns out it was for Karl implying that Billy had a hand in ApolloLegend's suicide (another YTer).
Apparently the defamation suit was focused on Karl's allegations that Billy caused ApolloLegend to commit suicide, not the cheating claims as Karl had been reporting. Being tried in an Australian court for defamation, he really had no chance.
