anyone notice how ugly most of the chicks in Wheel of Time are?
That would have required me to watch it 🙃
I know Moraine was played by... 🙄 [I needed to go look this up because I actually forgot her name], Rosamund Pike but she would have looked better for the part 10 years ago when she was in The World's End (2013) from The Cornetto Trilogy or as the badgirl from Bond Die Another Day (2002) another decade before that, but now she looks visibly aged which isn't the point of Aes Sedai.
Literally someone who needs beaten with a belt, namely the cursed one from Aerie's circus after you free her and Quayle since its a Cursed Belt of Sex and would actually do for them what is supposed to be the point 🙄
Failing that pray to one of the God's for divine blessings, buy a Greater Wish, or piss off Elminster since he proves he can cast the spell to do the same thing when Edwin is dumb enough to do just that. It's literally a world setting where someone can actually transition completely but still the characters get added.
I'm forcing myself to complete it as I'm a fan of BG1 and 2 but is a chore to play.
Baldur's Gate 2 is one of my favourite games ever and I'm not touching this cash grab and nostalgia bait. The Bhaalspawn saga ended with Throne of Bhaal and no attempts to revive it 20 years later will change my mind.
There is nobody left to fight that matters. Sarevok was set up very early in BG1 when he murdered Gorien while coming for the protagonist leading to the revelation about the protagonist's parentage. Irenicus is introduced immediately at the start of BG2 and stomps the shit out of everyone who is dumb enough to get in his way signifying just how important he values the protagonist. While not the actual final antagonist the ToB expansion revolves around Bhaal so much it's named for him. When the dust settles the number of Bhaalspawn left is either one or none, not counting the one who teleport when scared because he can die in Saradush if you don't cast a Horror spell on him so his fate isn't important.
But because D&D is now trendy various groups and grifters are looking to milk the hobby and related media for everything they can, which inevitably means dumbing the games down in order to appeal to an even larger audience now.
You owe these parasites nothing. They likely view you as little more than nothing. When these franchises fail the ones who drove them into the ground neither care or suffer any consequences since they will still fall into a new job doing the same shit in a different spot. You owe them nothing.
the "stigma" of being overweight
These people are fucking stupid. Social shaming aside the basic biological facts that being overweight kills you sooner needs to be repeated since it brings with it increased medical burdens to both the individuals involved as well as the medical facilities being used. Facilities which could be dealing with issues other than someone who simply can't stop eating.
Healthy at any size, dead by 35.
I wonder what the timeline is for him coming out as gay and women who would defend oggling him back then using "but he's gay!". Something tells me enough years difference that the defence attempt is retroactive gaslighting.
picrel
JFC I'm not a fan of the original NX design but those drawings are utter trash. They could have taken the ultra cheap route and simply traced over existing ships or models as it's something comics have done, blatantly, for years.
And what the fuck are those Romulans ships? They had warbirds at this point which were far more recognisable!
Irredeemable has a quite a rocky ending and occasionally gets overshadowed by Incorruptible. The basis for why Tony snaps was very grounded and one of the better "evil Superman" inspirations but it feels like Irredeemable lasts just a bit too long with its 37 issues vs the 30 for Incorruptible.
Brit, Capes, and Guarding the Glob
Brit gets weird with the dimension jumping stuff but then that's somewhat consistent with the Invincible universe. I only read Capes recently despite the run being out for so long and it was both a great read and unfortunate victim of the main story when it caught up to certain events. GtG has some very worthwhile reading for what happens to Rudy and Monster Girl, though.
There are a few other related comics set in the same universe. Techjacket is the universe's Blue Beetle stand in and there's a comic somewhere about the werewolf character, but both are far more detached from Invincible than the others. Still quite good.
Debt of Honor
I have a physical copy of this somewhere as well as a TNG story I haven't ever been able to remember the name of that involved a water planet being evacuated. Both were some of the first non live action Star Trek and Wars media I grew up with. TMP era Star Trek ship design is still my favourite, minus the Oberth/Grissom because open spaces inside ships is just dumb, and seeing more of the TMP setting in Debt of Honor was always something I enjoyed.
Also the bits with the whales were a nice feature in the story.
Would recommend Kirkman's current comic, Fire Power, for those looking to read something good. That site in the OP has the issues released so far and the prequel which obviously should be read first. I could never get into TWD, comic or show, but I have greatly enjoyed Kirkman's other stuff.
So what I'm hearing from this is that you get more time in prison protesting the current regime that's oh-so-desperate to claim it's 'legitimate', than you do murdering people.
Apparently to get the really big sentences you need to defraud the rich, like happened today with some crypto guy getting over 11'196 years as a sentence. To make matters even more absurd the prosecution was looking for almost 4 times that [40'562 years].
